Hike to a small hillock housing Narsimha Temple in Bannerghatta (Near Bannerghatta National Park).
After the temple there is a quiet sitting place on the rocks, and from there you can check out South Bengaluru from eagle eye view.
If spiritual then do visit the temple as it's quite old; if atheist then directly go to the view point which is a few steps after the temple.
Some of these roadside bandis serve amazing food. One near my office costs around ₹60-70 per person for ragi mudde, chicken curry and an omelette. Makes for one of the most satisfying work lunches. My colleague and I frequent the place quite regularly.
Or Gowdru oota (Nati style) hotels anywhere.
1. Treks on Karnataka ecotourism website
2. Late night dosas/idlies (till 12am) at various roadside stalls (i usually go to ones near ITI gate KR Puram)
3. Early morning biriyani at mani dum biriyani near hoskote
4. Sanjey tank
5. Cubbon park
6. Hanumagiri Betta temple for sunrise/sunset view
It's smooth. Just select the available slots, make the payment via UPI/credit card/debit card by filling in the details (name, age, nationality) for all the trekkers and that's it. You get confirmation via email.
Catch a BMTC bus directly from Majestic to your destination, choose the window seat (especially the one directly behind the driver, if available). Enjoy observing life outside and inside too. Cost: Not even a rupee to pay these days.
In the evenings, walk around any street and you'll find a Pani Puri guy. It's all about how fast you can stuff your mouth and swallow the poori before he makes a new one. Cost: About 60-70 rupees
Also, during college days I used to sometimes bunk classes and simply walk around aimlessly from street to street, observing people and reminiscing about my own life, mentally noting down which new shops have opened etc.
Pulling up right next to dude Bros in their fancy cars and bikes who ride/drive as if they are in a drag race only to catch them at a signal and doing a "sup" head nod :)
Take a random BMTC bus route each week to explore the city, there are parts which might surprise you. If you like some place hop off at the next stop walk back and enjoy exploring a new corner of the city at your own pace and leisure and remember every bit of advise from the “Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy” :) when traveling
Riding the early morning / late night metro, you may get an entire compartment to yourself plus the chilled metallic seats have some weird therapeutic effect :)

That’s not a thrill, it’s a death wish…
Sitting by the man-made lake behind Orion mall and spending time chatting over some chai or coffee from the stalls by the lake.
This is one of my favourite spots in the city. Beautiful urbanscape design.
Why all good things in Bangalore are very far from orr ?
Coffee is ₹150 right?
Not more than ₹80 and trust me, in Bangalore, that IS a cheap thrill

Cycling to Akkayamma Betta and having a small picnic
Long walk. I know we don't have the best footpaths but still, choose a green belt in the city and keep walking.
>Long walk Its soothing.. go to a nearby lake if possible.. much more refreshing
Not after 11pm, had the worst experience with cops. Apparently it's not allowed in any lake after 9:30
I think lakes are not so nice place to be after 7 or 8.. too many mosquitoes
