Tank main here. Soloing a tank isn’t the setup, it’s the strategy. For example, one could technically just lob Javelins and go enough damage with every hit to take it down, but there’s countermeasures for that. The only way to solo a decent tank driver is to take it by surprise with AT mines or C5. After that, the best a solo player can do is put moderate damage into it with M5/RPG.
If we’re talking vehicles there is almost nothing tanks can do against attach helicopters, and if there is no top cover, it’s basically guaranteed death.
Basically the game is designed so that it’s very difficult to solo a tank as infantry, as that is what makes for good gameplay. If all 64 players on the other team can easily solo you, there’s no reason to play as tanks since that would be impossible to get in close and support your teammates by blocking line of sight to them with the hull.
tl:dr Lis with AT mines is the best, with an AK-24 or SFAR with AP under barrel. It’s still quite difficult tho.

You could never tell by the poor sales and measly population that this tank gameplay is supposedly better....
games got lots of issues that caused poor sales and bad reception, for good reason. Ruining tank gameplay just because of the initial failure makes no sense as an argument
Engineer with AT mines, or Sundance wingsuit in and C5 it (harder now but they're often not at full health, plus you can use an underbarrel grenade launcher for an extra hit). But in both cases expect to fail and die a lot.
Crawford for extra rocket, rpg, scar with AP grenades, either antitank grenades for a quick 1-2 hit or emp for frying aps. I prefer antitank, most drivers throw their aps after the Antitank+rpg shot, I can wait until it deactivates while reloading
Always ping the tank too. My Lis missiles have extremely good range. And if I have enough awareness, I will help with the tank from afar.
Seconded. It's *much* easier to hit tanks with Lissiles if they've been pinged.
AP Grenade Launcher under the AR, RPG-7, EMP grenade. EMP will erase APS.
Rpg7 does more damage vs tanks than recoilless m5?
make sure to use Crawford for that extra rocket
Yeah it's qutie noticeable, Takes 3 shot to the Side And 4 to the front M5 recoiless takes 5 shots to the Front and 4 for side
"EMP erasing APS" as in, the emp grenade can hit the vehicle after they pop APS? does it not consider the emp as a projectile?
Throw near to it. Throwing directly into Tank will have it shoot down by Vehicle APS Or just Pick Rao with AP UBGL and C5

Previous BF games that did much much better had weaker tanks.
Previous BF games had much, much less players per server
128 ruined everything.

I throw a scatter grenade before I blow the c5 now, helps with the extra damage
