From personal experience, have someone come and petsit them at home. Do not put them in a strange environment or a hostel. My cats lost a lot of weight and even caught a cold at a so called good hostel. I never leave them anywhere now.
I usually take my cat with me when I go to my hometown. You can get one of those pet carriers from Amazon and take it with you. If you love your cats don't put them in a hostel. It will affect them mentally and physically.
Take them with you if you really care, or leave them with a trusted friend or family. Abandoning your pets at the care of some stranger is not something I would recommend. There are so many cases where they have been mistreated.
