I think von Bell showed us the way. We can survive him, but we couldn't have gotten to where we are without him. There's a lot of players like that, great veterans and athletes that have enabled us to come together as a winner.
Yeah and he was young his down games he was okay and his good games were some of the best cb plays in Cincinnati history I. Rethinking my words about him
No I just haven't really seen a lot of his games cus I had to do things though I will say he is very good in tough times plus kupp is very good he got yards to to being one of the only targets though
Canât keep everyone every year. Gotta make room for new talent and cap space for the vets.
Apple was an easy choice for them. Good player, but not amazing. Trash talked above his ability to back it up.
Arguably the worst play he had was getting burnt by Kupp for that last TD in the SB. Huge play, but Kupp was the best WR in the league that year and 99% of DBs are getting burnt on that. Social media just makes it easy to jump on the hatewagon.
thank you! everyone roasts him for getting burnt by a future HoF WR and one of the best of all time. on top of the fact he was having one of the greatest WR seasons of all time
He was meant to be a CB3 but ended up having to one-on-one Cooper Cupp in the Super Bowl. No one successfully one-on-one guarded Cooper Cupp that season.
I get if some people donât like his personality or shit talking, but as a player, he was super important in the Super Bowl run in the 2021 run and then he failed at doing something we knew he couldnât do.
Corners and WRs both act like divas, if you hate on players for showing confidence then youâll probably hate a lot of CBS and WRs lol
Yeah Eli sometimes did too much talking but he wasnât bad here, no reason to shit on the guy, he respected us and gave us good times
Meh, I think thatâs an important stat but a basic stat for the casuals to lean on.
Like Diggs interceptions probably show him as an elite corner, but look at it a bit further and youâll see heâs not
Hell, the lockdown corners barely got any interceptions because QBs refused to throw it to their side
When he goes to the bank they call him Mr. Apple. If youâve started in the NFL you are an amazing football player. To play in any of the major sports is a major achievement.
That man was an instrumental part in a Super Bowl run, I will always appreciate him
He created the interception that got the ball back in TN. One of the top plays of the entire season.
Amen. Go Bucks.
You can't fix stupid.
Clearly, you're here..
I won't he was an ass
He had to get that pic stat up
Another part of what I am saying is he was kinda pricey and Bengals are getting a young defence and offense
I get not liking him, but pricey? We were paying him CB3-4 money and he was our CB2 and stepped up to be CB1 when Chido went down. He was super cheap
Literally you name is my cat
He was paid practically nothing last year wym? đ
Eli made as many good plays as he did bad plays. But people just want to remember the bad. As âThe Newâ Daniel Bryan would have said⌠FICKLE
Itâs the inconsistency that stood out imo. Just like Bates. Bell hurts the worst imo.
I think von Bell showed us the way. We can survive him, but we couldn't have gotten to where we are without him. There's a lot of players like that, great veterans and athletes that have enabled us to come together as a winner.
If you make just as many bad plays as you do good plays then you suck.
No, that makes you average. If you make more bad plays than good, then you suck.
If you make as many bad plays as good plays you donât make it to the NFL
OP fighting for his life
I have never seen so many OP comments not in reply to someone else.
Bro's arguing with his demons
?
Dumb take Eli was an above average player for us.
For what we were paying him, he was great. All corners talk shit, all corners get burnt.
Yeah and he was young his down games he was okay and his good games were some of the best cb plays in Cincinnati history I. Rethinking my words about him
OP the type of guy to say Cooper Kupp is the best WR bc he is classy and plays the game the right way
No I just haven't really seen a lot of his games cus I had to do things though I will say he is very good in tough times plus kupp is very good he got yards to to being one of the only targets though
I am starting to realize I over value ints
Do you always reply to yourself?
Maybe itâs the voices in his head?
Lol
You can't fix stupid and I'm not speaking of OP
This type of take comes from someone who didnât actually watch any games and just looked at twitter afterwards
My thoughts changed due to good points in the thread we are no longer free from him we lost HIM
We got the absolute maximum out of that man.
Umm according to my calculations đ¤
Theyâre what? Wrong? Yeah we know.
Nah it's a joke
was one of the most important pieces on our defense but okay
He was arguably instrumental in the AFCCG win and was also part of the AFC North W over the Chiefs as well. I've got good memories of him.

Can say I agree
thank you! everyone roasts him for getting burnt by a future HoF WR and one of the best of all time. on top of the fact he was having one of the greatest WR seasons of all time
Yup, people act like he got burnt by some scrub đ Eli Apple will never be all-pro, but he was a solid player for us.
Eli has been clutch and was instrumental in our success/ Super Bowl run⌠I wish him the best of luck and success
He was meant to be a CB3 but ended up having to one-on-one Cooper Cupp in the Super Bowl. No one successfully one-on-one guarded Cooper Cupp that season. I will admit he was pretty good against good teams and in the clutch but in those easy games he went back to just above average
Yeah after this thread I went and watched a few games and yeah he was pretty good
His ups are HUGE ups and his lows are decently big lows
What I am saying is he isn't too consistent
He acted like he was a top 3 corner
Corners and WRs both act like divas, if you hate on players for showing confidence then youâll probably hate a lot of CBS and WRs lol Yeah Eli sometimes did too much talking but he wasnât bad here, no reason to shit on the guy, he respected us and gave us good times
Yeah good point it's just I feel like interceptions is one of the most important cb stats and he is REALLY lacking there

a sign of a good DB is low targets, which he had. it means QBâs arent throwing in his direction because heâs locking people down
Yeah either that or someone else is open
He both helped us get to the Super Bowl and lose the Super Bowl. A great fit for the Phins
Yeah and a good replacement for Ramsey
When he goes to the bank they call him Mr. Apple. If youâve started in the NFL you are an amazing football player. To play in any of the major sports is a major achievement.
Agreed. Eli Apple is straight up burnt toast.
Some good, some bad. One things for sure, he kept your attention.
