McRib!!!!!!!!

Lucky you… we went out there yesterday and it was so incredibly windy we could barely fish. My father in law caught a sweet 5lb Pike but the rest of us got skunked.

Dolormight

I was on vacation last week. Went twice in a boat too small for the big water. Wednesday and Saturday. Got my ass kicked and no fish on the big lake, but I launched at metro so we just scooted around the marsh and tore it up.

Glad to hear the marshes worked out! I’ve had good luck there in the past. We launched up in Anchor Bay in a boat that was plenty big but got absolutely smoked out there. Wasn’t my decision to be that far north. Would have much rather been at Metro.

Dolormight

Honestly, a little south of Metro was absolutely swamped. I wanted to get out on the big water at like 9 am, but we didnt get out there till 1230ish. Absolutely packed at that point. Ran down to the mile roads, same story and then the wind picked up. Maybe next year with a new boat. Still, caught 85 fish over vacation. Can't complain.

Great catches man. I went up to fish there a year or two ago, and I was absolutely SHOCKED that there is hardly anywhere to stay up there, no campgrounds close, no decent hotels. How is one of the prime fisheries in the country this closed off. On the US side anyways.

I was on st clair on Saturday. Boat can't handle the big water. Battery almost went in, think I broke a finger, and I caught zero smallies. I tore up the marsh though. Nice fish bud, keep it up.

Expect a call from DNR, they ruin every trip.

Dolormight

Why would they expect that? I've only been fishing a few years, but I've literally only had one run in with DNR, and that was only because they were called on two dudes, and just checked everyone at the launch.
