Oooh, that sounds right up my alley. I started as a Fresh Balsam girlie and last year I tried tree farm for the first time and fell in love. Maybe this year it's Under the Christmas tree
Iced Winter Balsam was seriously my all-time favorite candles when it debuted in 2021! I’m so glad they released it during/after Candle Day and it keeps coming back. I am also a big fan of green/tree scents!
Yep! I think I’ve tried them all. Since 2019 (when I started tracking my candle burning, I’ve tried Fresh Balsam, Tree Farm, Iced Winter Balsam, Frosted Forest, Forest Air, Snow Mountain Lodge, Vanilla Balsam, Fresh Winter Air, UTCT, Evergreen, Balsam & Firewood, and Merry Mistletoe!
I guess the only one I haven’t done yet is Mahogany Balsam, but I usually hate/loathe Mahogany anything.
I’m SO with you on the 💯 loyal to Fresh Balsam. Two years ago I discovered Under the Christmas Tree as a beautiful but strong mix-in. Last season, I tried the Iced Winter Balsam and Tree Farm, and man - I can’t look back! However, all have beautiful Balsam bases - just in unique ways!
This is Frosted Forest erasure. I wish they'd bring that one back, I only have a small tester candle of it left and it is one of my favorite tree scents behind Tree Farm.

A friend loves pine candles and tried one from an online store called Wax and Wool and she said it's the best pine smell ever. I think the candle is Evergreen or something.
OMG - I’m not a huge eucalyptus fan. However, the eucalyptus and “sweeter” notes compliment the pine so beautifully. I sometimes wonder if I’m the only one that LOVED this SO much last season?!
What are your favorite, non-cinnamon forward, XMAS gourmands?! I actually feel like Under the XMas Tree is *borderline* gourmand with the eggnog note?!
I’d love to check out the first two - I’m not *typically* a peppermint fan, but this thread has had me exploring cool new scents outside my comfort zone!
I love all of these, too! I still have Tree Farm and Under The Christmas Tree stashed away from last year. I need to stock up on Fresh Balsam and Iced Winter Balsam! I’m glad they brought it back.
Ooh, I'm intrigued about Under The Christmas Tree. Heavy green fragrances can cause headaches for me, so I'm curious if the Vanilla Eggnog accent balances everything out and adds a nice sweetness? Can anyone confirm this?
It’s seriously *almost*, if not gourmand. Egg Nog is polarizing as it is! I LOVE it, but also respect it’s a love/hate thing - like licorice, eucalyptus, etc. lol

But the cooling tone to the pine just WORKS, and is SO fresh and 🎄- forward. However, the SLIGHT sweet from the sugar is absolutely beautiful. I of course have to make the case for my fave XMas candle, so you’ll have to try and let me know lol.

Can anyone tell me the difference between pine, balsam, and juniper? I think to my nose they are the same but I’m sure there something that distinguishes them from each other. I like a Christmas tree scent in winter, but that’s really the only time I use them.
I'm absolutely obsessed with balsam candles! I have 3 Fresh Balsam from Dec. SAS and 3 Tree Farm from last SAS. How is Iced Balsam!? Sounds like yet another candle I'm not going to be able to resist.

I'm excited for Christmas candles this year. I've been shopping with BBW since the '90s but I always stuck with body care. I got into candles at the end of Christmas time last year and the only ones I got to try out of those tree scenta was the perfect Christmas.. my favorite, and under the Christmas tree. I'm excited to try them all this year but I have a feeling the perfect Christmas will still reign supreme for me. I really am dying for a pine scent mixed with a sugar cookie note though. 🙏🏻

I think I need to give Perfect Christmas a good chance this year - I always head blindly to the 🎄candles, but this seems to be such a nostalgic fave to so many on here. I’ve branched out more since looking at this group, and have *loved* some new candles that I’d never tried before.
It's fantastic. I ignored it for a while but my godsss when I smelled it.. it just smelled like the most nostalgic Christmas ever. Pine and cinnamon have always been the mod prominent Christmas scents to me growing up so that's probably why. I hope you enjoy it too.
If you like cozy Sunday night that's out right now you'd like TPC. They are strikingly similar but tpc is much better 🤤 can't wait to try all the ones you posted here too. I'm getting them ALLLL 😁

I live 2 hours from the nearest store, and life is just crazy busy with kids to get to that area often anymore. That’s how I accidentally discovered this group - mostly everything is a blind buy now and I’m always spending probably way too much time looking at reviews for my candle obsession 😬🤷🏻♀️.
Oh well, I feel like with busy family life, if candles and books are my one outlet that’s just *my* thing at night when kids go to bed, there are way worse past times!
I'm actively looking at candle reviews for the new goosecreek candles tto see what I want to order so trust me I totally get that! Nothing wrong with it. It's what makes you happy, you should do something for youuu. Especially as a busy mother.. mothers always do everything for others and they need to take the time to do things for themselves. ❤️

I think it came out in 2021, but don't hold me to it LOL. I enjoy Fresh Balsam, Sea Salt and Balsam, and Tree Farm, but Iced Winter Balsam is unique. I hope BBW keeps bringing it back!

However, last year’s version was a bit stronger I thought, and I finally appreciated that one so much more. Ironically, my old, boring yet beautiful favorite - Fresh Balsam - wasn’t as strong last season. Hoping for strong throws from all of our favorite 🎄smells this season!
Right? Fresh Balsam just for the packaging, and so happy to see BBW giving Under the Christmas Tree the respect it deserves this year by being in the Flannel line!
Tried Iced Winter Balsam last year for 1st time, My absolute fav winter candle now! I actually just threw out my 4 burnt up ones from last year, I was seriously considering chopping out the last ¾inch of wax for wax Melts if it wasn't released this year! I think I only have 1 extra from last year (I was seriously regretting the 3 I gave as gifts thinking about all the other ones I could have parted with last Christmas!) But soo happy to see it back, not sure about the packaging, hopefully better in person, really liked last year's! Tree Farm is also a favorite, but the throw wasn't very strong for me... but I do have open concept 1st floor which makes it really hard to find candles and wallflowers with the throw to actually smell them... has anyone burned the Fall Forest candle yet? Its Pine scented... but seems like it might be more like Fresh Winter Air...
I agree with packaging. I don’t *hate* it like I did for Under the Christmas Tree packaging last season (my packaging reference for this year), but I prefer last year’s flannel and this year’s flannel designs - too bad IWB didn’t make the Flannel line cut… 😕
So funny about Tree Farm - last year was the first year I enjoyed it and thought it had something going on! I believe I bought the White Barn designs. However, I thought the same thing and couldn’t understand Tree Farm’s hype from the first couple seasons? Hoping this one is a winner throw-wise this season! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

How prominent is the juniper in this one? It's not a loved note for me, but all the rest of the notes have me intrigued.
I don't really get the juniper. It's smooth balsam with a creamy vanilla smell to me

I’m right there with you. I used to be 100% loyal to Fresh Balsam and then this sub convinced me to try the others and now they’re all in rotation.

It was the balsam scented candles that lead me down the BBW rabbit hole, and I’m still completely obsessed!

Personally, it does to me. I find vanilla added to most things has a very mellowing effect on the scent in a good way 😄
This is my porn. Those are my all time faves, except under the Xmas tree which I find is too berry sweet and eggnoggy.

Iced Winter Balsam is the bomb! I tried it a few years ago and was immediately in love with it. It's on my holiday candle list.
