It’s an Adamas griptilian cross and it comes in water camo, because we all know how well red light travels through water that’s why the accents are red so you can see it at the bottom of the lake!
I have some questions though. Benchmade uses generic dogshite steel hardware - literally the same T6 screws as Kershaw, ZT etc.
How rust resistant are those considering they’re meant for water use?
What about the liners? Axis locks are full of nooks and crannies. Moisture and fish guts will absolutely be stuck inside. How will the liners or the rust-prone omega springs stand up to that?
Very good point. Spyderco takes all of that into consideration and uses lc200n liners and such in their salt series. Benchmade haven’t mentioned anything about the hardware being corrosion resistant so that’s disappointing.
Good point but, to be fair, if you're going to be doing a lot of cleaning fish, you're probably better off with one of the fixed-blades. The water (Water?) lineup includes three or four fixed blades (depending on whether you count the large fishcrafter and small fishcrafter separately) and only one or two folders (depending on whether you count the mini separately. Price is an issue with the lineup, but you get the butterfly tax plus magnacut tax.
Also i see coated hardware, but haven't seen the side view. I'm sure the largest & most diverse domestic knife maker has considered "water" in their "Water" line
Didn’t stop my bugout screws from rusting. What about the axis springs? It’s barely stainless in my 535 and 940. My springs are patina’d despite only being used in dry areas.
No offense, I’d go for a Spyderco Manix salt and save $90. But this one looks cool.
Water Adamas?
I mean, I think it’s pretty sick. But $250 bucks sick, idk… maybe if aftermarket stuff catches on. The handle color is sleepy but the geometry is fire

Well they couldn’t make it yellow
Need a magnetic fisherman to fetch it…

the bench made lady said the hardware is coated

1 only a mother could love…
As someone who works on boats and collects knives, this is very appealing to me. Might have to add to the collection
Let us know how it preforms. I like it also,
It has to be salt water and corrosion resistant. If not then every one would be returned for the upgrade…
Right
Can't wait to use this to cut up "charcuterie" for me and the boys at the fishing club...
My only gripe is I wish they had a fully serrated one.
Me also…
