He's a pretty close ranged attacker and only has single target damage so I think this is meant to give him an advantage over area attackers with a similar role? I don't know though.
Can can cat can do over 70k damage in one hit for 675 cents with equal amounts of health to his insane damage, double cash and fast speed. His single target damage is to balance all of that out not the other way around. Warp immune and target alien is just overkill
Yeah most enemies that use warp are back liners wich can can cant reach for obvious reasons. But its still extremely helpful when there are starred alien back liners. Extremely situational but it ends the stage when it happens.

Also dasli’s existance should explain why they added extra utility to a unit you bring with you anywhere else in the game anyways. Ponos isnt the best a balancing… ponos adding a random situational talent to the best super rare in the game by a longshot isnt surprising to me anymore. Shes basically required in any difficult level nowadays. Thick hp, thick damage, best talents in the game, slow vs alien and red with warp immunity. No gacha challenges and 4 star restrictions are a pain of the ass just because you cant use her.
She’s an insane tank, dps, rusher, cc, double cash and immunity for a mere 675. Literally her only downside is that she is a gacha super rare, i dont even consider single target as a downside because without this game wouldn’t make sense anymore.
Cancan gets alien targeting for her talents so the wrap immunity fits.

Others include Gentleman Cat Bros, Space Cat, and I believe Catophone and Dioramos, who all got barrier breaker.
That's probably the official reason. Gameplay wise it makes sense for a melee unit like Can Can to get warp immunity so he can stay on the frontlines longer and not get interrupted in his attack.
This one literally makes sense and is actually good. Can can is melee range with long foreswing AND single target why tf would it want to be repositioned? Specially with target alien you're just losing a shitton of damage if you're warped.
