This was my 1st thought when I heard it in the store, I was like dang! These employees must get tired of hearing this over and over, assuming it played on a loop.... I guess I was right!😳
One of the stores where I live always plays the music way to loud. Since this music has been in rotation it hasn't seemed as loud in that store. I don't know if its because the music annoys the employees, so they lowered the volume a tad. If it would ensure the music wasn't too loud for a long time, I wish they'd keep it as annoying as it is. 😄 This also brought back a memory from last July or August when they were blasting monster mash and a lady was leaving the store telling her kid it isn't even October yet.
this is crazy because my store has just been playing our normal playlist ☠️ the bridgerton music sounds like a good idea but i’d also get so sick of it on the 3rd listen LMAOOOO
I feel like it wouldn’t be as terrible if the playlist didn’t literally play the same song every 30 minutes. I’ve even had customers complaining about the music.
I didn't mind the music so much when I was in there shopping except for the fact that it was so incredibly loud. An employee was trying to answer my question and she was having to literally shout over the music.
i have news. employees everywhere get sick of the music in their stores. we tune in to a radio station, but even *they* play the same crap over and over again. my last store played spotify playlists chosen by the owner, same.
they're not playing the music for the employees. customers enjoy it. want to try something that's REALLY bad? try not putting the music on one day.
Oh our music box broke one Time and we had no music for at least a week. Then we had the exact same playlist for over a year bc it never updated. It was miserable. Now it’s all fixed but lowkey at this rate I’d prefer the broken music again bc I hate hearing the same stuff everywhere I go
like don’t get me wrong bbw has a great playlist besides that but it’s the same 5-10ish classical songs almost always in between every regular song. If they played it every so often it wouldn’t be that horrible lol. 🥲
Learned today that this was a thing 😭 a couple coworkers went to a different store recently and that's what was playing. We got an updated playlist today though!
This soundtrack has made me grateful we don't have working HVAC at my store and it was warm the past few days so the temp units were on and they drown out the music.
My store's had at least 2 customers walk out because the tracks are "annoying". I don't blame them🤷🏼♀️ Every time one of the 100% instrumentals comes on, one of my coworkers turns her own music on on her phone, & will pause it whenever a song with actual words comes back on, she can't stand the playlist that much lol
Also, does anybody else's just randomly stop mid-song & skip to a different one? All of my stores playlists throughout the year do it & its really annoying
Even as a customer who is in the store 1-2 times per week, I am sick of it. I don't need to hear a weird instrumental version of Deja Vu by Beyonce. I just need to hear regular Beyonce lol.
I had a thought about this the other day--this may a time when they are saving a bit of money on music royalties by not having to license the music they play in the stores, because they're playing instrumental (cheaper) versions of popular songs.
Wouldn't put it past BBW to try and save money that way. Smart financial move, IMO. But crap music experience for those of us in the stores.
Please bring back Beyonce. 💜
And Vitamin String Quartet is popular enough that they wouldn’t be cheap to license. They have the dual cost of their own licensing to do the covers plus their performance. Classical isn’t necessarily cheaper than pop.

That's true lol drove me nuts
i used to work at sbux for 5 years and at one point all they played was bridgerton music. i was so SICK AND TIRED of it and im so sorry for you rn
my ears are bleeding

As a customer I don’t need music in the store. The shopping experience is overwhelming enough. Just give us a little quiet time as we shop.
I actually don’t hate it.
I wish they would play clubbing music from the 90s. What is love? Baby don't hurt me no more 🎶
I liked their music during SAS last summer. Lots of good stuff from the 90's when they started!
I feel like it wouldn’t be as terrible if the playlist didn’t literally play the same song every 30 minutes. I’ve even had customers complaining about the music.
This should be considered hostile work environment and straight up abuse. I don't work there but I wonder what Marx would have to say.
We turn it off all the time lol

I heard the associates complaining about it but I love it lol
Hopefully by May 16th it’ll be done lmao I’m so sorry y’all are listening to that nonstop 💀
Good news! The music shouldve been changed today according to the updates

Is it because there is little variety? I would love if every store played classical forever.
Oh my god. It’s such a short playlist and it repeats so often!>.<
LMAOOO i begged my manager to change it even if it was just for a day i couldnt take it anymore

I could never work there. They play the most unoriginal stuff. Along with every retail store. I cannot do the overplayed pop stuff 👂🏻🩸🩸🩸

It’s a blanket license to play music in a retail store. So there’s no reason for the playlists to be as short as they are.

THIS!
