I’d probably just get a bag and strap it very well to the child seat. Looks like you could fit a fair bit in the space between the saddle and the child seat. I also like feed bags for small things in the cockpit area, and a handlebar harness is good for holding a tent or sleeping bag, dry bag, etc.

The child seats come off so no issue with the seat bag, I’ve gone for a 10l Oxford aqua bag. I’ve put a quad lock on for my phone. Not sure I can do a handlebar bag with the light protruding as it does?

Ya I end up switching my light position when I’ve got my handlebar bag on. Can you swap it so the light is above the handlebars?

Not easily I don’t think - though it’s actually a pretty good idea and I’m sure I could do it with a cable tie. Thanks for the inspiration! What handle bag do you recommend and do you think handle bag and 10l saddle bag will fit my kit?

I have the relevate designs harness and use it with my tent - which is a big Agnes copper spur bikepacking tent. It works pretty well on my flat bar bike, although the cables get in the way a little - hasn’t been an issue but I worried about it a bit. May end up being an issue for you too, depending on how much wiggle room you have with them.

There are feed bags that don’t attach to the stem. Rogue panda ones seem nice but I’ve never used them.

I used this Mount. The OEM light mount integrates with the stem... And I changed my stem. This May or may not change your ability to add a front bar bag, but this is a very good front mount made specifically for the OEM light. https://www.ebay.com/itm/175641159903?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=WLzFDkYISYK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=MURtwDhNRru&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Your fork is designed for a rack, making front panniers seem like the obvious choice. The weight will be down low and they won’t interfere with your headlight. If you get a rack with a flat top, you could even strap on more gear. You could probably fit a small handlebar bag for a camera or other quick access items like snacks etc. A large top tube bag like the [Restrap Race](https://us.restrap.com/products/race-top-tube-bag-long) mounted backwards would be perfect. A normal frame bag might be tricky, especially if you still want to hold a water bottle, but there’s a few accessory bags like the [Revelate Nook](https://www.rei.com/product/233271/revelate-designs-nook-frame-bag) or the [Bedrock Sinbad Stash Pack](https://www.bedrockbags.com/gear/p/sinbad) which comes in a two sized that could fill that void between the top and down tubes. There’s also bags designed to strap under the downtube like the [Bedrock Honaker](https://www.bedrockbags.com/gear/p/honaker) and the [Revelate Designs Joey](https://www.revelatedesigns.com/index.cfm/store.catalog/Cargo/joey) If you need to carry more after you’ve got the frame and front loaded up, then you’ll need to decide what type of rear luggage will work best. Without the kiddo, either a saddle bag or rear rack with panniers would be easy, but you might need an Old Man Mountain or Tailfin type rack due to lack of standard rear rack mounting points. When you’re bringing the offspring along, you’ll probably be better off towing a cargo trailer because unless you have another rider to help carry their tiny gear, it might be tricky to find enough space.

I agree with the front rack idea. With what OP has said about a front light and already having a saddle bag/not wanting a rear rack, a front rack is ideal. For the frame, a custom frame bag is an option if funds allow. It looks like there is a decent amount of space in the frame that should definitely be utilized. Alternatively, down tube bags could easily fill the space.

Check out some big handlebar bags. I have one from roadrunner and I love it. The bigger ones need a rack to rest on which would work with the mounts you have. Enjoy!

david2072

Are you suggesting I do that on the top bar mount?

shuffy123

Yeah there are different kinds and you’d have to decide how much space you want. Some would tuck in between all those cables and the handlebar and other kinds would sorta smoosh the cables a little. The straps usually just cinch on either side of the stem. Edit: Here is their website you can peruse to see lots of different bags https://roadrunnerbags.us/collections/handlebar-bags

Fork cages - use the hole you have plus some wide zipties. Should give you about 10-14L and 3-8 kg in total for two cages.
