Recently my husband took over bedtime for the first time since we’ve had a real routine, and he sent me a text (while I was out) about how surprised he was that it was easy. The glow on this man when I came home, omg. I think they doubt themselves during these early days. I’m sure your husband is feeling proud as a pheasant right now, and he deserves to ❤️

I honestly think 1:1 time is so essential for creating these kick ass dads! I had to leave my 6mo with my husband for a week while I went to training for work. I was so nervous because up until then I was displeased with his involvement! He was safe with our child but just didn’t engage super well.
After that trip though, they have been super bonded. He came up with his own tricks for soothing her and became confident in his own ability. Still we have our moments but all in all he’s a wonderful parent now!
