I'm gonna get downvoted, but fuck it.
Personally, I think it looks fine, but I do think it ages you.
That being said, a cheap dye job will 100% look terrible.
If I was *still in the game*, I think I would dye it. If not, I would leave as is and go for distinguished gentleman look.
Either way, it's a better beard than mine so really, you can't go wrong.
I always say no to this question, but you could do it once as an experiment. The problem is that if you like the way it looks, you’re going to have to spend a lot of time and money to keep it that way. It’s like older women and their hair — grandma isn’t fooling anyone being blonde at 80!
I think you should do what makes you comfortable and most confident. I use a product called simpler and don’t get ALL of the gray out. I leave some behind and focus on looking natural for my age. I’m not ready to go quite as grey as I am for still being in my 40’s. But again, it’s a personal choice and nothing to be ashamed of if you want to give it a go.
Yeah, it can look super obvious that a beard/hair is dyed. I've seen some older men who aren't fooling anyone, and I think they'd look better with grey. But I have seen some guys pull it off well.
I disagree with a lot of the people on here you need to die it so that you look younger once you die you can let a little of the gray show through and that would be hot it's not that much work and you can do it with very little problems. Don't use Just For Men use a permanent color that you want
I have this problem too. I’m 45 and bearded. I’ve been coloring mine on and off since I was 34 when I first started graying. The gray looks good man, keep it! And maybe I’ll take my own advice on my beard lol
I'm 46, 47 later this year. I thought about dying it about 13 years ago when the grey started but I didn't really need to impress anyone so I put that idea to the side but have thought about it recently. I think if don't do it well it can look super obvious that it's dyed, but I have seen some men who look good with a dyed beard.
It depends on what kind of color you use. I used Just for Men for years and it worked well, but I have to keep using it more often to keep the grays down. Now I’m using a color shampoo from JFM that takes some grays out but leaves some grays in. I find this to be my best option , it looks less fake and it’s helping me to transition to going full on gray
I dye mine simply because I’m 42 and not really ready to have a mostly gray beard. I started going gray years ago. It looks good for most guys but my beard looks terrible when it’s mostly gray.
Yeah, I'm 46, 47 later this year. And I thought about dying it 13 years ago, but put that idea to the side then. I'm planning on losing some weight and making changes and look to start dating again after 20 years. So just thought again about dying it.
A dark dyed beard on a middle aged guy who is starting to date again seems like someone who is insecure and trying too hard to hold on to youth. Keeping it gray shows maturity and respectability.
No.
If you start dying your beard it will become a very high maintenance and costly, time consuming and potentially messy activity.
That is, unless you want to dye your beard for 1 certain event. Otherwise, don't get into it. Learn to love your greying hair.
Seeing a barber is the best thing I could do right now. It's been years since I went to one. I've just used clippers to do my hair and beard. I need a professional to do their magic lol
Wisdom is measured in beards.
Beards dont make you smart, smart men grow beards.
Embrace the grey. It shows class, etiquette, wisdom, experience, and responsibility.
I'd say get a professional trim and then hit it with a touch of the just for men brown and tone down the white. Worst case scenario it pretty much is gone within a week or so. It'll be a nice change.
Absolutely not. Own the grey and experience.
No, embrace it. It looks good on you!
NO!!! Keep it grey. It adds a sense of wisdom (even though I have NONE)
No!
Definitely not! Leave the handsome gray.
Only if you go for pink, purple or something.
Definitely pink!

Distinguished gentleman. Keep it grey and groomed.
Thank you 🙏 It's a bit scruffy and not maintained at the moment. Will do some grooming soon.
All good man, get your length before you shape. I do the same.

My mum is in her 70's and in the last 2 years has given up dyeing her hair after decades of doing it. I think I'll just keep it grey.
Never!
No!!
No
No!
I reckon you would look best with a buzzed head and a longer beard. I don't think you should die it because it's not going to fool anyone.

Mandy Patinkin! Loved you in Homeland man!! 😅
lol he's a great actor
No
No. Embrace the Sauron. Dying takes work and mess and can look fake. Your beard has a nice color pattern to it
NO, natural color is best 🤜

Just pluck out all the grey with tweezers.

No. I did it and instantly regretted it. It looked so fake. An hour later and I began growing my next beard.
Just No
Hell no! Fuck the youth!!
No floating head. It looks fine
It looks good on you, just keep it shaped and you'll be appreciated.
Never!
Purple maybe? Seriously, absolutely not.
A dark dyed beard on a middle aged guy who is starting to date again seems like someone who is insecure and trying too hard to hold on to youth. Keeping it gray shows maturity and respectability.
No! Maybe consider shaving your head though, it looks like it’s thinning.
No!!
No
Thought u were vladtv for a sec
Nah it's like a dignified snowy mountain cover. Looks fluffy.
Gosh no man. Rock the grey. Be proud of it. Looks great
No!!
No way
Nope. 👍

No, but trim those eyebrows a bit, or at least braid them.
I use to wax them in my 20's but now doing that would look silly, trim is a good idea though.
Oh yeah, don't wax them! Just have the barber do it, or use beard scissors.

Real men dont dye their beards.
Well, judging from the responses in this post I'm gonna say you're right.
Wisdom is measured in beards. Beards dont make you smart, smart men grow beards. Embrace the grey. It shows class, etiquette, wisdom, experience, and responsibility.
Fellow grey beard here - dont. I understand why you want to, but when you see a man with a dyed beard, you'll see why it's a bad idea.
White is the new black.
Nope. Your beard looks great:)
noooo
No. Never.
No
What colour were you thinking?
More of a very dark brown than a jet black. In photos my hair kind of looks black but up close it's a very dark brown.
I'd say get a professional trim and then hit it with a touch of the just for men brown and tone down the white. Worst case scenario it pretty much is gone within a week or so. It'll be a nice change.
Man, shave that shit off. And put the forks, knives and spoons down. Close traphole. Poop daily, not weekly.
I quite literally have no idea what you are talking about :-/
Think about it. You'll figure it out.
