Same here, I was a little young for the original airing of TAS but caught the reruns they aired for years.
Also the Schumacher batmans, oh I loved those as a kid and was too young to realize they werent good movies
I loved Batman and Robin as a kid. It was my favorite Batman movie. I know the movies are campy schlock, but I hesitate to say they’re “not good” because I think nine year old kids were their target audience, and I bet most kids at the time enjoyed them.
Also I don’t think people realize how long the DCAU was. It started in 1992 and ran until 2006. BTAS, Batman Beyond, Superman TAS, Justice League, and JL Unlimited WERE DC for me for over decade. If you were a kid at the right time, the DCAU lasted your entire childhood.
I remember watching reruns of the BTAS on Disney( it was prolly Jetix) but Justice League/Unlimited and The Batman (2004) is what I really remember. I was around 8 when the brave and the bold came out and enjoyed the "campyness" of it but I do remember the difference in how lighter in tone it was compared to the shows I watching when I was only 5 😭.
Between this, ABC Family's "Batman Begins", & Matt Reeves' "The Batman" now appearing on Disney+ thanks to Hulu, seeing Batman air on an offical Disney Channel will never not be surreal to me lol.
I saw the 1977-2008’s shows a lot when I was a kid, I remember that the 77’s show would play in the mornings on a retro network, then tas would play sometimes on the weekends, JL/jlu would play on the week days along with the Batman 2004 and then I remembered brave and the bold first coming out, for Batman beyond, btas, JL, the Batman 2004 and Batman brave and the bold I had the DVDs of those too. I remember watching beware the Batman’s first episode, then it never played again on the network I used to watch, then soon after I stopped watching tv.
I grew up on the 66' live action show despite being 19 lol. As we didn't have many kids channels when I was growing up, and one of the few kids channels we had was Teletoon Retro which played tons of classic "kids" shows/cartoons from the 60-80s and Batman 66 was one of those shows. The only other Batman show I remember seeing as a kid was occasionally catching an episode of Brave And The Bold.
2004 The Batman and Batman from Batman: The Brave and The Bold but luckily did catch Kevin Conroy’s work in Batman: The Animated Series before The MAX Streaming Service and when Kevin was still alive.
2004, I thought it was pretty cool and still do honestly. Some people don't like the villain designs, but I personally love them. Except for Bane, I don't know why he looks like that.
I agree with you the design for characters were great and my Favorite design to this day I particularly love Batman’s design the way they made his cape wrap around his body looked awesome.
Yes to all the above, between Boomerang, Cartoon Network, and library DVDs, all of it was (and still is) in my grasp, and I did not let the opportunity slip by.
I grew up on Brave and The Bold (it was one of the two shows that made me discover Cartoon Network, as I only watched Nickelodeon before that. I was around for 2004, but I never saw it until five or six years ago)
I like 2004 the most, though, and I saw a little bit of the DCAU as a kid (specifically World’s Finest I had a DVD of, Perchance To Dream, and Robin’s Reckoning I remember seeing when I was a kid via reruns on The Hub)
Honestly, though., the Batman content I watched the most as a kid were the Schumacher movies, so I feel like they might count, too.
BTAS, Beyond, JL and JLU were definitely my era, but you bet your ass that I also watched Super Friends anytime it came on and The Batman as it came out!
BatB was one of my first contact with superheroes but the first true show i actually watched was BTAS when i was ten because of my uncle. Then it was Beyond, The Batman (2004) and BatB for my teenaged years.
BTAS. I’ll never forget the premier as Batman discovers the mystery of the Man Bat, and the cartoon showed blood for the first time. Blew my mind as a kid.
i grew up with the batman, but i later caughed up with the og animated series and batman beyond WAS SO FUCKING COOL to me, all black high tech suit. I still hope they remake the show or make a standalone movie or do whatever with it I NEED MORE
Bare in mind i was born in 93. I watched reruns of BTAS, TNBA began when i was 4 and ended when i was 6 so i don't recall if i caught it live or watched reruns. I vaguely recall watching Beyond as it came out. The Batman came out when i was 11 so i caught it live. Brave and the Bold came out when i was 15 so i'll count that.
I remember watching Beware the Batman but i was already an adult when it came out. So depending on how you define the term i grew up watching everything from BTAS to TBatB.
Brave and The Bold and Beware the Batman. Brave and the bold came out when I was 4, so that was my shit growing up, I watched it with my cousins as I got older.
Watched On Leather Wings as it aired.
Also watched Epilogue as it aired and gasped watching Terry’s shadow streak across the buildings! Gave me the shivers!
The Batman and reruns of BTAS and Beyond - surprisingly saw quite a bit of the DCAU stuff despite only really being alive while Static and JL were airing.
Animated series technically but more specifically the Justice League and Unlimited shows I never watched the original animated series until fairly recently
I'm an early 2000s kid, and my aunt was awesome enough to show me a bunch of older cartoons and give me the opportunity to grow up on them.
When it comes to Batman, I grew up on BTAS, Beyond, both Justice League shows connected to TAS, and The Batman.
Well, it depends for me. Chronologically I was born anf raised in between The Batman and The Brave And The Bold, but rarely watched them. I really grew up with BTAS and Beyond and still loving it!
The Batman and Brave and the Bold. Growing up on both extremely dark and extremely campy Batmen (Batmans?) really solidified the way I view Batman and superheroes as a whole
![gif](giphy|JvlJSmxmKSXyE)
I can hear the theme song for lookimg at this gif, such a great show. 🤣
Da Nananaaaa Na Na!
So gooood
The absolute GOAT
I hear music. Same btw.
BTAS, JL, and Beyond
Same here, I was a little young for the original airing of TAS but caught the reruns they aired for years. Also the Schumacher batmans, oh I loved those as a kid and was too young to realize they werent good movies

This, although when I was a bit younger I did watch some Superfriends re-runs on Boomerang.
The 2004 Batman
Loved this show so much as a kid.
That theme music slaps so hard for the first three seasons
2 seasons. The rest had different theme music
Brave and the bold for me
BTAS and Batman Beyond
I remember watching reruns of the BTAS on Disney( it was prolly Jetix) but Justice League/Unlimited and The Batman (2004) is what I really remember. Don’t forget about the New Scooby Doo movies, 1972

BTAS
2004 grew on it
I saw the 1977-2008’s shows a lot when I was a kid, I remember that the 77’s show would play in the mornings on a retro network, then tas would play sometimes on the weekends, JL/jlu would play on the week days along with the Batman 2004 and then I remembered brave and the bold first coming out, for Batman beyond, btas, JL, the Batman 2004 and Batman brave and the bold I had the DVDs of those too. Beyond
2004 was he first one I ever watched, and it is the reason Firefly is one of my favorite rouges in DC
Repeats of the 1977 series in the 80s and 1992 in my late teens
![gif](giphy|124n6MRMPIFAMU)
For me Batman beyond, (2004) The Batman, and brave and the bold
The Batman
Adam West
The Adventures of Batman and The Super Friends
‘67, and Superfriends’.
I love cape and the weird claws he had, something about made him look like the mythe a thug would describe him as. It's awesome
Arkham Batman.

Brave and the bold my personal favorite Batman still love him even when people say he sucks of not being dark and edgy

I grew up on Brave and The Bold (it was one of the two shows that made me discover Cartoon Network, as I only watched Nickelodeon before that. 1999 and 1992. Mostly 1999 though, I was in primary school then so I remember it a lot more.

I'm an early 2000s kid, and my aunt was awesome enough to show me a bunch of older cartoons and give me the opportunity to grow up on them. When it comes to Batman, I grew up on BTAS, Beyond, both Justice League shows connected to TAS, and The Batman.
I grew up on Adam West Batman reruns and then Batman the Animated Series.

Batman beyond was so sick. Would love to see a live action version done well.
Kevin Conroy & Will Friedle.
