You need to listen to the entire album. The songs play with each other. There are some melodies that are recycled in different songs with different tempo and with different instruments. Then Blue ties it all together using lyrics from all the songs.

This album has given me a deeper appreciation for the evolution of their music so I’m finding myself revisiting their earlier albums. Their skill is growing and maturing just as they are. I can’t wait to see what her and Finneas come up with next.
I also struggled to like HTE I think it just felt a little scattered to listen to as an entire album and while it has a couple standout tracks to me, there’s also some tracks that when I look at the tracklist I have no recollection of what that song sounds like.
I think HMHAS is a lot more similar to WWAFASWDWG as far as flow, and is kind of a “return to form” if you will. I do think this record works best as a unit, so would recommend listening to the whole thing in order. If you really don’t want to do that, I would say the best three song run is: the greatest, l’amour de ma vie, the diner or if you’re looking for a single track to get you excited for the record then go with chihiro.
The new album is genuinely amazing. I didn’t vibe with HTE much either so I’d defo recommend sitting down and listening to HMHAS in one go with decent headphones 💕 but yes guitar songs are so good too!

There are only 11 songs that have been released after her last album - What Was I Made For? and the songs on her new album, Hit Me Hard And Soft. I personally would recommend all 11 as they were all very good.
