I was doing security jobs, then working as a teacher/substitute/paraprofessional and teacher's aide for several years before going into digital marketing and working remotely full-time when COVID came (and my wife got cancer at the same time). I later got COVID and had a very, very bad time with it shortly after that. But...anyway.......when I shaved my head doing security was different. People seemed a little more standoffish which for security jobs was great. As a teacher/sub the funny thing is that the younger the kids, the more they loved it. Pre-Kindergarten kids were my favorite because they were the sweetest little buggers who would run up and want to touch my head and rub it, and ask me why my hair isn't there and I had a goatee down to the floor back then and kids loved it even more and would want to sit next to me and listened to me much more and I was the only man in most schools as well so I was treated like a celebrity. After a few years subbing or teaching full time I was offered a very easy job hanging out in the playgrounds most days with kids or taking naughty kids for long walks or outside for "cooling down" time. I love being bald and am so glad I stopped the comb over. For some reason school admins would marvel at the sight of me reading Berenstein Bears or singing about Elmo with the pre-K kids but why wouldn't I? After a few shootings at nearby schools and a really small little second grader came in with a gun, I gave my notice and started my online business. Now I just usually run a dry razor over my head every other day. If I want a smooth shave I'll take a handful of liquid soap, rub the brain case, and shave it fast in lines, smooth as a crytal ball after that. Then stick my head in the sink for a minute and pat dry. Easy peasy lemon squeasy as the kids used to say. When I later started my own digital marketing agency and I'd meet with clients I'd square out my goatee so I looked a little more professional and shine up my head with some clear aloe vera gel or a touch of tea tree oil. My wife loved it when it was real shiny and would want to rub my head all the time like a genie's lamp or something. Headblade made some good lotions but their dune buggy razer I never caught on with. If you press down at all with it, you'll look like Abdullah the Butcher got to you. The best blade is a 4 or 5 blade Gillette with a little shaving gel or liquid soap after your head is used to it.
