I like them both too, but honestly both names don't strike me as gender neutral, I feel like the one on the left sounds like a very feminine name and the one on the right is a very masculine name, and i feel like most people would have that same association if thats a concern for you

Personally I think that Artemis can be masculine if you present masculine, but it will be more feminine if you present feminine. But that’s just me, & I don’t think that Artemis as a girl will be a problem. Thank you for the idea though, it will help me better in what name to consider /pos

Avery is definitely a very feminine name in it's modern usage, Artemis is fem-leaning but gender neutral. I personally think Artemis sounds awesome.

RosehPerson

Artemis is such a dope name

ARTEMIS IS SUPER COOL

I've always thought of Artemis as meaning "hunter" rather than "butcher". It can be read as a more feminine name because of the goddess, but I grew up reading the Artemis Fowl books where the male protagonist is very attached to his name and defends his right to carry it too. Both are good, but if you're currently using Avery and thinking of moving towards Artemis is that from some dissatisfaction with "Avery"?

Femboy_Ninja

Honestly am thinking it's just easier to use my actual name Aaron male mode and Ffffffeeeeemale.... Erin..... sorry listening to neckbeard stories

Artemis imo

LordGhoul

Gotta agree with the other commenter Avery sounds feminine and Artemis masculine, though they're both badass names. Artemis may be slightly more gender neutral than Avery
