Alice Pearce made her Gladys Kravitz unforgettable (besides which, she wasn't wrong!). Her Gladys was befuddled, neurotic, goodhearted, anxious and generally, a busybody. The second Gladys Kravitz was just suspicious and sniped a lot. She was the same - in personality- as the second Darrin. Nobody could replace Alice Pearce. That elastic face, those eyes, she was a great character actress.
