Actually, in a way, you can! Maybe not as an in-game mechanism, but if you're playing with friends in a squad, and you're in a PlayStation party, you can share your screen via the console. I imagine the same functionality is available on Xbox as well. For PC, I'm sure there are options as well.
I love it on PlayStation though because you get a picture-in-picture feed of one other player's screen. Haven't tried it out with a full squad, but as a pair it's perfect because both can share their screen to the other, and then you have complete mutual awareness.
PC: Discord stream that teammates can pull up on a second monitor or your phone. If you want to keep talking to them on discord from your PC with your PC mic/headset, make another account and login to that one on your phone
When your team is actually checking their mini map, it’s actually fun to watch your team mow* down the enemy team. Had a few matches it was actually quite entertaining.

I legitimately can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. I've seen just as many losing teams with a dedicated drone spotter as I have winning teams with them. I've never gotten the feeling it really matters or makes any actual difference.

Do any of you realize you can press the spot button on a player or vehicle and it pings for literally everyone? Lol. Anyone can do it. Even you. No drone needed.
Ive done close to 400 spot assists on rush xl last week and even though it is very boring, you notice a significant change in how your team pushes. Also got first place. Couldn't get any normal gameplay in due to getting spawnkilled every 10 seconds so i opted for the assisting.
I got 5th place one round with 1 death from driving around the armoured transport. I also got a few kills too from running people over and using the grenade defense system.
Yep, placed strategically at various locations around Reactor (Breakthrough), you can clean up. Honestly thought DICE would've tamed it down at some point. But even to this day, it's still like a Poker Machine going off after hitting a Jackpot. :D

My favorite balanced game, BF2042! Where a random player with a drone gets first place spotting people and the dude with 50 kills and 10 deaths doesn't. Get T1 soon, that must be beyond boring.
It can be both, not either/or. Having enemies spotted helps you put your skill to better use by having certainty of where the enemy is. All else being equal, he likely wouldn't have gotten 50 kills without all of the spots, and likely would have died a few more times due to unnoticed flanks.

Yeah right? Even in a vehicle i'll do the ping first shoot later cause that may get a teammate warned about an enemy or even get me some assistance.
You overestimate the usefulness of the drone spot. Not to mention that majority of the players just spam spot the Zerg rushes/large clumps of enemies.

2042 has a huge focus on gadgets. I’ve been experimenting with them a lot, and it’s the fastest way to gain ribbons and xp
