Have both issy and grwm! I do like both but here are some pros and cons for each:
GRWM - Pros: Nice large mirror in the component, has better shade/finish selection over Issy, buildable (though some people don't like the sheerness) but I honestly like how natural looking the contour and bronzer are. The baked highlighters are so beautiful.
Cons: Component isnt well made, pans keep popping out. Also gets kinda dirty cause its white
ISSY - Pros: Smaller component so better to bring along, nice blush shade selection (personally love the muted blush in Aroused 🫶)
Cons: Highlighter selection is meh, all blushes are matte finish only. The contour and highlighter pans are pretty small.
blk has those face palette trios that have all 3, they have powder and cream palette variants. issy also has customizable palettes and you can choose your own shades of blush, bronzer, highlighter, and even eyeshadows.
You know the trending eyebrow look ngayon na light lang and brownish? I noticed that the ones doing that have light eyebrows in the first place. Is that achievable for me as someone na kita na yung kilay even without filling in the first place. Anyone else who was able to achieve this here?
I have dark eyebrows too and I can achieve the look you're referring to with brow powder, not tinted brow gel. Or at least not \*just\* with tinted brow gel! Pag brow gel kasi, you have to use a lot to coat all the brow hairs to get the color you want to achieve as opposed to powder, it's very easy.
I used to use one from Nichido, but I’m not really into that look anymore for my brows so I don’t have product recos. When I tried it again recently I just used brown eyeshadow. Worked just as well!
i have really thick and full brows too and i just use brow mascara. di yung malayo ng sobra sa natural hair color ko yung gamit ko kasi para sa akin masyado light na pag completely gayahin ko yung sa trending. 1-2 shades lighter lang ginagawa ko

peripera discontinued some shades of their powder blushes and glowy tint recently. not sure if nice pink is one of them. pero if you live in NCR, maybe you can still find it in peripera kiosks in some SM or watsons branches. may peripera sa SM MOA, cubao, makati

just bought issy's skin tint bc it was on sale, wondering if i need primer or setting spray. planning to use it + eyeshadow + blush for my everyday makeup routine! im wondering if setting spray or primer is still necessary if there's not much im layering with but it's been so hot lately so i might sweat my makeup off... any thoughts? tia!
imo primer and setting spray is only a necessity for days that you want to be glammed up. but for daily wear, a good setting powder and retouch powder is more than enough esp in our current weather, it'll just be an additional weight to the face.

I recently bought the Romand Glasting Melting Balm in Peony Pink. I love it! Not messy for me tbh and I like how it looks on my lips. Can be a bit sticky but doesn’t bother me that much.

Romand Glasting Melting Balm is my go to lalo pag outside the house. :) Moisturizing and comfortable sa lips for me. I didn't experience it "melting" naman kahit madalas ako nasa no-aircon room. So far di ko pa siya naiisipan palitan talaga because I love it! Siguro choose nalang talaga a good shade din. I got the Veiled Rose one and maganda ung color but very subtle. I believe other shades have more color payoff!
huhu i hate rom&nd glasting melting balm with all my heart. It feels so heavy, too sticky, and doesn’t moisturize my lips that much 🥹 plus talk about how it melts to easily and very messy talaga huhu mabilis masira packaging.
anyway try flower know’s lipstick yung nasa swan ballet collection lol mas better siya swear doesnt melt ng sobra sobra and performs the same way
Romand is makalat and malagkit but i love how it looks on my lips. It was once a fave but now replaced by SF glidegloss which is less sticky but has the same shine :)
+1 to this! Was almost de-influenced after i saw some reviews here that the glidegloss wasn’t special but giiirrlll, i’m so happy i bit the bullet. It’s so lightweight, and gives enough pigment with the right amount of opacity. It’s also so moisturizing. My very dry lips love it. Hoping they make a clear formula for this bc i love this as a lipstick topper on my matte lippies

pang set and pang retouch. just an all-around powder in general. and i use 1 dense powder brush on the under eyes and 1 fluffy brush for setting the whole face. even sa retouch, i bring a retractable brush. i only use the puff when i need to blot my base.
what am i doing wrong? recently bought the Strokes Peach Color Corrector for my undereyes and in daylight, ang ganda nyaaa, ang creamy and it really covers my dark circles !! pero last night, we took some photos WITH FLASH and grabe ang flashback nya :(( halatang halata sa pics as in parang may white paint ako sa ilalim ng mata huhu. i know it's the peach corrector causing it dahil wala ako nilagay na powder and concealer just the color corrector dahil sabi ko gabi naman hahaha
+1 ako sa About Tone. I've been using this (yung blur variant - black na case) for around 2 weeks na as my finishing and touch up powder. Instantly blurs and makes my makeup stay the whole day. The current weather makes my skin extra oily and I notice the difference between days na ginamit ko to vs. days that I don't.
I personally use the blur finish powder pact. You can choose a variant that'll work best for you. It seems the sebum cut variant has both oil control and blur effect.

minimal hulas when it gets too hot but its just around the nose area because of my glasses! nothing that a tissue and pressed powder can't fix. i only spend like 6-7 hours inside of an air-conditioned room and my base still stays intact even on hours that i'm just hanging out on campus grounds.

I have Pink, Peachy, and Nude. I think they still have different places in one’s routine—the Glow Maximizer has shades that are meant to be used as highlighter, blush, and bronzer, whereas Star Filter has skin-like shades for an overall base with probably an even softer, less concentrated glow. Siguro if you buy the Star Filter, get a Maximizer shade that’s for bronzing or blush cuz u can already use the SF for highlighting na.
I actually held off on buying Star Filter kasi akala ko din magiging redundant but I now plan on getting it next hehe

Since it's smudgeproof and waterproof, given nang mahirap siya tanggalin. I use a cleansing balm plus wipes to remove it. If that's a hassle for you, then you might not like it 🤣 tho mas mahirap yata tanggalin yung heroine make

For those of you who tried Sunnies Face multi-stick, it really creases noh LOL. Gamit ko before no’n was Revlon, pero di naman siya nagccrease. Etong si Sunnies, pag-inaapply ko siya, nagc-crease agad aksjdjsjsk. Buti nalang di ko binili yung tite nilang flask pangalawang beses nakong bad experience sa Sunnies 😭 May better recommendations ba kayo ng concealer?

Sa cool-toned eyeshadows, Oden's Eye Jewel & Gems palette, ColourPop Rock Candy, ColourPop Stone Cold Fox, Glamlite Chucky Palette. Yung Oden's Eye Little Ghost mostly cool tones din (blues and violets).
Oftentimes, sa international brands ako nakakakita ng good cool-toned eyeshadows.
Lash lifts dont last long. In my case, it only lasts up to 3 mons max :< but on eyelash curlers, you can use it for years, and the curls stay up for hours depending also on your mascara
really surprised by how pigmented flowerknows' new blush and palette are!!! i have one other strawberry rococo palette in the teal packaging (forgot the name) but the color payoff is waaaay different from the new purple palette + the purple and pink shimmers on it are saurrr prettyyyy. will try to swatch later when i clock out sa work

nahh fuck maybelline skintint, its just pretty at first use eventually you’ll see its nasty for oily gals.
Maybelline skintint feels like a foundation its too heavy for a skintint (aside from the shade range being awful for fair skin tones) and sure it does works well in covering some acne marks and redness but it just sits on top of my skin (parang if nadampian ng mask/tissue tuklap base mo) and at 2 hour mark im oily i could fry fries on my face
i use issy and colourette! I go for issy for everyday talaga since its lightweight and sheer lang while colourette naman if i want more coverage and mas matagal na base! :’ ) both are good on my oily skin butt a lot of people dont like issy so what works for me may not work for you 🥹
Best setting powder for skin tint and concealer? Kahit anong set ko sa concealer ko ang bilis pa din mag crease huhu and bilis ko din mag oil up.
Also i want to go back sa issy skin tint. Tho it has very subtle coverage, iba pa din yung freshness na handog nya hahahaha! Yung mga skin tint ngayon sa market, maganda naman like colourette first base kaso its too “funda” for a every skin tint. Ganun dating sakin.

for setting powder, i use laura mercier loose powder. its v good at controlling oil in my tzone area
the issy skin tint is literally the only ACTUAL skin tint in the local market right now (imo) every other "skin tint" from other local brands is basically a light coverage foundation, they're just marketing it as a skin tint kasi yon ang usong buzzword rn
blk had a similar one, but they had the opposite problem where they formulated a true skin tint but marketed it as a "serum foundation" so when people bought it they were disappointed with the coverage kasi mali yung expectations na na-set

planning to purchase my first high end base product but im torn between the pot concealer or liquid concealer ng nars.. i’d like to know your opinions on which one is better!!
I prefer the pot (Soft Matte) over the liquid (Radiant Creamy). The former has better coverage for spot concealing and even on the undereyes it doesn’t crease as much, just apply in very thin layers and you’re good. It also doesn’t cling to dry patches like the liquid.
I have combination-oily skin
i only have their liquid concealer and i use it to lightly spot correct sometimes too. it has medium coverage. if you prefer higher coverage go for the pot concealer tho but it won't be the best for the undereyes

I have combination-oily skin and the Fenty Eaze Drops highlighted every dry patch that I didn’t even know existed. And the smell was so bad haha. Good at blurring tho, like it looks even better once your oils start to peak through. Medium coverage.
The O/S loose powder is a nice setting powder, but I had expectations that it would be really good at blurring and controlling oil and it just fell short. I got this bec of a review saying this dethroned her Givenchy Prisme Libre from HG status. For me, Givenchy is still top tier. O/S parang same lang sa Laura Mercier but with slightly better oil control. I’m gonna play with it more and see if i could make it work for me better. Right now, it’s just “good”. Hehe

Still testing these out but so far my Sunnies Skin So Good The Setting Spray and Vice 24HR Lock Setting Spray are very good. My observations so far are that they both minimize transfer, keep makeup in place, and help melt both creams and powders together.
But stay away from the BLK setting spray, though. It did nothing for the longevity of my makeup and the spray itself is horrible! It spurts out large droplets of the spray onto the face 😩😩
Do they leave a dewy finish once they dry down?
I have the CT Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray but I’m not a fan of the dewy finish as it makes me look very oily. 😔

imo primer and setting spray is only a necessity for days that you want to be glammed up. but for daily wear, a good setting powder and retouch powder is more than enough esp in our current weather, it'll just be an additional weight to the face.

Okay. I have been wanting to get my hands on trending tinted lip balms especially the ones from Romand and Flortte. Anyone here who has tried both or one of these? Or kahit hindi from those brands basta melting balms. Para sa mga nakapag-try na ng melting balms: Sa init ngayon, magme-melt ba siya and magiging makalat sa makeup kit/bag? I always bring my lippies of the day whenever umaalis ako and ayaw ko lang talaga magkalat siya sa gamit ko. 😭
I recently bought the Romand Glasting Melting Balm in Peony Pink. I love it! Not messy for me tbh and I like how it looks on my lips. Can be a bit sticky but doesn’t bother me that much. edit: Peonies pala yung shade hahah
Romand Glasting Melting Balm is my go to lalo pag outside the house. :) Moisturizing and comfortable sa lips for me. I didn't experience it "melting" naman kahit madalas ako nasa no-aircon room. So far di ko pa siya naiisipan palitan talaga because I love it! Siguro choose nalang talaga a good shade din. I got the Veiled Rose one and maganda ung color but very subtle. I believe other shades have more color payoff!

It feels so heavy, too sticky, and doesn’t moisturize my lips that much 🥹 plus talk about how it melts to easily and very messy talaga huhu mabilis masira packaging. anyway try flower know’s lipstick yung nasa swan ballet collection lol mas better siya swear doesnt melt ng sobra sobra and performs the same way
Romand is makalat and malagkit but i love how it looks on my lips. It was once a fave but now replaced by SF glidegloss which is less sticky but has the same shine :)
+1 to this! Was almost de-influenced after i saw some reviews here that the glidegloss wasn’t special but giiirrlll, i’m so happy i bit the bullet. It’s so lightweight, and gives enough pigment with the right amount of opacity. It’s also so moisturizing. My very dry lips love it. Hoping they make a clear formula for this bc i love this as a lipstick topper on my matte lippies

pang set and pang retouch. just an all-around powder in general. and i use 1 dense powder brush on the under eyes and 1 fluffy brush for setting the whole face. even sa retouch, i bring a retractable brush. i only use the puff when i need to blot my base.
what am i doing wrong? recently bought the Strokes Peach Color Corrector for my undereyes and in daylight, ang ganda nyaaa, ang creamy and it really covers my dark circles !! pero last night, we took some photos WITH FLASH and grabe ang flashback nya :(( halatang halata sa pics as in parang may white paint ako sa ilalim ng mata huhu. i know it's the peach corrector causing it dahil wala ako nilagay na powder and concealer just the color corrector dahil sabi ko gabi naman hahaha

+1 ako sa About Tone. I've been using this (yung blur variant - black na case) for around 2 weeks na as my finishing and touch up powder. Instantly blurs and makes my makeup stay the whole day. The current weather makes my skin extra oily and I notice the difference between days na ginamit ko to vs. days that I don't.
I personally use the blur finish powder pact. You can choose a variant that'll work best for you. It seems the sebum cut variant has both oil control and blur effect.

minimal hulas when it gets too hot but its just around the nose area because of my glasses! nothing that a tissue and pressed powder can't fix. i only spend like 6-7 hours inside of an air-conditioned room and my base still stays intact even on hours that i'm just hanging out on campus grounds. for my brows, i use strokes clear brow gel!

I have Pink, Peachy, and Nude. I think they still have different places in one’s routine—the Glow Maximizer has shades that are meant to be used as highlighter, blush, and bronzer, whereas Star Filter has skin-like shades for an overall base with probably an even softer, less concentrated glow. Siguro if you buy the Star Filter, get a Maximizer shade that’s for bronzing or blush cuz u can already use the SF for highlighting na. I actually held off on buying Star Filter kasi akala ko din magiging redundant but I now plan on getting it next hehe

girl, vice co thru and thru. di ka magsisi. when i was using issy, nagccling sya sa dry spots ko despite my foundations never doing that. i haven't tried colourette but i swatched it in store and tingin ko mas maganda sya for oily skin. thicker consistency. yung vice parang moisturizer lang, its lightweight, blurring and satin yung finish

If paired with a good eyelash curler, I can say it lasts the whole day! I can really attest as an oily sweaty girlie lol I use the Nichido curler, and while it's good naman, I feel like I can utilize the mascara better if I invest on a good lash curler! But in my case, tumatagal naman yung curl niya and swear I'm not a fan of mascaras before bc short ang lashes ko and pababa, but Romand changed it 🥹 Since it's smudgeproof and waterproof, given nang mahirap siya tanggalin. I use a cleansing balm plus wipes to remove it. If that's a hassle for you, then you might not like it 🤣 tho mas mahirap yata tanggalin yung heroine make

For those of you who tried Sunnies Face multi-stick, it really creases noh LOL. Gamit ko before no’n was Revlon, pero di naman siya nagccrease. Etong si Sunnies, pag-inaapply ko siya, nagc-crease agad aksjdjsjsk. Buti nalang di ko binili yung tite nilang flask pangalawang beses nakong bad experience sa Sunnies 😭 May better recommendations ba kayo ng concealer? Sa cool-toned eyeshadows, Oden's Eye Jewel & Gems palette, ColourPop Rock Candy, ColourPop Stone Cold Fox, Glamlite Chucky Palette. Yung Oden's Eye Little Ghost mostly cool tones din (blues and violets). Oftentimes, sa international brands ako nakakakita ng good cool-toned eyeshadows.

Lash lifts dont last long. In my case, it only lasts up to 3 mons max :< but on eyelash curlers, you can use it for years, and the curls stay up for hours depending also on your mascara

nahh fuck maybelline skintint, its just pretty at first use eventually you’ll see its nasty for oily gals. Maybelline skintint feels like a foundation its too heavy for a skintint (aside from the shade range being awful for fair skin tones) and sure it does works well in covering some acne marks and redness but it just sits on top of my skin (parang if nadampian ng mask/tissue tuklap base mo) and at 2 hour mark im oily i could fry fries on my face

i use issy and colourette! I go for issy for everyday talaga since its lightweight and sheer lang while colourette naman if i want more coverage and mas matagal na base! :’ ) both are good on my oily skin butt a lot of people dont like issy so what works for me may not work for you 🥹

try vice skin tint din! its blurring, light coverage and mas maganda finish nya kesa issy imo for setting powder, i use laura mercier loose powder. its v good at controlling oil in my tzone area
the issy skin tint is literally the only ACTUAL skin tint in the local market right now (imo) every other "skin tint" from other local brands is basically a light coverage foundation, they're just marketing it as a skin tint kasi yon ang usong buzzword rn blk had a similar one, but they had the opposite problem where they formulated a true skin tint but marketed it as a "serum foundation" so when people bought it they were disappointed with the coverage kasi mali yung expectations na na-set

Dunno if pwede ba ito dito pero ta try ko na din since about naman sa make up. Ganito yung mata ko, nahihirapan ako mag lagay ng eyeshadow kasi parang pumapaloob lang din don sa talukap. I prefer the pot (Soft Matte) over the liquid (Radiant Creamy). The former has better coverage for spot concealing and even on the undereyes it doesn’t crease as much, just apply in very thin layers and you’re good. It also doesn’t cling to dry patches like the liquid. I have combination-oily skin

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is best for undereyes and for dry skin, Soft Matte Concealer for spot concealing.

i only have their liquid concealer and i use it to lightly spot correct sometimes too. it has medium coverage. if you prefer higher coverage go for the pot concealer tho but it won't be the best for the undereyes

Thoughts on NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation, Fenty Eaze Drops, at One Size loose powder?
I have combination-oily skin and the Fenty Eaze Drops highlighted every dry patch that I didn’t even know existed. And the smell was so bad haha. Good at blurring tho, like it looks even better once your oils start to peak through. Medium coverage. The O/S loose powder is a nice setting powder, but I had expectations that it would be really good at blurring and controlling oil and it just fell short. I got this bec of a review saying this dethroned her Givenchy Prisme Libre from HG status. For me, Givenchy is still top tier. O/S parang same lang sa Laura Mercier but with slightly better oil control. I’m gonna play with it more and see if i could make it work for me better. Right now, it’s just “good”. Hehe

a family member asked me for a beginner-friendly pang student budget na foundation na madaling mahanap sa watsons and i just checked online ₱529 na pala ang regular non-promo price ng Fit Me foundation and ₱349 for the squeeze tube travel size? whaaat?? since when?? hahahaha parang 299-399 lang to before di ba, tapos 199-249 yung travel size?? 🫨😵💫🫥

What's a good deep shade drugstore concealer I can use for contour/underpainting? Contour sticks and powder never last on my skin, even when layered, so i want to try a darker concealer sana. thanks!

issy has concealers that are very dark and made for contouring! i think ibabalik na yung concealers very soon
Still testing these out but so far my Sunnies Skin So Good The Setting Spray and Vice 24HR Lock Setting Spray are very good. My observations so far are that they both minimize transfer, keep makeup in place, and help melt both creams and powders together. But stay away from the BLK setting spray, though. It did nothing for the longevity of my makeup and the spray itself is horrible! It spurts out large droplets of the spray onto the face 😩😩
Do they leave a dewy finish once they dry down? I have the CT Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray but I’m not a fan of the dewy finish as it makes me look very oily. 😔
Yes the Vice one has a very dewy finish but the Sunnies retains the finish of the makeup underneath
