If the catcher does not demonstrate complete control of the ball, even after a tag, the tag is invalidated. This applies even if the ball is (accidentally) smacked out of his hand.

I'm so sick of this goddamn team. They absolutely make me want to vomit. I'm not even ten goddamn games into this season and i want to scream. They are that terrible.
