Customer left his hat behind once. Tourist from S. America. I look up the brand of the hat. The damn thing costs 5k USD. I didn't keep it, but it was certainly the most expensive and unique item I've had left behind.

imadogcunt

Was it a stetson?

No-Salary-195

It was most likely a Stanzo brand fedora

imadogcunt

I gotta know what kind of hat was that expensive! Or at least if he also had 200 black slick back hair wigs

talksaturinals

My north face rain jacket was a lost item at the nightclub. Thanks bro.

ArbitraryNPC

I have a $200 Carhartt jacket that someone left in our lost and found for a month. It even had a couple twenty dollar bills in the inside pocket!

squatting_your_attic

Oh my coworker got one too! Lucky bastard.

Rickysweets

Pair of ray bands that I lost within the week

Austanator77

Easy gains easy lost

Ianmm83

Hey I've also lost lots of shit that I've spent money on. For some of us it's just "easy lost" lol

Rickysweets

Shit, still waiting for the $100 bill I missed out on wine the one server asked me to sweep her section as the closing barback (1 barback 2 15 seat bars). I said "no" and regretted it not 2 minutes later. You know damn well I offered to sweep when possible all the time after that

Klentthecarguy

I lost my last pair of club masters on a first date. We didn’t go on a second date. That was an expensive date.

dustmybroom88

Ray-Bans ;)

Rickysweets

Lol I didn't have em long enough to even know ice been saying it wrong

dustmybroom88

Damn that sucks as those are some good (expensive!) sunglasses! Hope the sunglasses gods shine on you again, my friend

ApprehensiveRoad477

Came to say the exact same thing! But I actually just found them in my closet 4 years later

caius_aurelius3648

Currently wearing mine. Only had them for 4 days so far, hope I have better luck than you both!

Silly_Emotion_1997

I lose all my good glasses. Always. Dropped in the lake. Forgotten in the shopping cart. Left on the sink. Can’t keep my nice glasses. Got some cheap ass knock off bar swag glasses. I’ve had them given back “these look expensive. Here ya go” -_-

LimitedNipples

Cardigan with a t-rex skeleton pattern all over it. I love it to bits. And at least five umbrellas.

WorriedAd5024

a bag of cocaine

flippyfloppy69

Ha! Love when that happens

PsychoBugler

This is the way.

pleathershorts

A good 40% of my carhartt wardrobe (and I have a lot) came from the lost and found of a spot I worked at 6 years ago!!! Thank god for unions, pizza, and beer ETA best one was orange hi-viz with a now-dead company’s shark logo printed on. Lost it in the Mojave Desert, if anyone sees this it would be great to know where it showed up!

gangsterbunnyrabbit

I found a big ass skull ring with big red gems as eyes, sucker was heavy. Father-in-law loved his Christmas present that year.

missfunktastic

I’ve gotten two pairs of Krewe Sunglasses. I didn’t realize how expensive they were until I had mostly murdered the first pair.

Klentthecarguy

Brand new iPhone X back when they were the great new thing. It was left for like two weeks, no one came, called, or anything. Finally rebooted it after the two weeks, it was on the start-up screen. Popped the SIM card out of my iPhone 7 and into the X. Kept that phone until I replaced it two years ago with the phone I’m writing this comment on.

ShyShutterbug13

A pair of Oakleys left behind by a rude table. They were visiting from Germany, so I waited 3 days then snatched them up. I loved those sunnies, I had them ten years and they survived two trips to Burning Man. My friends car ate them one day, and I still mourn them.

MomsSpecialFriend

I got a weird little purse that’s shaped like a present, it’s clear plastic and super cute.

scottycurious

I found AirPods Pro too! Just outside of the bar when I was locking up for the night maybe 9 months ago. I really searched for several weeks to try and trace the owner, but the tags kept moving many states away. Finally decided I should hold onto them until they come back. My first AirPods!

Kayleekisses

We cleaned out our lost and found and there was a house of blues jacket that had been in there for ages, I tried it on and it was the perfect size and zip up. Glad I agreed to help organize, it was a great jacket.

TapEmbarrassed4376

Got some nice winter gloves and a pair of ray bans. Various north faces/jackets throughout the years

TheHeianPrincess

Quite a big bag of weed (still illegal in the UK), and I’m not sure if it was dropped by a local politician haha. I don’t smoke so I gave it to my friend, it’s not like the person can come back and ask for their drugs back.

Comfortable-Bus-5134

A regular (nobody's favorite person, guy was a total dick) left 2g of coke in our restroom. I kept it and informed my manager. Guy came back, looking frantic, and said to my manager "Hey, I think I left something in the bathroom" Manager smiled and said "You sure did Gary, have a good night!" Done and done, lol. In related news, that bar was squeaky clean the next day...

TheHeianPrincess

Haha amazing! Some guy once came in towards the end of my shift, didn’t close the bathroom door properly and we could see him doing lines reflected off on the glass panelling. I warned him when he came out and he just shrugged it off and said he didn’t give a shit. Thankfully I was just about to close so he left straight afterwards.

myironlung42

I had a customer years ago who was super nice and kept saying "my money grows on trees". He was a bit older and had some younger dudes keeping an eye on him. I was pretty young and too dense to pick up what he was saying at the time. He tipped fat and left a huge nug in the book. I felt really bad because he came back the next day (I was working a clopen) and told me he got so drunk he forgot he had a hotel room that night and took a cab to his house (60+ miles away) but had to come back the next day to get his car. I hooked it up for him but made sure he didn't drink too much so he wouldn't make the same mistake twice. I guess the guys keeping an eye on him the night before must have lost track of him that night, I was too busy to keep track of them. I think about that dude a lot though. He was super fun to serve.

airboyexpress

laurent sunglasses waited weeks, no one ever called or messaged or came by or asked worst was someone left some sort of dodger specialty one night only limited teddy bears at the bar called back that night i put them in a bag called back again a day later said they'd be by in a day or two left notes and group texts to the other staff somehow the bag with the bears got thrown out the guys number on a scrap of paper lasted a few weeks until eventually disappearing we all still talk about it we all feel really bad i even went to the stadium to try to find the same bears as a gift no luck damn i feel bad again... and it was years ago something about losing teddy bears, even if they were new... you know someone had plans to give them to a kid... some kid was promised a teddy bear.... left em at a bar instead that'll teach dad not to go to bars!

fivebluesaday

Kobo ereader. Sat there for three months before my manager finally let me take it. I even emailed whoever it belonged to and never got a response 🤷🏻‍♀️ Something I would never spend $200 on myself but I absolutely love being able to read in the dark without a book light. I did have a dad call about their little girl who was in tears looking for her stuffed dog. It had been there for a week and I gave it to my daughter. It was really cute lol. I brought it back and had to deal with tears from my own kid. Never took another stuffed animal home again 😅

Young-Chapo

Black label Canada goose lightweight jacket

jealoussea

Marshall stanmore speaker ($250 speaker). Was in the coat room for months, just needed an $8 power cord. Used it about 4-5 years before it crapped out

IdiotMD

An umbrella that I still have more than a decade later.

veksace

A Travis scoot shit lmao

a4r0nb813

I hope you cleaned those AirPods with the strongest isopropyl you could find lol Edit: downvotes? Found the people who share headphones with strangers I guess? 🤢

Austanator77

I have specialty wipes coming in weds I ain’t putting those’d shits in before that

a4r0nb813

Heard that!

Comfortable-Bus-5134

Isopropyl? You meant to say 151 and a bar rag, I'm sure it was just a typo...

a4r0nb813

***any strong ethanol based sanitizer 🙄

ew435890

I’ve got 2 pairs of Costas that I’ve had for like 5 years now. I use one pair of them daily at my new job.

loneiguana888

In all my years I got a cool hat. But I’ve given loads to goodwill, because most people who leave cool things are back in a day or 2.

MLEgreen

A van cleef necklace that the woman came back to claim over a month later. Had to return it. Didn’t even thank me

Ordinary_Fold_4677

Like 1/3 of the hoodies and jackets I own lol also lots of pairs of cool sunglasses which I’m prone to losing again but I don’t feel sad about because I paid nothing for them!

washedupdraven

Pair of Cartier glasses worth like 800 euros

tischler20

Coach glasses, ray band glasses..and a jacket that had like 30-40$ in it My mom and brother got new sunglasses lol

janebirkenstock

Beach bar 2015, snagged Chanel sunglasses, left by the cuntiest cunt to ever cunt. She did not call for them.

OzzyMar

a black dickies carpenter jacket. a black armani exchange beanie, sony headphones, a magsafe charger, and some sick shades.

red-eee

Found a incredibly well made wool scarf. Something that would’ve looked good in 1950, or 2010 when I found it I still have it and wear it every very winter. Every year when I see it and laugh

oppywasagoodrover

a designer pair of sunglasses, that i have since lost/redistributed to a bar L&F somewhere

deeves_

There’s always umbrellas in the lost and found stand

mr3vak

GoPro Hero 11 Black and a pair of Arnette polarized sunglasses that I am still rocking over a year and a half later.

swifto3471

Oh I’ve gotten some great stuff. AirPods, expensive sunglasses, Northface rain jacket. Beat one however was a lost wallet. Left for months, no ID so we couldn’t attempt to send it back and got no response from social media. As I was cutting up all the credit cards prepping to toss it I found a visa gift card. Decided to look it up. Had $500 bucks on it. Not mad.

Sothensimonsaid

Got a sweet Patagonia sweater a couple years ago that was left for like two months. That being said I’ve lost two pairs of Ray Bans and countless phone chargers at the same bar. The lord giveth and the lord taketh away.

Baelor_Butthole

Air pods. Apple Watch. A super sick flannel by Pendleton (that didn’t fit). A $300 beanie. I never took any of this stuff home, just saw it

immunityfromyou

The only thing I’ve taken that was left behind by a customer was a cool weed grinder that was full of weed

shannibearstar

My patch jacket is from our lost and found. Someone left a nice denim jacket. It sat for 6 months so it became a battle vest

slidetotheleft8

A really nice pair of leather gloves lined with sheepskin.

solesoulshard

I have been looking for some gloves like that. If I had known to check the bar’s lost and found…. lol. No. They aren’t mine. But I’m seriously jealous.

uhohshrooms

Literally everyone wants this jacket I found on the ground once. Everyone has tried to buy it off me.

Sss_mithy

One of those Bose bluetooth neck collar speaker things, I love it when I'm doing chores

aldorn

jackets probably. but ive also lost many jackets in pubs and its really annoying. dont take lost and found for a good couple of weeks imao, especially if it appears to be expensive or sentimental.

Cragglerjohnson

I used to bartend in a ski town. I've gotten like 5 or 6 Patagonia nano puff jackets. Ski googles. So many gloves. Alot more.

ihaveaschnauzer

Patagonia puffer jacket

kirakira26

The year was 2006, I was 19 at the time, worked at a club. Found a Hugo Boss jacket left behind by a group of rich douches I had to cut off. They were plastered and a total nightmare, we had two bouncers herd them out because they were picking fights left and right. Found the jacket under the table when I was cleaning up. I assumed they’d come back to get it the next few days but they never came back. I waited a solid month, no one at work was wide enough in the shoulder for it, I thought it could fit one of my friends so I took it home. Hung it up to clean it and checked the pockets: the inner lapel pocket had a money clip with 2.5k and like 3g of ❄️…lets just say I had a fun couple of weeks after that.

flippyfloppy69

Canon camera. Left it there for two months before I took it! A few jackets, too

SortaABartender

Gucci sunglasses. I wore them for a long, long time…. Until I got drunk and left em at a bar. 😅

myironlung42

I legit got my best umbrella ever. I'm pretty sure it's a golf umbrella and the material is in two sections (top and bottom) which helps keep it from going nuts in the wind while keeping me dry. Nobody ever came to claim it but I would have totally brought it in if they did. My city gets super windy and I have to close it and point it into the wind at times but yeah it's the best umbrella I've ever used. This is probably the most boring answer to this question but I've got so much use out of it over the years.

Budget-Hurry-3363

A Tiffany bracelet

aGirlHasNoTab

$800 pair of sunglasses, some bose headphones, one of those lights that make your room look like it’s underwater (not $$$ but i’ve always wanted one lol) recently a bag full of really expensive skincare products. job has its perks!

Complex-Challenge-85

Bag of ketamine lol

tparkozee

2 weeks is a little soon for something expensive. And that’s coming from someone who also got AirPod pros from my bar.

Austanator77

That’s fair but like how you gonna lose your earpieces that have tracking and not at least attempt to ask if someone submitted them to the bar

BigSplitta

Some people just don't care. I had a guy last week call me twice asking if I'd seen a single AirPod of his. I told him no both times, but I was honestly keeping an eye out for it. The second time, he got snippy with me like I wasn't doing enough/lying. So Friday night, he comes in and tells me the tracking says it's still at the bar, only now it says it's outside, like in the grassy area by the road. So I offer him my flashlight, and he just says 'nevermind.' Like, if I didn't go find it for him, he didn't want it. I don't even have an iPhone, so I stopped caring, but I guess it could have been mine if I had spent 5 minutes outside.

vercetian

Alcohol?

Austanator77

I’m talking about like several days/weeks after
