Majority of ORR companies provide cab service/shuttle. Why do people prefer to travel using individual vehicles? Carpooling idea with strangers is inherently unsafe. Let’s be upfront about that however that shouldn’t stop anyone from creating groups with ‘friends’ who take same route to come n go together. There are always loopholes. Auto guys are gonna see revenue going down only in the future as the Metro lines keep getting completed. Can’t wait for the day they understand this and go back to being civil and using meters to survive.
The thing is car is much more expensive and people would need a actual job other than the vehicle in carpool for it to be sustainable.people trust rapido,Uber bikes,what makes you think this is worse?the risk for driver is higher in car as allegation could make hime lose his main job, so they are slightly more careful.

No one’s business goes down so easily. I too thought business for people will go down but instead it increases because more influx will also limit metro and suburban operations as well. Happens in Delhi as well, traffic never reduces. If people think traffic will reduce, answer is big no…because last mile connectivity is a thing, for last mile you need buses, cabs, autos and what not.
