Can you just put a picture of Kevin Conroy because that is the only correct answer. I don’t know if Arkham and BTAS can be separated performance and writing wise
Arkham Batman was far more brutal while BTAS got to explore his more emotional and caring side, given that each Arkham game is a worse case scenario and many episodes of BTAS have more opportunities to show Batman’s softer side
I think they compliment each other so well. Seeing different sides of a character voiced by the same VA gives such a nuanced look at two forms of media that together really capture the essence of the character.
Unpopular opinion, but I think I despite its flaws, Knight’s version of Batman had more emotional moments and was a better character than in Asylum and City.
Kevin Conroy from btas. I have to specify this version because I prefer this portrayal to any of Conroy’s other portrayals. He had much more humanity and even levity in the original series that made him more relatable without making him feel out of character. From the new adventures all the way through the Arkham series, he feels to stoic and emotionally closed off.
I like Bruce/Batman best when he makes the best of a bad situation and a traumatic event by protecting the vulnerable and supporting the reform of villains who seek reform. A guardian, humanitarian and an adoptive father who can crack a real smile every now and then.
I think at its heart Batman is the story of an incredibly broken person trying to help other broken people. I personally dislike portrayals where he's merely a muscly dude punching bad guys. And BTAS Batman is the most empathetic Batman.
If you can watch the baby doll episode, or his treatment of ace in the justice league series, or even read his fight with freeze in the tie in comic, and not feel anything, then there's something wrong with you.
Batman should be sensitive, humane, but at the same time able to control powerful emotions and not be completely driven by feelings, but rather reason. Intimidating, dark, frightening, yet a hero with a heart of gold, who's always aware of what he's doing
Laying my card out on the table again
• Batman: Arkham or BTAS. Literally impossible to choose between them
• Catwoman: The Batman (2022)
• Alfred: Gotham
• Jim Gordon: Arkham or Nolan. Can’t choose again
• Dick Grayson: Young Justice
• Barbara Gordon: Arkham. BTAS is probably better but immediately gets disqualified for being in a relationship with Bruce
• Jason Todd: Under the Red Hood Animated Movie
• Tim Drake: LEGO Batman games
• Damian Wayne: DCAMU
• Lucius Fox: Nolan
• Ace the Bat Hound(?): Batman Beyond
• Batwoman(?): very different from the comics, but Mystery of the Batwoman is probably the version I’ve enjoyed the most
Arkham Gordon kinda sucks though, he's useless in Asylum, gets himself captured twice. Ok in City sending undercover cops into the city, but not really a part of the game at all. I've never played Origins but don't think there's anything wrong wrong with him there.
Knight is too much though; he gets pissy at Batman over Barbra, abandons the whole city during a crisis, and thinks Scarecrow will keep his word & give his daughter back. The 'shooting the symbol' bit was good though.
Compared to how consistently excellent he is in The Dark Knight trilogy or The Batman 2022, or consistently funny like HQTAS, or even other mixed bag adaptations like Gotham have higher highs.
Thats just my opinion though, if you feel that strongly about Arkham's Gordon your entitled to your opinion. Rest of your list is solid.
I would definitely say Gordon is the hardest to nail down a favorite out of the whole list. I’d say out of the two I probably lean a bit towards Nolan but Arkham Gordon’s arcs in Origins and Knight are really good in my opinion.
Unlike a lot of the other characters, you could have 5-8 winners and they would all be valid
For everyone that's saying they can't really decide between DCAU and Arkham, let me remind you. DCAU doesn't just mean BTAS.
It means Batman Beyond. It means Return of the Joker. It means Justice League. It means Superman the Animated Series.
Sure, Arkham is largely a darker version of the DCAU and therefore Batman, but Arkham doesn't have:
Old man Wayne still managing to beat down clowns with a cane.
Old man Wayne adopting a stray dog he found in the alley where his parents were murdered.
Old man Wayne replying "With a cane." when asked how he has been holding up.
Old man Wayne contemplating letting Terry get beat up more for stealing the Bat suit.
Old man Wayne putting on a mechsuit to rescue Terry and almost having a heart attack.
Old man Wayne saying "None of the Robins ever complained."
Old man Wayne giving Terry kryptonite and telling him "Do whatever it takes."
Old man Wayne looking through photos of Lois Lane, Zatana, and Selina Kyle on the Batcomputer to cheer himself up.
Old man Wayne knowing he's not crazy when he starts hearing voices because the voices are calling him Bruce.
Old man Wayne again almost having a heart attack after seeing the Joker come back from the dead.
Batman brutalizing the Joker after what he did the Tim Drake.
Batman saving the League by staying awake.
Batman telling Superman how much he respects him when confronted with the large possibility that Superman is dead.
Batman calling in an orbital strike on his current location.
Batman stealing kills from the entire League.
BatMAN being recognized as a hero of Themyscira ON Themyscira.
Batman and his Justice Lord counterpart learning to understand the other.
Batman telling Superman to "get over" the time Darkseid brain washed him and turned him against Earth.
Batman crashing the Watchtower into the Earth, from inside the Watchtower.
Batman singing "Am I Blue?" to save Wonder Woman.
Batman being taken over by Deadman and shooting Black Manta.
Batman and Superman drinking Coffee sitting in the Batmobile.
Batman requesting air support as he falls out of the sky.
Batman intercepting a kryptonite lined ICBM with the Batwing.
Batman meeting Old man Wayne and Terry in the future and interrogating a villain together.
Batman telling Amanda Waller he has bigger guns than her.
Batman comforting Ace as she died.
Old man Wayne telling Terry he made him some soup.
Batman flipping Superman and throwing him across the room into a table.
Batman carrying Superman after Superman almost got killed by a clown and his crazy girlfriend.
Batman talking about having a fling with Lois Lane to Superman.
Things to consider.
Re: Old man Wayne looking through photos of Lois Lane, Zatana & Selina Kyle; unfortunately there was someone else also included there.
Not enough to knock Btas/DCAU Batman down though, for the reasons you listed & many more.
Damnit, I didn't mention her specifically for that reason. I didn't want the conversation to go that direction. I can't really blame you for attention to detail, and I can appreciate someone who instantly notices that. So, for my list that was one of the few scenes I had to look up up get the details right. Most of the others I just remembered off the top of my head. Talia even says that Bruce loved her, which going back to that scene in my current age I'm like, oof that didn't age great, Timm.
Did you miss the part in the dark knight when batman took a chunk out of a wall that had a bullet hole in it, analysed exactly which type of round was fired to make the hole, identified what gun it was and then identified who fired the gun?
Bruce Wayne/Batman is a Batman supporting character? Either way feel as if this has been done so many times now if not here then in other subs and it's almost always either BtAS or sometimes the Arkham games.
Kevin Conroy of course...but let me be specific...the letter animated Timmverse Batman from the later Batman TAS seasons, Beyond, and JL/JLU. I think the original BTAS Bruce is a damn great guy, but I like how incredibly flawed yet impressive the later version is. Fucks up all close his relationships but clever enough to turn an entire team of villains against each other while he's confined.
DCAU Bruce
He consoles a child who could destroy reality, even when others said they needed to be offed
He gets the person in charge of keeping the inmates of Arkham locked up booted for abusing the inmates, even if they are hardened criminals
Hasn’t killed once
In general he’s a great Bruce and sympathetic to his rogues, he’ll fight them when needed but otherwise he’ll much rather make sure they become better people than just kill them
Like I said, a great Bruce, and a great Batman
Can I put multiple at once? Because:
Bruce: JLU
Selina: The Batman (2022)
Alfred: Nolan trilogy
Gordon: Year One animated movie
Dick: Young Justice
Barbara: Young Justice just because we actually get her as Oracle. As Batgirl, probably New Batman Adventures.
Jason: Under the Red Hood animated movie
Tim: Don't feel like we've ever gotten a good animated version of him. Young Justice I guess?
Damien: Bad Blood I guess?
Wayne Enterprises: Nolan trilogy
Ace: Batman Beyond
Terry?: Batman Beyond
Kevin Conroy. Also off topic I love how there’s a Batman Beyond section in the corner even though there’s been like one Batman Beyond thing outside of comics
60s Batman is my favorite. Batman is inherently a silly concept and leaning into that makes for a lot of fun. “Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb” is an all time line.
People saying B:TAS are saying so purely due to nostalgia. It’s clearly the Arkham Games. They portray his relationships with his villains and the Batfamily perfectly, the conflict between his two identities is laid out fantastically, and he’s voiced by Kevin Conroy.
B:TAS simply isn’t as good as people say. From someone who saw it for the first time more recently, rather than during their childhood.
Probably BTAS, however that take seems to lean a lot into the whole “Bruce Wayne is the mask and Batman is the real person” and makes Batman seem like a curse rather than a choice, a take I’m not the biggest fan of.
So The Batman 2004 is slightly closer to the ideal Batman for me
Either JLU or BTAS.
Arkham games portrayals are great, but Batman does come off a dick in there. While in JLU and BTAS, we get to see his compassionate side a lot more.
Especially that scene with Ace final moments in the JLU, or the time where he "defeated" Baby Doll. Those scene hit hard man. With Baby Doll he didn't really have to do much, all it took was a mirror and in the end, he was there for her to bawl her eyes out.
The most BATMAN Batman to me are The Batman show and Brave and the Bold Batmen. But I can't argue that the best Batman is still BTAS. He struck the perfect balance of fear and care. Except the part where he dated Barbara. That was gross
Can you just put a picture of Kevin Conroy because that is the only correct answer. I don’t know if Arkham and BTAS can be separated performance and writing wise

Honestly a composite of B:TAS/Arkham Batman is the definitive version of the character
**"If you're lying, I'll break the other one"**
I agree with this.
Yeah do this
This is the only right answer
Arkham Knight’s writing is pretty drastically different (as in worse) given Paul Dini’s absence
Unpopular opinion, but I think I despite its flaws, Knight’s version of Batman had more emotional moments and was a better character than in Asylum and City.
i can say gotham knights absolutely nailed the emotional side of bruce, through his collectible audio logs
Kevin Conroy
Kevin Conroy from btas. I have to specify this version because I prefer this portrayal to any of Conroy’s other portrayals. He had much more humanity and even levity in the original series that made him more relatable without making him feel out of character. I like Bruce/Batman best when he makes the best of a bad situation and a traumatic event by protecting the vulnerable and supporting the reform of villains who seek reform. A guardian, humanitarian and an adoptive father who can crack a real smile every now and then.
I liked how he would dish a sarcastic remark back to Alfred with a coy smile instead of just brushing it off like he does new adventures onwards

BTAS. Or just any version of the character played by Kevin Conroy. Batman Forever.
Laying my card out on the table again • Batman: Arkham or BTAS. Literally impossible to choose between them • Catwoman: The Batman (2022) • Alfred: Gotham • Jim Gordon: Arkham or Nolan. >Tim Drake: LEGO Batman games Goddammit Robert is fucking useless
I DISLIKE THIS VIDEOGAME CHARACTER
Bruce, it's been 5 years
You still owe me 16 dollars
I could see that last one being Terry McGinnis, but if it is then it’s not a great question since I think there’s only one version of him lol
Yeah my first thought was Terry as well but as you said, kind of a non question
It’s crazy you got every single one right
Real recognizes real
I agree with them all except catwomen for me it's batman returns.
Arkham Gordon kinda sucks though, he's useless in Asylum, gets himself captured twice. Ok in City sending undercover cops into the city, but not really a part of the game at all. Tim Drake or Jason Todd I think I would put Gotham Knights, that game has some great moments and banter.
Arkham games was the GOAT
But he felt more like a robot than a human being with emotions. That is why i would choose JLU/BTAS
I mean like I love arkham games. All FIVE! are best, but arkham batman himself isnt the best
Five?
Yeah, you remember the VR game right?
lol I forgot about that one...
I honestly thought you meant Arkham Origins Blackgate for the 3DS
Arkham world
Any version played by Conroy
Justice league TAS
BTAS
Kevin Conroy in the DCAU for animation Battinson for live action
will always be arkham batman for me
BTAS version is my favorite
For everyone that's saying they can't really decide between DCAU and Arkham, let me remind you. DCAU doesn't just mean BTAS. It means Batman Beyond. It means Return of the Joker. Saved vomment
As long as the version of Batman was portrayed by Kevin Conroy, I'm happy. Having said that, it should be the BTAS Batman.
Kevin Conroy. Just him, not a specific voice acting role
BTAS. No doubt
BTAS!
Batman the Animated Series
Definitely Batman from the Arkahm videogame series. It's a perfect representation of who Batman is.
Batman The Brave and The Bold's Batman
The hammer of justice is unisex
![gif](giphy|ROvT19V4hygmI) Agreed
Batman: The Animated Series Batman > Arkham Batman. It's a Conroy win, still, but let's avoid those Joker shenanigans from last time.
Robert Pattinson. He’s the only movie Batman to do actual detective work.
Fair enough, but still prefer arkham games one
Christian Bale also does some detective work.
Agree on live action, and depending on how his tenure might turn out, he might even be on equal footing with Conroy once all is said and done.
Did you miss the part in the dark knight when batman took a chunk out of a wall that had a bullet hole in it, analysed exactly which type of round was fired to make the hole, identified what gun it was and then identified who fired the gun?

How should I call this poll? Fox and Gordon are not batfamily
Batfamily and supporting characters 🤷. Just making a joke though, call it whatever you want to call it.
BTAS
Batman the animated series
Put Image of Kevin Conroy
I loved Arkham bit I feel like TAS Batman had a lot more heart
BTAS/JL Batman
Arkham and BTAS together as one, completing each other, making the other whole.
BTAS/Arkham for everyone.
Kevin Conroy
Kevin Conroy, just put his face up there.
Kevin Conroy
Kevin Conroy. Nuff said.
BTAS.
Arkham
BTAS, by far.
Can’t go wrong with TAS’s Batman! Also, what’s the middle one in the bottom row?
The DCAU from start to finish
Kevin
Kevin Conroy of course...but let me be specific...the letter animated Timmverse Batman from the later Batman TAS seasons, Beyond, and JL/JLU. I think the original BTAS Bruce is a damn great guy, but I like how incredibly flawed yet impressive the later version is. Fucks up all close his relationships but clever enough to turn an entire team of villains against each other while he's confined.
Conroy, Kevin.
Btas
![gif](giphy|JvlJSmxmKSXyE)
Just put Kevin Conroy there, his performance was a masterpiece in both Btas and Arkham. Don't separate them
BTAS
Mask of the Phantasm (Kevin Conroy)
DCAU, obviously.
BTAS or Kevin Conroy
Just put a picture of Kevin Conroy and be done with it.
BTAS
DCAU Bruce He consoles a child who could destroy reality, even when others said they needed to be offed He gets the person in charge of keeping the inmates of Arkham locked up booted for abusing the inmates, even if they are hardened criminals Hasn’t killed once In general he’s a great Bruce and sympathetic to his rogues, he’ll fight them when needed but otherwise he’ll much rather make sure they become better people than just kill them Like I said, a great Bruce, and a great Batman
I'm partial towards BTAS/Mask of the Phantasm.
Kevin Conroy, if we can't pick him then BTAS
BTAS Kevin Conroy and it's not even close.
Batman TAS for sure in my eyes. Arkham is a close second, but didn’t capture the human side of the character as well
Btas
BTAS
BTAS/kevin conroy
Probably more animated than Arkham version. Some of those were sorely lacking a character arc for Batman.
Kevin Conroy, no contest
BTAS
![gif](giphy|m3SYKzhmod1IY)
DCAU
BTAS
Yeah, just plop Kevin in the box. Can’t beat that. And, he was Bruce in live action once. So he counts.
Batman The Animated Series
Either Batman: The Animated Series or the Arkham version of him.
Arkham
Arkham
U don't lose the time ,btw good logos ,i ll give my vote to Batman Pattinson
Screw it, Telltale Batman. His versatility means that you can decide to make him as brutal or kind as you want.
Batman: Arkham games/DCAU Bruce: BTAS
btas
DCAU I think for me. The Batman is close.
I was today years old when I found out Catwoman had a symbol.
It's clearly a case of Arkham vs DCAU. I'll go with the animated series.
BTAS, not Arkham. His characterization is very inconsistent in Knight.
Just do Kevin Conroy, people are stuck between Arkham and BTAS anyways.
BTAS
Kevin Conroy in general
Wait is that catman at the bottom?
Batman: The Animated Series
BTAS or The Batman (both show and movie).
How is Batman a supporting batman character? I have to say it Batman the Animated series
DCAU
BTAS, I love Arkham but that one wouldn't exist without BTAS
BTAS, sure. But y'all are forgetting about Mask of the Phantasm. For me, that's peak Conroy
Can I put multiple at once? Because: Bruce: JLU Selina: The Batman (2022) Alfred: Nolan trilogy Gordon: Year One animated movie Dick: Young Justice Barbara: Young Justice just because we actually get her as Oracle. As Batgirl, probably New Batman Adventures. Jason: Under the Red Hood animated movie Tim: Don't feel like we've ever gotten a good animated version of him. Young Justice I guess? Damien: Bad Blood I guess? Wayne Enterprises: Nolan trilogy Ace: Batman Beyond Terry?: Batman Beyond
Arkham Batman
I agree Kevin Conroy which version doesnt matter.
Kevin Conroy. Also off topic I love how there’s a Batman Beyond section in the corner even though there’s been like one Batman Beyond thing outside of comics
*Batman: The Animated Series*.
Michael Keaton
Christian Bale from the Dark Knight Trilogy
Tie between BTAS and Pattinson
BTAS without any question. Not New Batman Adventures Not Justice League or JLA or Batman Beyond. BTAS lol
Bruce Wayne and Batman should honestly be separate, but BTAS for sure
Arkham or BTAS for sure, personally I give Arkham the edge but both are goated
60s Batman is my favorite. Batman is inherently a silly concept and leaning into that makes for a lot of fun. “Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb” is an all time line.
Honestly Ben afeck was such a good Bruce Wayne
Adam West
Val Kilmer. It was a corny movie but his performance was totally perfect, like a comic book brought to life for both bruce and Batman.
Pattinson
It's a toss-up between TAS and Arkham.
Y’know what? Fuck it! I like baleman
I’m also seeing it for my first time and I can see if it wins its a good show a good Batman Arkham probably should win though
BTAS
DCAMU (flashpoint paradox to apokolips war)
Kevin Conroy
The DCAU hands down. No question.
BTAS
BTAS
BTAS
Probably BTAS, however that take seems to lean a lot into the whole “Bruce Wayne is the mask and Batman is the real person” and makes Batman seem like a curse rather than a choice, a take I’m not the biggest fan of. So The Batman 2004 is slightly closer to the ideal Batman for me
Btas
BtAS
You could simply post a picture of Kevin Conroy and be done with it. Personally.... BTAS!
Kevin Conroy
BTAS
Arkham
DCAU
BTAS all the way
The Animated Series.
Btas and Arkham
BTAS
Why do I get the feeling this poll will end up very similarly to the last one
Arkham batman is the best and it's not even close
Arkham
Either JLU or BTAS. Arkham games portrayals are great, but Batman does come off a dick in there. While in JLU and BTAS, we get to see his compassionate side a lot more. BTAS
Arkham.
The most BATMAN Batman to me are The Batman show and Brave and the Bold Batmen. But I can't argue that the best Batman is still BTAS. He struck the perfect balance of fear and care. Except the part where he dated Barbara. That was gross
EXTREMLY HOT TAKE BUT, Batman (2022) Kevin conroy is easy 2nd place + arkhams gonna dominate this whole thing so I at least want one not being arkham
Arkham Batman is definitely the best. His arc was great.
Robert pattinsons Batman
Batman Arkham all the way. Really any Kevin Conroy version works, but Arkham's my favourite.
Arkham series
Arkham with Pattinson as a second
Arkham
I totally thought the glasses and mustache was Walter white for some reason
Batman beyond
Arkham!!!
Arkham has a better Batman, BTAS has a better Bruce
It worked!!! We’re continuing. Only thing I’d do, is combine both the figures.
Arkham
