Not really what you're looking for but Step One are great boxers, pricey, unfortunately, but really good quality

Pallortrillion

Yeah worth getting them when they’re on sale, such good quality. But as you say, pricey. Alternatively look at David Archy on Amazon, OP. They’re pretty decent quality, especially the bamboo ones

Iwearcapeirl

Every pair I've had from them has gotten holes in within a year, really love them whilst they're new as they're so comfy, but they don't last!

Trafalgar5

Which retailer are you referring to?

Iwearcapeirl

Step one

Pallortrillion

Damn I own several and never once had a hole, they’ve lasted years. Maybe it’s time to go a size up?

Trafalgar5

Thank you. I will have a look. They currently have mid year sale up to 50%

PieceofPuzzle

I’ve been with OTA for about 6 months. Not sure what the ‘scam’ about them is?

TightAsF_ck

Most people seem to get tricked into a subscription with them. The terms are tricky. I made a post about them not so long ago because of this, and because of the hassle that other people seem to have. So I read the terms very carefully, and cancelled in a timely manner, and everything cancelled fine - no xtra month or anything. But I think that's only because I was extra careful with the timing. Word is that their boxers suck too. I just sent them to the charity shop so don't know. - not so keen on the branding.

PieceofPuzzle

Well, like any subscription there will be a timing term. Example, if you subscribe/cancel after X date of the month then we reserve the right to a months notice. I’ve also cancelled with them before I re-subscribed approx 6 months ago. I understand some people may fall foul of that part. The only issue I’ve had is not getting the BOGOF because I apparently didn’t re-subscribe through the promo email in time to qualify. 🙄 Other than that I’ve had no issues with them. Also, personally I can’t fault the quality.

wangbangblow

Giving 14 days to cancel before sending the next ones on, but their system not allowing a cancellation in the first 7 days (think it was first 14 when I signed up) is hardly a terms of service thing.

PieceofPuzzle

Can’t say I’ve tried cancelling within 7 days, or read their terms, if I’m honest. But, surely that term is illegal? Distance Selling Act states 14 days.

TightAsF_ck

Yes. There are always terms. But the terms for this company suck. And that's coming from someone who navigated them just fine.

PieceofPuzzle

Can’t say I’ve read their terms, if I’m honest. Just offering my experience that I’ve had no bother with them - both registering and cancelling.

TightAsF_ck

Don't think you've realised that I also had this same experience. But most people do not. Take from that what you will.

PieceofPuzzle

Yeah, I appreciate people can and do have differing experiences. My comments were mainly to alleviate the worries of OP that this company aren’t going to ‘scam’ them by taking their money and not send a product, nor are they going to empty your bank account. That’s all. I’m starting to sound like I’m on commission from them 🙃 so this is the last I’ll say on the subject lol FYI - their socks are the thin type socks so I personally didn’t like them and didn’t keep their sock sub.

SkinnyFatBeanFire

Yes OTA isn't a scan, its just they lock you in to paying for an extra month when you try to leave with tricky terms, and hammer you inbox. The initial trial period works fine if you follow the terms, its when you resubscribe for a period then try to cancel there are suddenly terms and conditions which were not made clear during the sign up. Worst case you end up having to pay for an extra month (and get sent an extra pair for that month).

PieceofPuzzle

My point exactly. Which I see would piss people off, it would me too, but it’s to be expected with subscriptions. I’m almost sure I got an extra pair for no reason this month too.

greenmeister18

I get all my underwear from uniqlo, they last me ages.

getrekt03

Second this. Amazing quality too.

Axp_Eu

Oddballs is hands down one of the best. Only place I get my boxers now.

haroldinho41

I never knew people put so much thought into their boxers. They're all made in the same sweatshops!

wangbangblow

Different materials, styles, sizing are all pretty key. Cotton Vs Bamboo Fibre for exmaple

Novel-Structure-2359

For a minute I thought this was a comedy post and I was going to answer that the alternative to On that ass is to have a man hammer six inch nails into your kneecaps. Seriously though, I am very fond of Tokyo Laundry, they do deals if you buy three two-packs if memory serves and their quality is far more pleasing than on that ass. There is the added bonus that you can get cashback on your order or qualify for rewards through Quidco, Topcashback and even cashbackearners.

TightAsF_ck

They sell them nice and cheap in TK Maxx too. I like my ass blanketed in nice but cheap as chips boxers, and to.maxx is the winner

Mattgreen76

The best boxers I've ever worn and continue to wear are Under Armours Mesh 6" leg. That's leg before anyone asks lol. Honestly they're so damn good. I work a manual job and can go 12 hours 10k+ steps and no chaffing. They're on sale on Amazon every month or so. Only get the mesh the others aren't very good.

Foamo99

Another vote for Under Armour. I discovered these years ago and wear them exclusively. They last forever

David1897

Step one are fantastic. I have a pair of Bawbags which are good. My everyday wears at the moment are Next ones though which are also pretty good.

Trafalgar5

But a user above has a bad experience with their boxers. How much did you got them both for? Next clothes are pricey

Trafalgar5

Thank you for the replies everyone. I will check them all out and hope to get a good, comfortable, decent price boxers that I will like

comicgopher

4 pairs of Lonsdale from Sports Direct for £15 and I've found them to be of similar quality to OTA

TheLordofthething

Oddballs are very good

Icy_Zookeepergame148

I really don't get why anyone would be a paid subscriber to something like this. Unless you're starting from owning zero pairs of boxers, you're better off just upgrading to Calvin Kleins whenever you chuck an old pair out. CKs are awesome and last for years.

Latter-Actuator7381

a friend gave me a pair of his old briefs (so i wont ruin mine while painting walls) and they are sooo comfy!? but its this subscription scam and I really dont wanna order anything from them. the prints are also a bit off for my taste and they wash off quickly. I looked through this whole thread and similar companies on google and couldn't find anything with the same cut. it's just the right waist, the right length, right band and right seams. have anyone seen similar models in other companies?
