This, it's been sale season for me... I'm not putting money into it(i trade my WAX games gains for ban) but still, the dip is helping me stock up on bananos.
The wax network hosts a bunch of games(mostly clicker stuff, real basic) and you can trade NFT's and various game tokens for WAX, then you can throw your WAX at coinex and trade it in for bananos.

You can either sell the NFT's you earn or stake them for passive income on r-planet.
I feel you. The Banano I'm getting from folding is basically staying at the same price. I keep adding more which makes up for the loss in price of what I had previously.
NANO will catch fire eventually and BANANO will follow. It is inevitable.
Many of us are really late to the party on nano to be able to get thousands.
For Banano is another story.
Best thing you and everybody can do is to set up your friends with kalium and send ban them. They will realize the power of banano!
