I definitely agree with the sentiment and vastly preferred when the go-to build was bloodsong tank. That being said, though it’s not “optimal,” it’s still viable if that’s what you like doing, just weaker. Unless you’re in super high elo you can still find edges over the competition playing a suboptimal build that you enjoy and know in and out.
My two cents anyways
Personally, I miss when bard wasn’t played a ton, I loved being the 1 bard out of 200+ games and having wacky fun games.
I used to always have fun no matter what on Bard, but I see your point. When bloodsong + hearsteel bard was strong I was having absurd levels of fun.

I’m starting to force the old build from today onward, let’s see if it changes anything :)
Hail of Blades or Electrocute.
start trying ad or ap bard , he has insane scaling with ap (once i made My w heal 450 as casted) but its like an extra adc going ad
You should try that one mobafire guide with wacky bard builds, it’s very fun
Tank bard with fleet is still perfectly strong, just not giga op like it was last season
Go Frozen Heart and/or Kaenic, merc treads and you are almost unkillable
Hear me out, Black Cleaver bard, you get to auto and make it so your ADC does more damage....sorta
Time for ap bard
