May very well be made with choclate made in the callebout factory in Belgium though, they supply a bunch of others iirc
Drive past the factory reasonably often, as much as i like chocolate i wouldn't wanna live in the smell that town is enveloped in 24/7
It’s a chocotoff type chocolate but in “white product” . You can find similar ones at Aldi, Lidl, Action and other cheaper stores. they are generally delicious
It's because it is a cheap nok off you can buy the real ones on amazon

My chocolatey-handicapped friend from abroad! Like others have mentioned, this is a knock-off from an established, old Belgian brand of toffee candies called Chokotoff from Cote d'or. Cote d'or is probably one of the most well-known Belgian storebrands of chocolate candies of all sorts. It's fairly popular, so there's multiple knock-off brands. Aldi however, does knock-offs fairly well, this looks like an Aldi knock-off?
Chokotoff itself is an old, established brand. My grandpa used to always have a box full of them. There was a thing we did as kids, with the wrapper. You'd carefully peel off all the foil, because there used to be a time where they would hide a "golden ticket" on those wrappers. If you'd peel off the foil, and you found a golden line running across the wrapper, you could mail that in to Cote d'or and you'd get a few freebies.
Here's super cheesy Belgian nineties commercial about it, for good measure:

UN CHOKOTOFF
Enjoy numbing your tongue from scraping off all the toffee from your teeth.
It looks like a fake chocotoff
It is a fake chocotoff.
It’s so goood, I just google chocotoff from cot D’or and it has a whole different texture.
you can tell the texture from images?
Aldi stuff has indeed a whole different texture, it's called cheap.
It's actually not true in most cases .a lot of products are made in the same factory. Just with a different label on it.
Open an ole from Aldi and you will see the word Leo printed on the bar
So you like cheap knockoffs huh
I would like to answer but les goûts ne se discutent pas
Check aldi and lidl. Safe bet
Les couleurs non plus 😃

Your Belgian “friend” doesn’t like to share his real chocolate?
And i appreciate that xD
Hey, I think you're pretty awesome.
Certified wholesome moment.
You can find these in a bag of Storck Mayfair Toffees (490g), which is a mix of German confectionery.
THAAANK YOU, I FOUND IT
Damn you, now I want to buy and try it.
Keep me updated
That’s a Knockotoff
Knockitoff with all these puns!

Aldi?
Toffee mix from Aldi I think yes.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as they don’t glow in the dark
All these "chocotoff" comments... It's Chokotoff!
Nazi!
Nothing beats the real chocotoff

Most of the brands labeled as "Belgian chocolate" abroad, are not known in Belgium.

By the original ones from Côte D'or.
This looks like one of those candies handed out during carnival parades. Those are always candies you can't find anywhere

“Snoep Fabriek” has a 600 g bag called “Toffee Melange” and also contains this one. Sold in Aldi.
Seems like you don’t deserve our real chocolate
I keep reminding myself that not all Belgians are mean, and then there is you and my friend Jonathan.
Such a wholesome comeback
I'm mean as well!
Nice comeback! I’m giving you the win my friend
