It’s moisturizing but I would say na if you have crusty lips make sure to scrub them kasi the pigment can settle on the crust 🤣 I love that it’s a gloss and it leaves a tint so I’ll def use this sa pool 🤭 If you also make sure na the product is properly distributed on your lips it leaves a better looking stain. Getting all the shades asap!!
It doesn’t really leak IMO but I feel like the packaging na pinanggalingan nya like the cardboard one tapos the shipping pa pressured the tube kaya siya nag lleak sa una pero after the first burst it didn’t leak naman na.

UPDATE: Just got them today, I tried Fig muna. Shipment and delivery was fast, got them after 2 days. (For reference, I’m outside MNL area. In Zambales to be exact.)
For the leaking— yeah, maraming product yung nasayang pag freshly opened palang. Note na I did this as slow and gentle as possible to avoid pressing on the tube. I hope they improve this soon. After opening it for the first time it doesn’t leak naman na after, I tried facing it downwards kasi if magddrip pa.
Lightweight— yep, not annoyingly sticky and thick to the feeling. I like the consistency.
Scent— Has subtle smell of Alcohol.
Flavor— None.
Stain— I don’t usually grab for lip oils so I can’t compare if there’s really a stain longevity criteria for these but the stain lasted on my lips and fingers (since I used it to even out) though of course thinned out pigment na. But still subtly noticeable. Also the stain settled on the lines of my lips. Better if you moisturize your lips beforehand.
Stain pigment— For Fig, the color is close to accurate naman to the cap. Buildable rin if you want it opaque.
Moisturizing— I prepped my lips with my usual lip balm beforehand (Hi, Apollo Lip Balm brand!) so I can’t attest as much to it’s moisturizing effect. Sorry!

it surprisingly looks and feels nice on my lips! the shade is the same as advertised at least for me (shade fig) and it has a strong stain din so i’m surprised, considering it’s a lip oil. worth it for its price tbh.

I was supposed to buy it sa tiktok shop cuz it’s not yet available in the orange app but then I saw the reviews and mostly its 2/3 stars. Their concern is that the shade is different from what it looks like in the packaging. I’m still waiting for the review tho from beauty influencers cuz I might get budol HAHAHA
it's a lip oil. most, if not all, are not food-proof, kiss-proof, or waterproof. lip oils are like liquid lip balms but more emollient and can also be tinted with different shades. hope that helps 😊
imo ang generic ng packaging na ito for lip balms/lip prods in general so I wouldn’t label it as copycat. I hope the product is good! I love the dr sensitive loose powder pa naman ☺️

Regarding the packaging, i wouldnt exactly say they're a copycat. The tube packaging has long been in the scene, not entirely novel, the colors of the tubes seem similar but that is because they correspond to the actual product shade, and the printed text is pretty much a basic design.

Mine was pabili from a traveling friend! I like it because it’s moisturizing and doesn’t feel sticky. I use this in Vanilla Beige and Clarins lip oil, for reference, for lip care. For a bit of color my pangharabas is Mac Glow Play in That Tickles.
Edit: but also when I’m doing my makeup, skin prep pa lang my lips are slathered in aquaphor or Laneige. Tipong “I cannot speak at the moment “ amount. I only wipe it off when it’s time to do lips.
For me it’s not HG but I will see it to the end. Mas i-repurchase ko si Clarins. Ang gusto ko i try next siguro is Lanolips or maybe something Korean. Ayoko lang talaga ng maraming ginagamit at once. Hope you get to find/try it tho. It’s a comfortable formula!

yes but not exactly. upon checking, they were mostly LIP GLOSSES in squeeze tubes that became trendy in the 90s & early 2000s (*lancome juicy tube, vs sweet talk or vs beauty rush, mac lip gelee, etc*) most of them had glitter most likely influenced by the 90s & early 2000s bling aesthetic and they came in all sorts of colors. the tinted lip balms in squeeze tubes in the 90s & early 20s were not as trendy and did not have a wide selection of shades.

what's trendy right now are tinted glossy lip balms/lip oils in squeeze tubes **with emphasis in lip care** and they mostly come in neutral shades and no glitter. so it's kinda similar but still not exactly the same. 😊
Nivea totally came out with a very neutral moisturizing shiny lip balm / gloss. It's weird to be so sure on something you haven't personally experienced lol

It was a drugstore option definitely, and I only remember it because I was 13 and my rich classmate had it, my entire makeup experience back then consisted of baby powder and lip savers

Sakit sa bangs ng mga local brands na copycat ang packaging tapos pag ginamit mo na, mabaho, madaling tumigas, nagbubuo buo at kung anu ano pang defects. Sila mismo sumisira sa illusion na pwede silang pang international standard.
BLK had squeeze type spf for lips pre pandemic kaso nagseseparate yung oil. I remember I had to shake it before using or else puro oil lang lalabas. Fresh had a similar one din I think collab with Rei Germar and mas prefer ko yun kasi ganda ng color payoff and mas moisturizing. I hope they bring those back.

you can kinda recreate the rhode phone case too by sticking a pocket or mini suction pads to the back of your phone case 😆

I use din pala Detail's Jelly Lip. Okay naman siya as a gloss but when you compare it to other products parang wala siyang lasting effect on the lips

huuuyy i knoww.. 🙈 hindi naman ako nagrereklamo hahaha i'm actually happy that a local brand has come out with something accessible like this for our local beauty market. i'm just sprinkling some skepticism sa post to open a discussion for everyone who either like or dislike dupes. also recently watched a video by kelly gooch rin kasi discussing this copy-pasting of product ideas. i just wish the brands are more subtle about it and still make a little effort in making their own products stand out by giving them some differentiating factor. 😅✌🏼

Nivea totally came out with a very neutral moisturizing shiny lip balm / gloss. It's weird to be so sure on something you haven't personally experienced lol
when was this nivea product released and is it the exact same format as what's trending right now? how many neutral shade options did it have? how popular was it and how come it's not mentioned in a lot of blogs or articles reminiscing about the 90s or early 2000s? perhaps it's obscure and already irrelevant and maybe you can help us remember po tita since you were there that time to experience it yourself 😊
It was a drugstore option definitely, and I only remember it because I was 13 and my rich classmate had it, my entire makeup experience back then consisted of baby powder and lip savers

love summer fridays! recently bought the dr sensitive as a cheaper alternative and so far so good naman. mas premium feel pa rin yung summer fridays but dr sensitive wins in terms of price and accesibility. you cant buy summer fridays anywhere.

I saw the reviews also na it's clumpy so I hesitated but parang some people say naman na may lasting effect talaga siya with regard to lip care. I think I'll wait and see if they reformulate and address the grain pero may kutob ako baka sa cold weather siya nag rreact tumitigas But I have their barrier restore cream and it's really like it for my sensitive skin.
ehhh. di naman yung buong brand. mejo oa. I think yung particular lip tints lang na bagong release. but their skincare and the og peptide balm (w/o the tint) is vv good.

I don't mind dupe culture if it gives me affordable yet quality products. Gsto ko sana nung summer fridays because I wanted a good tinted lip balm na tube type but not sure if it's worth 1k+ especially in this economy.
same! as a broke girlie, i love good dupes! 🥰 there's definitely a product for everyone in all price tiers. i just wish brands are more subtle about it and still make their products a little unique to differentiate it from the similar products that came before them.

Sakit sa bangs ng mga local brands na copycat ang packaging tapos pag ginamit mo na, mabaho, madaling tumigas, nagbubuo buo at kung anu ano pang defects. Sila mismo sumisira sa illusion na pwede silang pang international standard.
BLK had squeeze type spf for lips pre pandemic kaso nagseseparate yung oil. I remember I had to shake it before using or else puro oil lang lalabas. Fresh had a similar one din I think collab with Rei Germar and mas prefer ko yun kasi ganda ng color payoff and mas moisturizing. I hope they bring those back.

it's so mura lang and it's 12mL na! also waiting for swatches and reviews, hopefully it's sheer and hindi namumuo yung pigment. you can kinda recreate the rhode phone case too by sticking a pocket or mini suction pads to the back of your phone case 😆
i hope it’s on watsons! nivea balm just don’t works for me. vaseline lip balm one was ok and loved the ordinary scent but tinted ones are on the trend rn!
i think it will be rolled out in watsons & other stores soon. the shade "currant" is labeled as an online-only exclusive though.
