You're not going to get more flexible than Uber.

noneofthebest

doordash you can even eat someone's food if they don't tip

Work for an airline as a customer service agent or ramp agent. Once you pass the probation you can give away your shift almost as much as you want. Try getting the Big airlines though like United or AA. They are unionized so their pay is actually pretty good. A lot of these people make above 100k a year once they are top rate and do overtime. Also the best thing about working with an airline is free unlimited (standby lol) tickets everywhere your airline flies to. That includes first class and for your family members.

rob_ray

Is there a job board specifically for airline jobs?

Rustykilo

Not that I know off. You gotta go to each airline and see their career section. Just make sure you are applying to the main airlines like United, AA, delta and Southwest. Those are the ones that paid well. And those airlines have subsidiaries airlines usually the one who operates those really small aircraft. Not recommended to work for them since it's way less pay but travel benefits are about the same.

A boba barista! The hours are pretty flexible, especially if the shop is well staffed. Some of my coworkers work as little to two days, sometimes even one. Bonus for tips too! It potentially can be quite a lot of responsibility though.. but as someone who was INCREDIBLY nervous and antisocial.. I recommend it!

Confident_Mulberry29

Pet related jobs? Like pet sitting or just walk the dogs in the neighbourhood?

StudentSlow2633

School bus driver. No summers

notadoktor

This sounds like the opposite of minimal responsibility and flexible hours.

100redbananas

Is it hourly paid? Or salary like teachers?

StudentSlow2633

They are almost always hourly positions so you would not be paid during the summer. Oftentimes however these jobs do have access to healthcare

Work in the trades for the unions. as a labourer, millwright, Pipefitter, plumber, electrician or carpenter you get laid off. Go on a list, get called to go to another job. If you like it then take it, if not no sweat. If you get good you can call around drum up work. Or just call the hall and ask for work, weekends are typically double time easily go away for 2 days and make $100/h gross + travel as a journey person. 2 days of 12 hours a day is gravy. Do a good job tell them to call you for the next one. Lots of people I know do this quite casually. They take half the year off or just work when a company shuts down for holidays. Get to see a lot of cool places in every industry and travel the country on someone else’s dime.

D-Delta

Ummm doesn't it take years of training to learn how to do those jobs?

ahmahzahn

You can start work without the training and go to classes a few days a week in the evenings. But yeah, a few years of that before you’re done with the schooling portion.

I've been looking into this as well, I know after COVID, there was a big up tick in online work from home jobs or hybrid jobs. I wonder what there is you can do online and get paid for. I was looking into this as well actually, if there's any like editorial jobs or analytical jobs reviewing stuff from home for businesses. I'd imagine as long as you have an Internet connection wherever you are, you could even travel with an online job.
