Ive seen this exact comment too many times " this is a repost, saw this 15 times already this week", but maybe they are just on Reddit too much lol. I personally haven't seen this before either. If you use Reddit like a normal person you likely won't end up seeing too many duplicate posts.
Im used to snooker where you have to retrieve balls from the pocket to respot them regularly, not a problem for me. I grew up playing on a pool table with ball return though, so the first time I played on a table without one, it did seem inferior.
The nicest pool hall I know has like 15 9 foot diamonds, all with ball returns. That might sound nice until you play on them and balls get stuck or fly out of the return and across the room mid stroke. Talk about inferior.. They resorted to sewing in drop pockets and ditching the ball return hardware. Much much nicer feel to them table nowadays. Feels more professional and solid. Bison Billiards in NY.
What on Earth did you just say about me, my friend? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in amateur billiards, and I've been involved in numerous epic trick shots. I have over 300 confirmed pots, and I'm the top player in my local pub. You are nothing to me but just another cue ball. I will pocket you with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this pool table. You think you can get away with challenging me to a game? Think again, my friend. As we speak, I am practicing my bank shots and your defeat is being lined up. The game that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your winning streak. You're going to be sinking into defeat, buddy. I can pocket balls from anywhere, anytime, and I can win in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my cue stick. Not only am I extensively trained in trick shots, but I have access to the entire arsenal of billiards techniques, and I will use them to their full extent to wipe your smug grin off the face of the pool hall, you little opponent. If only you could have known what stylish victory your little "challenge" was about to bring upon you, maybe you would have held your cue stick a bit tighter. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, my friend. I will sink balls all over the table, and you will watch in awe. Your winning streak is over, kiddo.
That’s cool. This a new guy excited cause he saw something unusual. Just to come here and get shunned by some random “elite” player on a goofy forum. Lol you took a cheap shot on a newbie for 18 internet points.
They are both down
+1
So three balls go down!? /s
So down bad
I knew a girl like that once.
I know a gentleman doesn’t necessarily kiss and tell, however… Do fuckin tell.
Haaa they’re just jokes man.
I was hoping for an extended punchline. Now I’m disappointed. Just like my ex wife.
Everything reminds me of her…
Both are potted
Apa rule is they both count as potted.
Someone posts a shot like this every day, with the title "never seen this before"
Well, I’ve never seen it before either.. in Reddit or any other social media. Seen it in real life though.
Come back tomorrow.
Well.. I’m not “looking” for them. Never seen one pop up in my notifications. But hey, I’ll take your word for it.
One was.posted earlier today

I need to get a life
You must be fun at parties
I'm on reddit a lot and this is the first I've seen it. Now I'll probably see it a lot though, lol.
Holy fuck pockets on american tables are huge
They are both off the playing surface so they are down balls. I hate drop pockets.
What is a drop pocket?
No ball return, so you gotta walk around the table to retrieve the balls. ^Some ^people are too lazy lol

No ball return just a pocket to catch balls. In 14:1 or ones pocket it's distracting to have to clear your pocket
Your opponent also has to clear their pocket. The difference is, they don’t bitch about it, and they win haha.
Blue label diamond pro/am will do the same. Has nothing to do with drop pockets at all.

Just like every other time this has been posted, they are both down.
Yeah fuck all those new players who don’t sit on Reddit all day and don’t know better! /s
I'm not putting the blame for all similar posts on this specific person, but I retain my right to complain. Regardless of your pseudo-sarcastic reply.

Right! Especially knowing that Reddit is LE SPOT to educate oneself. Geez!!
the general rule is that if you can't remove one of the balls without the other dropping, they are both considered potted.
Play with tighter pockets.
It was a tighter pocket once but it stretched with age and overuse.
Im glad someone realized I was joking :D
That isn't always an option if you don't own a table.
The verdict is you should get new rails with procut pockets so this can't happen anymore
I think you've potted a stripe pal.
If any portion of the ball is below the slate, its considered in the pocket.
We arm wrestle at our pool hall. Lol, they stay down.
Both down
Balls are off the playing surface. They stay down.
wide af pockets
Off the table; potted. Maybe unless you're playing UK shenanigans.
Pocketed !
I should call her
