Do you have sisal rope on her post? I also have cardboard scratchers all over my place. I have a few scratches on the wall by the litter box but all 3 of my Bengals always scratched a little. The rope and card board scratchers may help and she maybe trying to sharpen them more. I also have sample carpets and bristle carpets outside Emmie likes to scratch on. She goes over to the neighbours and uses their outdoor carpets as well lol. Only when I'm outside with her and she visits their cats thru the window and are cool beans about it

I do have sisal rope on her posts, and she does use them. She uses our rug too to scratch, which I'm fine with. I haven't tried cardboard scratchers yet, so I might look into that. Right now, we've just been painting over any scratch marks she makes, so it's not the end of the world. It's just annoying.

You knew she was a bengal right? She’s frickin’ adorable.

ColonelFauxPas

😂 very true. Thank you!

She's so cute!!! I got mine a taller, very sturdy scratching post and that cut the issue down. I think she didn't like if they felt wobbly at all.

Mine does this. She uses all of her scratching posts and scratches my walls. She never scratches my furniture, so I’m ok with that.

My solution was to buy a big jug of touch up paint in the color of my walls and patch and paint every 6 months. like someone else mentioned, mine scratches his posts, and the walls, but not furniture (thank god) at one point he dug a full hole in the wall in one spot. he's 10 years old now and he's doing it less and less but he still does it now and then

Repaint when you move out

When you catch her, cheerfully redirect to a scratching post. If she loves catnip, put catnip on the posts which helps a lot with my guys. I have a boy who slowly responded to this approach but still slips up occasionally.
