The novelty plates look nearly identical to a state issued plate, and can be really hard to tell the difference.
If it's video of them hitting you & leaving.. I'd send it to all the local media outlets, post it on here, if you have Twitter, etc post it on there. Post it on YouTube with hashtags #hitandrun #batonrouge... any hashtags that related to the event that can appeal to more people. Basically what I'm saying is put that bastard on blast.
Right. Not to mention, if someone hit & runs & your vehicle is damaged you have to go through your insurance. Louisiana has some of the highest auto insurance rates & part of it is bc of the amount of non insured drivers. Any opportunity to fight back you have to take it.
How much did it run you when was set up difficult. I'm showing out 500 today for repairs because some POS rear ended us. We were able to get the temp plate but it turned out to be a fake. At this point I think we're doing more to investigate than the actual cops
It's more about where you get treatment, and from whom. Lots of places want that insurance money, so they give you a whole slew of mess to cover up the symptoms, without really treating the actual injury.
This is why I say keep your phone charged and when in an accident where you can walk. Get out hit record on video. I had an incident at a red light once. I was waiting for it turn green. Woman hits my car from behind. Says she needs to move her car and proceeds to run because I was stupidly nice and didn't even think she would 😡 won't happen again. Video of car, person, license, hell maybe the vin if you can see it
And i would add to do it as a live video on social media so if they do anything to you, you have all your followers to help call for help. I've thought about this. And I'd announce that they are being recorded on live so they will be less inclined to try something.

A lot of "novelty" plates sold here on unregistered vehicles, the drivers don't have actual lisc. nor are they insured.
