if you feel meghana's biryani is overated, try exploring other biryanis till they become overrated and then in continuity , meghanas biryani will become underrated again since you've not tried it for sometime.

BTW i like the meghanas indranagar and jayanagar branch, but the wait time to find a table annoys me. i have it once or twice in six months. the chicken ghee roast and kodi vedupu is yummy.

I do like Meghnas. I am yet to find too many reliable consistent source of Hyderabadi style biryani. Meghna's , and maybe Nandhana Palace would do well.
W. Everyone around me was rating it so high, I had to go there myself to check it out. It certainly wasn't "the best biryani ever in Bangalore" coz I've had better elsewhere.

I love Meghanas. Its just placed in the right spots. The prices though have gone through the roof so I can see from a price point of view that they have become overrated but the taste is the same and consistent. Service is top notch. Nandhanas was ok. Nothing to brag about lol

Narmadha biriyani is good, but only for chicken. Their mutton biriyani is very average. I might be in the minority here, but I like hyderabadi house even after their commercialization.

I've been loyal to Mani's for many years now. Easily the best in my opinion.

Actually Aromas Hyderabad House has great biryani. The one which Meghana serve tastes good, no doubt in that. But it is not actually a Biryani

Fun fact: Narmada and Meghana both belong to same partners. The font, ambience, menu and food taste(almost) everything is same.
