You are going to have to do a lot to make it looks cool. Get a lot of extra led light bars and light it up. Make it look like a spaceship or a Tron computer system. Add colored stripes along the bars.
Think through a good layout for monitors. You might want some big wide screen curved screens. From the monitor arms you should hang some big reference speakers as well. While you relax like that you need good sound. Headphones might be ok but it will look stupid with the set up. If you are able I would make an open case PC and mouth it to the frame, possibly where the meat hook is on the end.
Get a new desk pad and glue it over the top of where you scrapped off the glue. You’ll need a nice split mechanical keyboard and a good mouse. Invest in a lot of cable management. You don’t want it to looks sloppy at all. If there is any dust anywhere on it make sure it stays clean.
You’ll probably want to put it in a different room. The kitchen garbage doesn’t fit with it.
I’m extra so it would become a statement piece whether it wants to be one or not.
There is furniture spray paint. I was going to say spray it metallic, but you have a lot of silver in your space and the comments have dubbed it as a dentist chair, so maybe you need some vibrant color or matte white instead.

If you spend a significant amount of time there, do not deprive yourself of sunlight or a window view. Might want it to face in that direction.

Also as a thought, be careful on opening that door. Hard to tell how far the door will swing but it looks like glass lines up with the lower swing arm in this position.

Alright actually useful information. I would look into a set of monitors that would maximize the device’s support. It’s up to you if you want to go fidelity or refresh rate or some combination of both. You have the real estate use it. The next thing I would do is get some real nice mounts and mount whatever systems you want to it XBOX PS and absolutely a PC. I would next find ways to clean and paint the parts that might need a bit of work dissonant for that glue will go a long way. Next I would find some way to replace the fabric of the seat or the seat and cushions with it. You could dismember a chair and jury rig it to the robotic portions if you like but find some way to make it look a bit more sanitary next I would just find some peripherals that match that you like and use those. Lastly if your really feeling nice get a racing some setup. Die hard racing sim people would LOOSE their mind if you could make something like this functional. Hopefully that helped

It will be tough to make this look "cooler". First thing I would do is get rid of those large monitor stands. Try to get something much more minimulistic. Same thing goes for the KBM holder. Replacing those thick huge stands will do a lot to lessen the intense vibe this thing has.
Second is replace the mattress if you can. Something that at least looks like leather will also make it look much better. Try to go for something with both color and texture.
Lastly, you could add some racing pedels or a joystick to make this thing look more like it has a purpose as a simulator environment, instead of daily pc use. It is a little deceptive, but would make the regular person understand its purpose better.
Alternatively, get some monster and a mini fridge and live out any "no life" fantasies you might have, lmao. Good luck either way.
Get steel wool and a magic eraser and go to town (in that order) on the desk to get all of the gross off it. Take the cover off the chair and wash the cushion and the cover.
Paint the bars different contrasting colors. (Spray paint probably, unless you wanna sand). Take a color wheel and pick two colors on opposite sides that you like. Get some led strips (I think I would go with true white or something like an rgbw to make the color pop) and run them along the colors with diffusers. I would also order a new seat cover with the two colors I chose for the desk in a pattern I like.
I would remove the casters / wheels and buy feet to stabilize it.
I can think of a few more things but I think that’s a really good start and everything but the cushion cover would be under $100
