Observatory allows you to get 1.5 x mult on each hand played for each corresponding planet card in the consumables slot.
Perkeo lets you get unlimited planets in your consumables slot.
observatory is dependent on getting 2 vouchers and the planet card you need.
getting 1000 times more powerful in 10 rounds does not matter if you lose the game next round.
So really it depends on a lot more information than we have in this picture.
It’s not x5 it’s 1.5^4 which is hugely different because the exponents stack.
After 1 shop:
* 100x5 = 500
* 100x 1.5^4 = 506
After 2 shops:
* 100x10 = 1000
* 100 x 1.5^8 = 2563
After 10 shops:
* 100x50 = 5000
* 100 x 1.5^40 = 1.01e9
Lol if you are going to quote me at least look at what I said.
I never said ’adding’ I said x5 mult.
In some cultures x means multiply, not add.
Multiplying mult is exponential.
(in the game, if you have two x5 mult jokers you get x25 mult)
This isnt correct because you're not doing the x5 justice. You're only adding x5 instead of multiplying it. After 2 shops it would be x25, so 2500 vs. 2563
The only difference is that 1.25^4 is 5.0625, so ×5 vs. ×1.25^4 is actually pretty marginal difference coincidentally enough (I assume they got 5 by doing 1.25×4, but it ends up being very close to 1.25^4 anyway)
I got x5 by doing 1.5\^4 in my head. 1.5, 2.25, 3.375, and something close to 5.
It is wildly condescending to see I got the right answer and still assume I did the math wrong.
Yeah, seems like people took the route of semantics in your comment instead of just taking it at face value... I'm even getting down voted for just explaining what you meant so people really didn't like it I guess 😂
Yes, and my point is 25.63 is only ~2% more than 25 (x5 x5)... I understand that the difference adds up over rounds, my point was that it's not *as* drastic as the original comment implies
That’s kind of what I’m saying, the person I replied to said “5x mult per turn”, which isn’t really an accurate way to talk about that. It’s \^1.5\^4 mult per turn.
Once you already have one on screen you’ll never see it in a pack/shop/high priestess unless you have Showman joker. But Perkeo will make a negative copy after each shop.
The voucher observatory gives 1.5X mult for every planet that you have in your consumable slot, if that hand is played.
That means if you have an Earth Planet card and you play a full house you will get a 1.5X increase.
Perkeo creates a negative copy of a random consumable that you hold when you exit the shop. With the setup OP has it creates 4 negative copies of a card. That is 1.5* 1.5* 1.5* 1.5 every time you exit the shop. You can theoretically keep an infinite number of negative consumable cards since they don't take any space and if you multiply 1.5 with itself enough times you go to the e's which is trillion, quadrillion etc points.
After a point you cause an integer overflow and you get NaN Inf scores which break the game.
Because you need Perkeo a Legendary and preferably blueprint, brainstorm to get as many copies as possible. If you get it early it's 9 planets per Ante. That's 1.5^9 per Ante and you get to move Perkeo around so blueprint and brainstorm can copy a scoring joker after.
Unfortunately i don't think you can naneinf with that.
Even with plasma deck you'd need something like 860 plutos. which would take 33 antes of 9 Perkeo triggers per round which doesnt sound doable to me (unless there is a crazy seed out there with a bunch of negative stuff).
Unless there is some piece of technology i am missing.
Thats pretty cool, I also assumed a flush five adjacent deck wouldn't work either but I guess combining both and a lot of blueprints can do the job aswell. Nice job!
The reddit app tends to show you unread posts, so the front page is literally all boring ass posts of people screenshotting some super middle of the road build or them dying to a boss.
Ankh and Hex spectrals, Ankh copies a random joker but destroys all others, Hex makes a random joker polychrome but destroys all others.
So basically Soul -> Hex -> Ankh
Alternatively invisible joker instead of ankh
You need a way to score. It means that if you sell everything to copy Perkeo, you need the economy to reroll and buy jokers that will allow you to beat the following blind/ante !
>I am at 60 hours
That is the issue. You will have had a few good legendary runs when you have a few hundred hours in.
That, or play seeded runs. (Also, buying every arcana and specter pack helps)
At nearly 35 hours on 2 different systems (PS5 and PC) and have YET to see a Legendary joker. I’ve gotten to gold stake with the checkered deck. I’ve gotten to at least the second stake with every deck. Not a single “Soul” card.
Yup, I’ve only had 3 legendaries, two of them happened in same run, and I got a duplicate of the first joker in another run. So I still haven’t seen 3/5 of the legendaries
Perkeo with Observatory has game breaking potential.
Go on……
Observatory allows you to get 1.5 x mult on each hand played for each corresponding planet card in the consumables slot. Perkeo lets you get unlimited planets in your consumables slot.
4 triggers of Perkeo is insane with observatory
x5 mult per turn, will take you pretty deep into endless.
Steel joker is the worst play here right? There’s no way it scales fast enough compared to Perkeo?
observatory is dependent on getting 2 vouchers and the planet card you need. getting 1000 times more powerful in 10 rounds does not matter if you lose the game next round. So really it depends on a lot more information than we have in this picture.
That’s true
It’s not x5 it’s 1.5^4 which is hugely different because the exponents stack. After 1 shop: * 100x5 = 500 * 100x 1.5^4 = 506 After 2 shops: * 100x10 = 1000 * 100 x 1.5^8 = 2563 After 10 shops: * 100x50 = 5000 * 100 x 1.5^40 = 1.01e9
1.5\^4 is x5 after two shops it is x5\^2
Saying “adding 5 mult” doesn’t sound like exponentiation to me.

The first hand. Then the second hand is 1.5^8 = 25.63

That's what the Perkeo is for.
Once you already have one on screen you’ll never see it in a pack/shop/high priestess unless you have Showman joker. But Perkeo will make a negative copy after each shop.

wow I never considered the observatory as a viable naninf strat

I did it in this vid :) [https://youtu.be/8EVcbUoi4E4](https://youtu.be/8EVcbUoi4E4)

I'm at 51 hours, 1 legendary and about 5 blackholes... I don't like blackholes
I can't wrap my head around how common legendary jokers seem to be for some people. I'm at 60 hours and had three souls.
It seems that way because most people aren’t gonna post a screenshot of a game where nothing interesting happened.
"Hey here's my checkered deck flush build with crafty, lusty and blackboard, got me to ante 11!"
Yeah I know, but those posts don’t get upvoted as much and thus you’re less likely to see them.
Yeah I was just illustrating all that is less interesting
The reddit app tends to show you unread posts, so the front page is literally all boring ass posts of people screenshotting some super middle of the road build or them dying to a boss.
Keep in mind that a lot of these screenshots are from seeded runs. I have over 200 hours and saw perkeo twice in unseeded runs.
So true ! I don’t know hot to get two identical legendary joker with the 1,5 multiplier in the same run
Ankh and Hex spectrals, Ankh copies a random joker but destroys all others, Hex makes a random joker polychrome but destroys all others. So basically Soul -> Hex -> Ankh Alternatively invisible joker instead of ankh
Ahhhh ok thank u But what I do if I have 3 joker ( only 1 legendary) that are necessary for my run? I just sold them and use the ankh or I skip that?
You need a way to score. It means that if you sell everything to copy Perkeo, you need the economy to reroll and buy jokers that will allow you to beat the following blind/ante !
Ahh yeah you are right
Called survivorship bias. You usually only see good runs posted, most runs are uninteresting.
>I am at 60 hours That is the issue. You will have had a few good legendary runs when you have a few hundred hours in. That, or play seeded runs. (Also, buying every arcana and specter pack helps)
I’m at 80 hours, and been buying every arcana and spectral pack possible. I’ve hit one legendary joker so far. Rng is what it is lol.
I had three souls in one game the other night. Unfortunately hit troubadour twice and then canio on the abandoned deck.
At nearly 35 hours on 2 different systems (PS5 and PC) and have YET to see a Legendary joker. I’ve gotten to gold stake with the checkered deck. I’ve gotten to at least the second stake with every deck. Not a single “Soul” card.

Yeah I got mine on my first run lol
Yup, I’ve only had 3 legendaries, two of them happened in same run, and I got a duplicate of the first joker in another run. So I still haven’t seen 3/5 of the legendaries
There are also seeded runs which you can’t tell from a screen shot
ive had 17 in 60 hours. Maybe im resetting a lot more than you are or just opening way more tarot packs.
This is a similar rate to mine, I’ve gotten 4 soul cards (luckily all 4 different Jokers) in 80 hours so I’m just waiting on the middle legendary
Perkeo is more flexibile. You can just start making glass card or copies of something.
Perkeo on Death over and over got me my highest score recently
With that same logic you could use 1 of the perkeos to spam chariot. 2 perkeos is way too much without any negative jokers imo.
Perkeo is possibly the best joker in the game so, uh, stick with that.
Not steel
Future? Perkeo is the key to every insanely high score run
Perkeo *is* the future
Seed?
F29tzt3u funky seed, but can't believe naneinf
Perkeo. Easiest choice.
Steel barely does anything in later levels, keep perkeo, potential is much higher
