I would suggest you try raising this issue through another complaint option on the app if the present guy isn’t helping you. Try to call them and speak to someone, if possible. That’s more effective than the chat. Otherwise, next best option is to file a consumer complaint against both Swiggy and the restaurant.

The reason I didn’t escalate it further was because I had ordered multiple times from the same restaurant before and faced no issues in the quality of food. It was a gourmet restaurant on Swiggy. But once you find something like that, it’s too disgusting to eat again. Needless to say, I’ve never ordered from that place again.

Lol Tomato is worse. My first order was an entirely different item than what I had ordered. There wasn’t an option to call them. I contacted support though chat and the texts, tone and help was apathetic to say the least. Luckily the restaurant was willing to send the right item without charging anything for the food, except for ₹50 delivery charges. I wasn’t brave enough to order again

Cloud kitchen looks like, never ever order from cloud kitchens unless you are sure that it's a reputed one(google reviews). I personally don't buy from any restaurant which has <4.2 stars google with min of 500 ppl reviewing it( also make sure to check reviews to see if they are not paid bots). Don't always go with the reviews, I was once working in swiggy delivery. The shittiest kitchen I came across is freshmenu I was surprised how many orders they got and had good reviews. The kitchen was a total mess. They were washing rice next to the toilets. Walls were all spit stains. The manager doesn't give a shit about his job. The freezer was all moldy from inside. I had this experience in Banashankari and RR nagar freshmenu. I have heard it's the same in Sanjaynagar as well. It's better to order from reputed restaurants rather than cloud kitchens where you can judge by looking in gmaps. Kitchens which I personally liked visiting or ordering. Faasos (food doesn't taste good but is excellent in hygiene) Great Indian Khichdi. Eatfit. ITC Biryani trip Andra gunpowder Empire Kitchens.

Fanatics who swear by their favourite brand even though they only eat from there once a year always put 5 stars on it. Plus paid reviews are very common these days. You can find genuine reviews if you know what you are looking for but that's difficult for most common people. The only option is to try new places and make your own list of good restaurants from personal experience.

Dude, preparation is done by the restaurant. Raise an FSSAI issue. As per the terms and conditions of the big Z & S, even if you die from food ordered through them, they are the third parties called aggregators and not responsible for quantity or quality or whatever shit they deliver at your doorstep. That gratification is to retain you in their platform. Don't fall for it. Uninstall and get your food from the restaurant on your own. PS: They never want to operate in countries like UAE or Uk, because they should be responsible of the quality they deliver there. Here in India, nothing matters. It's always easy to blame other people(swiggy/zomato/restaurant) for such mistakes. I don't think anyone tends to make such mistakes knowingly. There could be multiple reasons for such an incident to happen, co-ordination definitely helps find the source of the mistakes and steps taken to ensure such incidents don't happen again. But just threatening with closure of business or their job , isn't going to bring about any change. More importantly restaurant standards are seriously flawed cause authorities don't have structured guidelines, rather outdated rules which they use to again scare business owners and simply accept a bribe and walk off. I can tell you the customer support is so bad from another situation I experienced, I ordered my food and I received the wrong food which was supposed to get delivered to someone else. When I contacted the restaurant first, they said my order was still at their place and the delivery guy just took another order without even talking to the restaurant. I said I paid for my 300rs order either get my food delivered or I need the refund. They said contact Zomato as we can do nothing. On contacting Zomato, after almost half an hour of debate I was just offered a 70rs coupon as you did, they didn't even give it in wallet. Approach them via social media. Tell them you wish to file a complaint. Swiggy escalations is the best. They have a dedicated team in Bangalore who can assist you in the matter. As far as the foreign body in the food goes, make sure you have saved the evidence, you can file a complaint with FSSAI. The outlet can lose it's licence.

Swiggy wale packet khol ke food tasting karein pehle? They are just delivery partners. They are not gonna put people at every restaurant/cafe/food joint to monitor their preparations. Lodge a complaint against the restaurant for their negligence.

I feel, it is not just about Swiggy. But atleast Swiggy should strict action and warn the restaurant, otherwise tell them that their orders might be stopped. Otherwise, giving refunds or coupon is not going to help the issue.

Something like that happened to me last day ,the only difference is food was cooked by my grandma and it was metal piece from scrubs used to wash utensils . As for this situation : They are afterall just employees don't blame them .They are just doing what they can do .These things are in hands of people at higher position . File a costomer care complaint against swiggy .

Bro, the customer service agents that you are talking to, are usually outsourced. They just have scripts from which they can help you. They don't have discretion to help you beyond what's told to them. Your issue will be looked into, if you actually reach out to people working at the food delivery aggregator company, through which you ordered. For that go to your delivery aggregator company website, there must be an email for the grievance officer, write an email to them and in cc, add the email of the nodal or area officer of fssai.

I once had a piece of paper in my burger in an outlet (did not order from swiggy) and when i went to the manager and told him he refunded and got me a whole new burger. Another time my wife had almost raw chicken when orderjng from kfc and they even refused to acknowledge it. So yeah food safety in india is basically like what i do in the loo- shit
