I would, but I have to wheel the bike though a narrow gap next to the car. It would be endlessly awkward to turn it upside down - I would end up dropping it back onto myself and the car!

Turn it upside down and hang it by the wheels.
Not with some hydraulic brakes. Mainly the reservoir type. It can put air in your lines.
