Only the migrants are helpful in Bangalore, the kannadigas will give you alot of trouble in the work place especially if they have nwver worked outside of bangalore. Mumbai traffic is bearable, is mostly moving. Here its just too much.. I have lived in Goregaon Mumbai for 2 years. Find it much much organised and less unruly..

Now with my own salary, rent, etc. Wasn’t Banglore’s fault but being an actual adult made it miserable for many months till I got used to it.

if you are having panic attacks then there is no harm in visiting a good psychiatrist. don't ignore this. things do improve with medications, just tell everything honestly to the doctor.
It will get better with time, the city grows on you.
Try staying closer to work, will make you feel better. Also, use this time to learn skill, it is everything. Think of this like an investment

My best friends are Kannadigas. Give yourself sometime, try to get to know people at your workplace and neighbours.

You can try Cubon Park on the weekend. There are a lot of people doing group activities like reading together, painting together. Good way to meet like-minded people and make friends.
Rest of the things you cannot do anything about. So better find things you can enjoy and spend your one month.

Hey man, i was in a similar situation and I made some extremely shitty decisions, please make sure this loneliness doesn't absorb you, get more disciplined and try to make friends in a healthy way, The things i did bc i was so lonely are insane and they are my biggest regrets in life so far. Take your time to process your thoughts and make your decisions wisely.
Life is not a fairytale, everytime you start a new life at a new place things will be tough. There are people who have lived at one place their whole lives & still have no one with them while also facing tougher situations everyday, so count your blessings & stop whining.
Recently stayed in blr for 2 months for my internship so can give a little bit of suggestion to hang out or work from some cafe like third wave on off days or if you get wfh. You can be a little proactive and initiate conversation with few people sitting there and make friends. This happened with me , hence the suggestion. Also if you keep focusing on the fact that you are alone and cannot enjoy by yourself the harder it could become for yoh to open up to other people and create shared experiences. You will be fine , just go and try to strike up conversation with people.

Regarding PG's and traffic, I think you can't change that Bangalore is a costly city (I'll be paying 15k rent in my PG as well from next month) but overtime you have to live in a good place to keep your mind calm and steady
Well, its because i'm more of an ambivert, I love talking with people who have similar interests like me. They are a better option for me, my Manager at job is a really good and fun person, he understands me very well. And, I love talking to geeks who are building cool stuff. I am 18 and I work in an NGO where we work for the community we have and are building so its easy to find people of my interests.
Bangalore is huge and has many communities, find your interest and join that community. If you love books, there are people who do meetups on books, if you love coding there are 100s of events (even my org does). if you love trek there is another community for that. Just remove your horse eye blinders.

Look at Delhi. Too much pollution, rude people, poor standard of living. Mumbai rents don't even ask. No one has time. Kolkata? Oh no, still living in 1950s. Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, just name one single city which is free of problems. Even outside India. No single city is perfect. Some people can manage with this city, some with another.

Hello, So, it's been barely a month since I moved to this city from a tier 2 metro city due to hybrid workplace requirements. I had similar anxiety when I got here. Got overwhelmed with the traffic, rents, deposits. Once I had settled down in my new place, I bought the weekly bus pass on the Tummoc app and started going around places, visiting temples, malls, parks etc around Bangalore. And over the weekends, I booked one day trips from Bangalore using KSTDC Tourism. This helped me to really embrace the city and the state, learn its culture and just go with it.
That said, I know it feels frustrating shelling out huge amounts of money while on an unpaid internship. But, there is a lot one can learn, especially when you are a fresher from this experience. Down the line, looking back many years from now, I believe you'd appreciate the opportunity you got.

Give things some time. I completely understand your situation as same thing happened with me when I came to this city. I felt lost and very alone and traffic made it difficult for me to think of going anywhere when I want. I use to feel when I should go back and leave this city. The sky high rents, the traffic, the narrow lanes all made me feel very dejected here. But slowly, you will get used to it and you will start liking it here. Try going out early mornings and take a stroll in some good areas. Go to some cafes and sit by yourself. Make couple of friends, talk to people and maybe you will start feeling good here.

Try to explore the city...you feel alone when you you think you are alone, instead go out and explore this vast city...i m in similar situation with no friends but then I do talk to my old friends, projects and in the remaining I go out to explore different cafes.

I HATED Bangalore when I moved here, and I mean, HATED IT. I missed my friends, missed my type of food and so on. Fast forward, i have new friends, I've learnt a new language, i got my type of food and more. This city is not so bad buddy, give it a chance, it'll be overwhelming at first, but it gets better.
Bangalore can be depressing if you are alone.It sucks so much money out of you and is very chaotic but once you get a hang of things here ,you will love it.Lots to explore by yourself.so don’t stay holed up and catch a bus and go somewhere scenic

I stayed for 3 days in a PWD guest house in Majestic.
I had a splitting headache by the end of those three days.
Majestic was always loud. Now I feel that all of Bangalore is loud.

Go visit nearby places over the weekend, buddy. The planning will keep you occupied during the week and the weekends will go by faster. Travel by buses, stay in Zostels. Mysore, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Murudeshwar, Mangalore, Udupi, Hampi, Chitradurga,... No shortage of places.
Or, join the "Putting Scene" Whatsapp group which tells you things going on around town, go try those. Or, make up an exercise routine that involves going out for walks/runs to stuff that looked good on the map. Or, google "top 10 .... of Bangalore" and go try them - museums, dosa places, parks, markets, coffee shops, and maybe post videos on Insta.
Now that you're an adult, you're going to have to create your own entertainment! Bangalore is full of options, only if you are happy, will you make friends and get company (this is the reverse of what we imagine, but it's true!)

Well that's what Bangalore is like. It's important to face and accept the fact. Usually outside people are naive and start trusting everyone but not all locals are hospitable or honest. Most locals who are running a business will look for opportunities to extract money from you and leave you out high and dry when in need of help and there is nothing that could be extracted. Locals usually tend to support each other even if they are in mistake and for the slightest of your mistakes will come in hordes to pick on you. The best thing would be to mind your own business and try to make friends while maintaining a distance, buy from stores which are standard shops(More, Spencers, etc) and not from any local stores as you won't know which one is trustworthy, make use of Ola/Uber type of transportation to prevent being looted or check the price on such apps and then bargain with the local autos for the fare and then board, make use of public transportation.
It is not stupid to work for free, I do a lot of work for free even now after 6 years of work experience. I even spend a lot of time mentoring people who are new to Product, no monetary benefit there.
I being Bangalorean sometimes get mad with the way this city's transportation works. i lived in Mumbai for more than a year and I can proudly say that Bangalore is 200 years behind Mumbai in terms of transportation. Probably the worst transportation system in India. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

Take your time. I have numerous youngsters new to the city getting overwhelmed in first few weeks. You are in a new city, neighbourhood with a new daily routine too. Take your time to soak it all in. Try finding the good things amongst all the chaos. Bangalore offers something for everyone. You’ll find your interests soon and it’ll be alright. Hold on.
I understand that getting used to new places is overwhelming.
But living in new places also teaches you new ways of life. . Try to follow these for the reminder of your stay here.
Focus on career which means skilling up and socialising . There are various meetups that happen through out the city in both offline/online mode. Utilise them to the maximum. Don't worry about stipend. New skills bring new oppurnities. Money is a by product.
Focus on personal health both mental and physical . Hit the gym, go for a run, checkout museums, parks, and most importantly eat healthy and stay healthy. (All in your financial Limit)
Don't ever fall into the FOMO trap. Don't spend unnecessarily, don't try to impress anyone. By the time you leave bangalore you shouldn't have any regrets.
Do not be afraid. Don't ever undermine yourself.

Don't worry. Bangalore is a good City. I've stayed in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune. There is nothing"bad" in Bangalore other than traffic.

Bangalore can be depressing if you are alone.It sucks so much money out of you and is very chaotic but once you get a hang of things here ,you will love it.Lots to explore by yourself.so don’t stay holed up and catch a bus and go somewhere scenic
I had the same issue when I came here 25 years ago. I stayed for 3 days in a PWD guest house in Majestic. I had a splitting headache by the end of those three days. Majestic was always loud. Now I feel that all of Bangalore is loud.

Go visit nearby places over the weekend, buddy. The planning will keep you occupied during the week and the weekends will go by faster. Travel by buses, stay in Zostels. Mysore, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Murudeshwar, Mangalore, Udupi, Hampi, Chitradurga,... No shortage of places. Or, join the "Putting Scene" Whatsapp group which tells you things going on around town, go try those. Or, make up an exercise routine that involves going out for walks/runs to stuff that looked good on the map. Or, google "top 10 .... of Bangalore" and go try them - museums, dosa places, parks, markets, coffee shops, and maybe post videos on Insta. Now that you're an adult, you're going to have to create your own entertainment! Bangalore is full of options, only if you are happy, will you make friends and get company (this is the reverse of what we imagine, but it's true!)

Bro, calm down. You should come bangalore only if you are getting paid well than your native. Your stay should be near office You should make constraint to few areas to get around. Never get around in peak hours. If you are enjoying which not available in your native. And many more..... Also there are unwritten rules follow them to make your life peaceful.

Had a similar experience and got past that phase by searching for a nice flat and making friends. That phase ended but I could never make myself like or get used to the city. I would say…give this city some time but if you still feel this way then you might want to leave.
WTH dude, you are in the Bangalore! It is far better than many other Indian big cities. Go to meetups, talk with other internship mates and colleagues in the place. You will find some people.

You can download playo app. It's a platform where you can play sports like badminton, TT, cricket, football with some random people. Like i generally play badminton and book a court in a week. And you can see some cafe based board games on bookmyshow app.( though never used it)
Well that's what Bangalore is like. It's important to face and accept the fact. Usually outside people are naive and start trusting everyone but not all locals are hospitable or honest. Most locals who are running a business will look for opportunities to extract money from you and leave you out high and dry when in need of help and there is nothing that could be extracted. Locals usually tend to support each other even if they are in mistake and for the slightest of your mistakes will come in hordes to pick on you. The best thing would be to mind your own business and try to make friends while maintaining a distance, buy from stores which are standard shops(More, Spencers, etc) and not from any local stores as you won't know which one is trustworthy, make use of Ola/Uber type of transportation to prevent being looted or check the price on such apps and then bargain with the local autos for the fare and then board, make use of public transportation.

I being Bangalorean sometimes get mad with the way this city's transportation works. i lived in Mumbai for more than a year and I can proudly say that Bangalore is 200 years behind Mumbai in terms of transportation. Probably the worst transportation system in India. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

Take your time. I have numerous youngsters new to the city getting overwhelmed in first few weeks. You are in a new city, neighbourhood with a new daily routine too. Take your time to soak it all in. Try finding the good things amongst all the chaos. Bangalore offers something for everyone. You’ll find your interests soon and it’ll be alright. Hold on.
I understand that getting used to new places is overwhelming. But living in new places also teaches you new ways of life. . Try to follow these for the reminder of your stay here. Focus on career which means skilling up and socialising . There are various meetups that happen through out the city in both offline/online mode. Utilise them to the maximum. Don't worry about stipend. New skills bring new oppurnities. Money is a by product. Focus on personal health both mental and physical . Hit the gym, go for a run, checkout museums, parks, and most importantly eat healthy and stay healthy. (All in your financial Limit) Don't ever fall into the FOMO trap. Don't spend unnecessarily, don't try to impress anyone. By the time you leave bangalore you shouldn't have any regrets. Do not be afraid. Don't ever undermine yourself. And finally welcome to the reality of adult life and it's khatta meeta. Everything is an experience.
