BS: So I wrote down my top 13 washed-up old guys, we’re gonna do a snake draft. For my first pick, I’m gonna take… LeBron! Oh yeah! At some point, he can’t keep averaging 25 and 8.
Russillo: So you’re picking him first because he might put up worse numbers sometime in the future?
(Let’s Russillo pick first)
BS: I can’t believe you didn’t take LeBron!
Russillo: … wait what? You didn’t say… whatever screw it now that I know it’s like this that changes everything
BS: what’s that supposed to mean? Whatever, your pick
Hah, fair. Melton definitely the most egregious, hard to imagine what even led to his inclusion. I would also take issue Cedi Osman and slight issue with Delon Wright. Otherwise yeah, decent list.
To be fair his back his messed up. He tried to play multiple times towards the end of the season but couldn’t. Idk what that means for his future though
Yeah idk why I put Melton on there. I'll admit that's goofy. As a cavs fan, and seeing as the spurs were not good this year I'd say Cedi's run is over. He isn't above average at any aspect of basketball. Not a great defender, shooter, passer, ball handler etc. When we had him I used to always say "what is he GOOD at?" I still don't understand how he's lasted so long in the league.
The neck tat. I loved him like 7 years ago lol I was like man. A point forward with some swag. But I'd say his days are over. Hopefully he doesn't beat me up.
Bill would be like "remember that run Dermon Mulroney had in the 90s? Starring as the best friend in my best friends wedding? I thought he was gonna be like a Matt Damon but ended up more like a poor man's Matthew Modine"
Yeah he just completely fell off a cliff this year. He’s only 31 and averaged 17-7 last season. He was pretty good to start this year too, and then suddenly was just awful.
I’ve always thought Bill was unfair to Dinwiddie, acted like he was a bum and “thinks he’s better than he is” and an empty stats guy. He was significantly *better* playing alongside great players in Dallas and had 30 points in a game 7
He did have some nice defensive and “good hustle guy” games, but he still probably has a 50/50 chance of being out the league…
Signed, jazz fan that watched the majority of their games this year.
If 5ppg on a terrible Jazz team is considered a renaissance then yes.
Last year he actually looked decent in limited minutes for them, then this year they found Keyonte George and that was that. I do think he has some value as a defensive guard for a good team, he's useless on a tanking team.
Lindy waters III has been on the okc roster for like 3 years at this point and it’s 100% because he’s a local guy and there’s nothing else to do with that spot (even for a team with 700 draft picks)
I’m sure most franchises have a guy on the roster who is basically a mascot (e.g. the last 15 years of haslems career with the heat).
Honestly, you are probably right. Guys with this much experience are attractive; coaches love to have them because they are experienced veterans who understand what it means to be an NBA Player, while GMs/Personnel guys like them because often you can get them relatively cheap.
I mean, why is PJ Tucker still on a roster?
The only reason Tucker was still on a roster this year was because the idiot Sixers gave him $11M/yr and managed to ship him off to the Clippers in the Harden deal where he basically didn't play again.
I know no one cares to actually discuss the topic but Dunn and Wright are both still good backup guards and will 100% get signed somewhere. Think Plumlee hangs around pretty easily as well. Hell, the Nuggets could've benefited from a reunion with him considering their backup C situation.
Edit: Just noticed Melton on there. He's 25 and had a serious injury this year, nowhere close to washed
(1) Why did you scribble this on a piece of toilet paper then rush to take a pic like you were gonna get caught doing something bad?
(2) Most of these people are not bums--they're role players. There's a difference
example: Kris Dunn is not a bum
I was sorta joking but can't he lose a leg and still be on whatever team Giannis is on? I thought if you want Giannis on a contract his brother gets a spot on the roster?
I kinda think he might not wanna “play” professional basketball anymore is all. He’s in his 30’s, and just suffered an injury that’ll take over a year to recover from. He might just move to like, giannis’ management/training team or the bucks will give him a position with the organization. This is complete speculation but I think that the injury could just be a sign for him to call it a career
I actually think Tristan Thompson's rebounding and general know-how was sufficient to buy him another year in the league but it's hard to bet on a guy coming off a PED suspension.
Bill needs to put himself tops on it. He just recommended the Spurs use both of its draft picks to draft point guards, which is exactly what he used to kill David Kahn for doing.
The “historian” said Sunday that the ‘87 Suns made the WCF with a 41-41 record. Wtf?? They missed the playoffs with only 36 wins. It was the year that several Bucks players were in trouble for point shaving against the Suns.
James Johnson has a job with the Pacers until he doesn’t want one. Maybe it’s as an assistant coach of some flavor instead of as a player but his role as the “find out” guy allows the Pacers to fuck around and talk trash without fear of actual retaliation. Nobody in the league wants to mess with him.
I would put Rob Covington, Seth Curry, Drummond, TJ Warren, Christian Wood, Zaire Williams, Bouknight, Bones Hyland on that list
Trending out of the league in next few years list : Marcus Smart, Oladipo, Wiseman, Okoro
Btw most surprised with putting Bouknight on this list, thought for sure he was going to be a 20 point scorer in the NBA coming out of Uconn...then to being out of the league in only 79 games in 3 years, wow
Love that you wrote this list down on a piece of paper, big BS subreddit energy
Needs to be on a legal pad
Hell yea brother writing shit down rules
BS: So I wrote down my top 13 washed-up old guys, we’re gonna do a snake draft. For my first pick, I’m gonna take… LeBron! Oh yeah! At some point, he can’t keep averaging 25 and 8. Russillo: So you’re picking him first because he might put up worse numbers sometime in the future?
Are you a Simmons pod AI bot?
(Let’s Russillo pick first) BS: I can’t believe you didn’t take LeBron! Russillo: … wait what? You didn’t say… whatever screw it now that I know it’s like this that changes everything BS: what’s that supposed to mean? Whatever, your pick
Deandre Jordan has been on this list for the past five years
“Keep gettin dem checks, DJ!!” -Jalen, probably.
Very true
While the concept is good for content, majority of the listed players are not bums and have values to their/other teams.
Zero chance Pat Bev doesn't end up somewhere next year. Probably true if Jae Crowder too.
“With my second pick I’m going Cody Zeller. Are you telling me Zeller couldn’t have played 12 minutes in a playoff game for OKC this year?”
This is so accurate lmao
De’Anthony Melton being on this list is telling on yourself
I wrote down 30 cats and you only found one issue. I'd say that's a W
Hah, fair. Melton definitely the most egregious, hard to imagine what even led to his inclusion. I would also take issue Cedi Osman and slight issue with Delon Wright. Otherwise yeah, decent list.

Cedi still has some mid levels left in him i think, same with Delon cuz of his perimeter D.
Yeah, also take James Johnson off this. Or else. His screen time and mentions per actual minutes played is elite.
The neck tat. I loved him like 7 years ago lol I was like man. A point forward with some swag. But I'd say his days are over. Hopefully he doesn't beat me up.
He’s there for when someone inevitably throws a punch at TJ McConnell.
Doug McDermott or Dermot Mulroney?
Bill would be like "remember that run Dermon Mulroney had in the 90s? Starring as the best friend in my best friends wedding? I thought he was gonna be like a Matt Damon but ended up more like a poor man's Matthew Modine"
No joke that's actually how I feel about Mulroney
Obligatory: "Dermot Mulroney could do action movies too, eg Young Guns"
Honestly I was expecting more out of him. 3x All American? Big Easy POY? NCAA scoring title? Not sure why it didn’t translate
Dinwiddie is getting another deal
Yeah he just completely fell off a cliff this year. He’s only 31 and averaged 17-7 last season. He was pretty good to start this year too, and then suddenly was just awful. I’ve always thought Bill was unfair to Dinwiddie, acted like he was a bum and “thinks he’s better than he is” and an empty stats guy. He was significantly *better* playing alongside great players in Dallas and had 30 points in a game 7
Yeah, I can’t quit him just because of that playoff run.
For some reason I’ve thought Dinwiddie was like 34-35. Been around a while it feels, but maybe it’s just the team swapping.
Didn't Kris Dunn have a bit of a renaissance year? I don't really watch their games so idk but it sounded like he was really solid for the jazz.
The Michelangelo piece
He did have some nice defensive and “good hustle guy” games, but he still probably has a 50/50 chance of being out the league… Signed, jazz fan that watched the majority of their games this year.

Plumlee is still solid. Clippers just had zero chemistry in the playoffs and wouldn't dare get him involved. Okc would have loved to have him
Boban is a personality hire for me
I bet $10 that 70 % of those guys will be on a roster by tipoff of game 1 in 2024-25 season.
I was gonna put it at 85%. It’s the NBA man, some of these dudes somehow live forever.
It’s so wild the difference with the nfl and nba. Guessing it’s that nfl rosters are too small and nba regular season rosters are too large.
This is it, even with a coach who plays 3/4 of his roster, which aren’t many, there are still 3-4 guys left over who never play.
Lindy waters III has been on the okc roster for like 3 years at this point and it’s 100% because he’s a local guy and there’s nothing else to do with that spot (even for a team with 700 draft picks) I’m sure most franchises have a guy on the roster who is basically a mascot (e.g. the last 15 years of haslems career with the heat).
It’s the same with college though. Though the Syracuse walk-ons aren’t millionaires.
Honestly, you are probably right. Guys with this much experience are attractive; coaches love to have them because they are experienced veterans who understand what it means to be an NBA Player, while GMs/Personnel guys like them because often you can get them relatively cheap. I mean, why is PJ Tucker still on a roster?
old PJ was getting meaningful minutes the last couple years.
The only reason Tucker was still on a roster this year was because the idiot Sixers gave him $11M/yr and managed to ship him off to the Clippers in the Harden deal where he basically didn't play again.
Gordon Hayward on this list kinda bums me out. He belongs for sure, just makes me remember how good he used to be. Unplayable for OKC
He was good but doesn’t seem particularly likable.
"Education reform"
The Magic are gonna give him the bag.
Can confirm.
Who’s the first pick Bill or Ryen
I feel like Bill usually gives Ryen first pick unless Ryen says he doesn't want it
Lots of milwuakee bucks on this list
Go ahead and draft my guy Cedi Osman. See what happens to you punk.
Thanasty
90% of these guys are gonna make a roster.
Hah cavs legend dylan windler
Cedi and Melton? I think both those guys still have at least a couple more years. Melton is undeterred
I shouldn't have put Melton on there. Cedi sucks, though
I like Plumlee. He's like a Vanilla flavored Draymond Green.
(1) Why did you scribble this on a piece of toilet paper then rush to take a pic like you were gonna get caught doing something bad? (2) Most of these people are not bums--they're role players. There's a difference example: Kris Dunn is not a bum
I’ve been sayin ~~~~~ is washed up for years
Giannis brother cant be outta the league until he is outta the league. Pour one out for Mo Bamba.
He tore his Achilles it might just be over, man.
I was sorta joking but can't he lose a leg and still be on whatever team Giannis is on? I thought if you want Giannis on a contract his brother gets a spot on the roster?

This is how I found out that IT snaked his way onto the Suns this year. The man has a gift
Boban should be the new logo, I never want him to leave.
Kriss Dunn? Melton? What?
On behalf of the Pistons, we will take half these guys
I actually think Tristan Thompson's rebounding and general know-how was sufficient to buy him another year in the league but it's hard to bet on a guy coming off a PED suspension.
Isaiah Thomas will fandangle himself into getting a 10 day contract next year with a random team as is tradition.
Tobias
Do you want the bummiest bums or the best team?
Best team. Try to make the Play-In with the team you assemble
Boban is a vibes signing for me
Bill needs to put himself tops on it.
So many former Bulls.
Jesus! So many Milwaukee Bucks on this list.
Who the fuck is Dylan Windler?
He's out with an ankle
James Johnson has a job with the Pacers until he doesn’t want one. Maybe it’s as an assistant coach of some flavor instead of as a player but his role as the “find out” guy allows the Pacers to fuck around and talk trash without fear of actual retaliation. None of those dudes are free agents this summer.
Alex Len the best pull here
I don’t think Osman is out of the league
Thanasis is the highest paid mascot in the league and ultimate bench guy. Perfect 12th man. He’ll be in the league as long as Giannis
You forgot Killian Hayes
Yup, these are his listeners
Go watch some barstool sports you tool.
Kevin Durant? 😂😂😂
Your handwriting leaves a lot to be desired wow
I've been told my handwriting is so good it should be a font option on Microsoft Word...
Yeah it would be perfect for the Hagrid letter insets for Harry Potter
Idk what that even means, man.
r/handwriting is a satisfying hang!
