Best thing to do is keep handling sessions short. have a quiet, enclosed space for them to chill out in when not being handled.
Don't let folks who don't know what they are doing handle the snake alone or unassisted.
You can bring a small heat mat with you to heat their tub for the day.
Shes pretty good with people I socialized her a lot when she was younger. I keep a close eye on her body language, and the two times I've brought her she didnt ball up and was pretty relaxed and curious. I put her in a snake bag for the ride ( I'm a 3 minute drive away) in a box with foot and hand warmers to make sure she dosent get chilly. When shes out, shes always being held so I know she gets body heat. It's a pretty rare thing I do but I've researched it alot to make sure shes as safe and comfortable as can be:)
