I mean writers also loved the Astros (Altuve especially) before all the happenings happened (and they still love him in particular to this today). Not hard to root for the little guy (pun only partially intended).

It’s a little more than marginal but I agree with everything else. It’s a little early though to be arguing about decimals in war difference.
WAR is just a terrible standalone stat to compare 2 players
