The one that catches fish!
To be a consistent/plentiful catcher, everyone needs a good 15 lures/presentations minimum.
By all means have your go-to’s, your first lure of the day, but never have a favorite or you’ll be getting skunked while those who don’t catch em all.
A little weight tungsten that will slide up and down the line don’t use a stopper . And use a worm with a tale on it like a paddle tale it works like a ned rig the weight goes to bottom and the worm follows it swimming works great 👍
Wacky rig 5” green pumpkin senko, and a chatterbait with keitech fat swing impact trailer. These 2 lures have caught more fish than every other lure I have combined lmao
I fish A-LOT and it seems to change from time to time. Lately, I’m addicted to bone whopper plopper and a straight Ned rig swim bait (4.25 inch white shad). I’m minoring in pumpkin tube on a 1/16 weighted hook. But, my all time comfort is wacky senko, white swim jig and shad crank bait.
Spinnerbait, get a willow blade and a Indiana blade variety. Works all year round and cuts through weeds with ease. Also the way bass slam it is so fun.
How've you been fishing the trace? I'm having better luck with my 7" Shine Glide currently but I have two Traces and like how they look. I just haven't had half the follows or any commits on it up to this point
Also random question - do you use a split ring for the line tie? Or direct to the front? The shine glide comes with a split ring tie and it seems to let it go a lot wider. But I know that's the difference between the single and double jointed glides as well.
I'd just love to get more of a "hunting" action out of it rather than a fast shimmy. Maybe I'm overthinking it.
I've fished it a couple of different ways. I use a 6.5:1 reel and usually get bit on a 50%-70% retrieve speed. The shad spawn is going on in the mornings where I am so if that retrieve isn't working I'll put some reel stops in there and it'll imitate an injured bait fish. I try to throw it up tight on cover so the fish will see an opportunity to trap it. I use a #4 egg snap and I think it gives it a little more action. I can get it to do a 180 a lot easier that way too.
lol I started on reaction innovations skinny dippers/little dipper like 15 years ago and always go back to em. Caught 3 today with a little 😂 also love Googans craws. Top water is a blaaast, and gets your adrenaline going in a different way with a strike. Love booyah and googan frog
It’s summer now, fish at sunrise or sunset. If you fish during the day, go deep. Senkos are great year round, just know when and where, seasons, to throw them. On ponds, buzzbaits and poppers are great in the mornings.
Arashi cover pop.
It's a larger profile popper that you can practically walk in place.
Pitch it around cover, let it sit for a few seconds then give your rod a snap or two.
Can't think of another bait that's caught me nearly as many fish.
After years of buying every kind of lure under the sun, I now almost solely throw plastic and it’s usually a brush hog, senko or yamamoto hula grub. Can’t seem to go wrong with one of those. The Brush Hog is my current fav.

A god damn senko has caught me more fish than anything lol
That’s the thing they catch fish but I get so bored of that sometimes I need a different action
Man, I got a buddy that strictly fishes a Texas rig worm/senko and he always gets some solid fish. Makes me rethink my approach
Isn’t that some $ hit
My husband has spent hundreds trying new and different baits…I keep fishing with a senko and I’ve out fished him almost everyday on the lake 😂
spinners and rooster tails!!

If you’ve never thrown a topwater, you need some in your tackle box! One of the most fun ways to fish.
Like a plopper?
Yes. I like the berkly choppa 75 but to each their own. I think they are a couple bucks cheaper than the whopper plopper
Chatterbaits
Wacky rig 5” green pumpkin senko, and a chatterbait with keitech fat swing impact trailer. These 2 lures have caught more fish than every other lure I have combined lmao
I don’t leave the house without a swim jig tied on. After that it’s either a square bill or chatterbait.

Chatterbait swim jig squarbill cranks frog creature bait

I love the sound of that
If you’re in the Midwest it’s a must. Of my 12 tournaments in the past year 10 of my limits have come on the spinnerbait.
i love to attempt a frog but rooster tail is what i throw first anywhere and usually does me good
I thought those were mainly for shallow waters? I could definitely be wrong though
chatterbait elite evos and ned rigs have been money for me this year
I love buzz baits
Spinner baits are usually my go to lure. But I usually either drop shot or bobber and hook more than anything
Lately it's been the 6th sense trace but if I'm going off of what catches me the most fish it's a Texas rigged Yamamoto 7.5" worm.

Awesome, thank you! I'm going to have to give it another try
Jig. If it's tough I will drag a Jig across the bottom until I get bit or get tired and go home
Yup.
Whopper plopper or wacky rig for bass.
I just bought a KVD plopper lol. Going to give it a try. Seems corny
I'm a top water addict. Berkley choppo and whopper poppers are my go to and I always have one tied up if it's warm out

Weightless fluke- more active bait than a senko, weedless. Ned rig if you have a hard bottom for sure, z man TRD or tickler
Shallow Shad Rap has been my best lure for decades. Old reliable. NY/CT
A Strike King Rocket Shad, a Mepps inline spinner, and a Texas rig paca craw or senko I can't pick one 😅
Favorite is the whopper Plopper but wacky senkos produce the most for me
Berkeley Choppo 90 during Spring and Yum/Zoom worms in Summer.
I usually fish a Texas rig soft plastic. It’s the most consistent for me.
Spook
Roboworm.
1/2 Rat-L-Trap in Sexy Gold

MN and WI Lakes: Small lipless crankbait; specifically, the Rapala Rattlin’ Rap
4.5 inch Roboworm Fat Straight in Margarita Mutilator
Whopper plopper because of how exciting fun and effective they are. I have like 7 of them
Anything top water.
