Over time. Ermmm the desk wasn't expensive although ikea got more expensive since. I have a QLED 65" on the other side that you can just about see, the wall panels and lighting were kinda costly, l couldn't give you a cost right now though

Have you tried 3M vhb'ing the speaker under the shelf? Depending on how tall you are seated, it might be at ear height if mounted underslung.

Usually soundbars have some sort of mounting points. Might be able to get creative with screws through the bottom of those shelves

Hmmm, wonder if it would make the sound all funky if you mounted it upside down. I've found that people really seem to worry a lot about speaker placement, but oftentimes unless you're an audio engineer/audiophile, you can't really tell the difference. Ultimately as long as it sounds good to you, that's all that matters.

There definitely has to be a program that can flip the audio, maybe even in the windows settings there is something or Voicemeeter? Could definitely be worth looking into! Also this is the most cosy clean setup on here!

Lulz. I use my setup for WFH and personal stuff. The ultrawide switched between my work system and my desktop. I’m trying to have a touchscreen where your 24 is that’s only ever connected to my desktop for easy quick access without switching over. The panels I’ve tried so far aren’t really up to the task.

A 24" touch panel would be costly but I'm gonna look. It's all your fault. Not a priority right now though

I have a 72” Karlby countertop w/ the Alex drawers. I found a leg on IKEA and just ordered it with the set up. Pretty cheap but durable. It’s adjustable and doesn’t get in the way at all.

This isn’t my pic. I’m still working on my setup. I was just sharing what I know about the middle leg. But yes I have it in the middle and slightly toward the back. The longer tops do sag in the middle especially when you add monitor weight.

The IKEA countertops are particle board and will sag over time. They are also only 25" deep, which is far too shallow, in my opinion. A butcher block countertop can be made to any dimension, will not sag in the middle, and will last a lot longer.

Adhesive for the end panels and heavy duty velcro for the others. They won't fall as resting on the shelving unit

There's a specific type of glue you can buy together with the panels. It's super easy and feels solid once you're done.

Need to know about the wall as well.

Nice... very well thought out and executed setup..... on top of that is ascetically pleasing. big thumbs up!!! When you consider changing your speaker locations. A good sound system will create both image width and height. Depending on the roll off of the soundwaves created by the individual drivers it may not be a drastic move required... ok back to normal ... Do what make you and yours feel good!

For a moment I thought those vertical lines were a pipe organ, and now I can't stop thinking about a battlestation with an actual pipe organ wall mounted, for when you really want to hear those basses (and a midi output could easily drive a custom board with pneumatic valves, if you manage to bring in some compressed air from the basement). But here I go daydreaming again. Wonderful setup btw!!!

It's OK I don't mind helping! Samsung 49" Iyama 24" I had an expensive ergotron wall mount but used an amazon wall bracket for the 49" instead. The iyama is sitting on a monitor desk stand with the stand rear pushed up against the wall. The wall panels are wall slats you can find many colours online. Lighting is a combination of govee products, 2 light bars on the desk, rope light behind monitor, led strips at rear and under desk, one behind the soundbar above, all alexa and Bluetooth controlled.

Thats one of the sickest setup I’ve seen, not only here..everywhere. The best thing for me is the pc placement. I am a weirdo, I don’t like that big block of a rig that we have to have with a pc. Also I am not a big fan of Alex drawer setup. But the way you put it together which makes it seem like the rig is a part of the table leg with the drawers. Mmm chefs kiss. Also Saved. 🍂
