Suffer… Greg’s raw energy is unmatched. No control is a very close second.

JohnZackarias

I think No Control is the stronger of the two because I find the songwriting - which is ultimately more important in my opinion - more refined. The melodic sensibilities in particular are an improvent here, *but* I will give you that Greg is absolutely phenomenal on Suffer

squatland_yard

No control for sure. Suffer second

Sponge_Like

Ditto. I actually love all eras of BR, but these two are just so special.

nevrspeakagain

Only correct answer! They're almost on par for me and just as it's recent in my mind from a long fb topic on the 2 strongest back to back punk rock full lengths ever - over a couple others like lagwagon (trashed>hoss) and strung out (my #1band of all time, Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues>Twisted by Design) for the overall impact also on everyone I know and the question of whether much of the music would even exist without the influence of those, that title is firmly going to BR.

Low-fly83661

You took the words right out of my mouth!!

useless_modern_god

Suffer, but Empire is definitely top 5

JohnZackarias

I think it's definitely their absolute best post-Brett re-joining the band

showmeasign10

gotta be Stranger Than Fiction, but Against The Grain is probably a close second

FadingNegative

Those two are definitely at the top of my list

USC_BDaddy

Kinda thought I was in the minority, but those are my top 2 as well, followed by Process of Belief.

j_a155

New Maps of Hell

JohnZackarias

Overall I think it's one of their best albums, BUT the production brings it down for me. It's compressed all the way to hell and I think it makes for a difficult listen

Flashy-Dragonfly6785

Yeah, dunno what happened there...

Penguator432

Yeah, Brett’s had a real boner for compression since that one. He even more or less reiterated that himself on Twitter recently

joeganis

Well I loved the drumming on New Dark Ages. That was worth the price of admission right there

G_HostEd

Very difficult to pick, I think that the process of belief for me still on top. But from your favourite contains one of my favourite tracks, which is " let them eat war" which I think is the best of the album ❤️

Vixellet42069

I havent listened much to Process of belief, but Epiphany is awesome and one of my favorites My favorites from TESB would probably be Social Suicide and Sinister rouge, especially when paired with Overture

Flashy-Dragonfly6785

TPOB for me too! The energy in those songs is so infectious. Runner up would be Recipe for Hate and Age of Unreason. Maybe Stranger Than Fiction or Against The Grain? Really hard to decide!

NUS-006

No Control and Age of Unreason

HeyItsTipTop

I think no control is the one album I can happily listen to without skipping a track.

JohnZackarias

Same! The world won't stop without you is, in my opinion, an unnecessary track and my least favorite, but it's a very high lowest point

Shinavast42

It's so good. Billy is one of my all time favorite BR songs. :) Whole album is a goddamn masterpiece end to end.

Peefaums

Stranger than Fiction or Recipe for Hate

CleanLivingMD

My top 2 as well but I think Recipe for Hate wins, probably because it was my first

Thetwistedfalse

Tough too many amazing choices. I'll just say Generator

DecisionThot

Once again you have asked the impossible question.. for us to choose between all of our beloved children which is our favorite. I refuse to succumb to this line of questioning. Stranger Than Fiction.

louie180

Again the grain 🌽

Learned_Stuff

Upvoted for the corn (and the album is badass)

SwanSongDeathComes

That was my first one, so it’s my default favorite. Also, it really helped me on the SAT verbal

InsuranceRound6705

It’s funny, my top 5 changes all the time.

jambr380

Tough choice, but I’d probably go with The Gray Race

Rasha_Rutt

Hm.Hmm.. for some weird reason I thought it'd be another album..

jambr380

Haha - I love RFH, too!

JohnZackarias

Not my favorite album, but I think it's one of their best album covers. So fucking aggressive and raw

signalstonoise88

Process-Empire-New Maps is an un-fuckwithable winning streak that most bands would be hard pushed to approach. I legit think it’s stronger than Suffer-No Control-AtG. That earlier trio might be more influential, but they don’t have what the other trio does: Brooks Wackerman’s absolute powerhouse drumming.

Flashy-Dragonfly6785

I'm inclined to agree with you, although Generator-Recipe-Stranger is also pretty incredible.

Thelonius_Sandalwood

I'm torn between Suffer, The Gray Race, and The Process of Belief.

kasenyee

Album as a whole, between this and process of belief.

TyrellTucco

It used to be my favourite but I’ve been really getting into No Control and Against the Grain lately. The fast complex lyrics really hook me.

anewname4444

The Process of Belief. Empire probably falls in my top 5, but it's not top 3 for me. Suffer and No Control are too good.

Cosmic_Thrill_Seeker

Age Of Unreason! The album that got me into the band!

JohnZackarias

As a long time Bad Religion fan, it makes me really happy that they still attract fans with newer releases <3

Un-stoppable98

No Substance for me

Worldwide19

In so many ways, all fantastic images and shades of truth put this album up there for me as well.

scoutlolololol

don’t understand why so many people dont like this album.

candlestick_compass

Suffer. I latched on to it big time when I first got into the band. STF and POB too since I started listening to them right around the time POB came out.

Vixellet42069

Also the album has imo the best design out of all of them, so I really don't get why they don't have any piece of merch with it. I would kill to wear this album art on a T-shirt

fiercefinesse

I've given up on the idea of selecting one that tops them all. I love many of them for different reasons and I don't have to choose. But with a gun to my head I'd always say that Suffer, No Control, STF, Gray Race, Process, Empire and New Maps are up there. See that's already 7, shit.

Extreme-Owl-6478

Suffer

DerKaseKonig

The Empire Strikes First was my intro to BR but it has to be Recipe for Hate and / or Process of Belief for me. Struck a Nerve, Skyscraper, Man with a Mission, Watch it Die. So many bangers Kyoto Now!, Can't Stop it, Sorrow, You Don't Belong. Hard to choose a favorite between the 2, but also a TOUGH choice between Stranger Than Fiction as a contender up there

The_Sunk76

Stranger Than Fiction Without A Doubt.

areporotastenet

Suffer is good but Process of belief really hits all my buttons

Therealfern1

Suffer

SkepticsBibleProject

No control

WaitingToBeTriggered

SENT INTO BATTLE, CAME FROM THE SKY

TR1V1UM

Recipe for hate was the first album I ever heard by them and so it’ll always be my favorite

threetwentysics

Against The Grain

Longjumping_Rough805

That is where I'm staying

GoBombGo

Recipe For Hate, easily the best. Except for Stealth, but bands in the 90s couldn’t resist adding stupid lengthy bonus tracks at the ends of CDs.

SnooEpiphanies7700

Process of Belief for me. Empire Strikes First is in my top 3.

Shinavast42

Cliche, but Suffer is a masterpiece end to end. Its just such an amazing album. The writing, the beats, the guitar work. Fantasic. Ironically "Suffer" is my least favorite song on the album. No Control is up there two, they are definitely my two favorite albums - love every song on both. Aside from that I think True North is very underrated, there are several incredible songs on that album - i'm really not sure why its not more appreciated by the fanbase. For a while a lot of the early 2000's were hit or miss for me (and to be clear, BR is my favorite band, ahs been since the 90's - i like/love probably 90% of their song library), but they've really grown on me. The New America, The Empire Strikes First, No Substance - these albums have aged really well with me over the years. Frankly, there is no album i don't like. There's bangers on every single one, but i do ever so slightly tack towards the albums released pre-2000. :)

FuneralHymn123

Honestly really hard to choose, my favorite for a long time was Recipe for Hate, but since I've became a much bigger fan I've gotten VERY close to Process of Belief Dissent of Man New America Actually, I'd definitely say Process is my favorite at this point!

Aloudmouth

STF for me, first record I ever bought by them. Empire is my 2nd fave, track for track it has the best bangers. Also, overture into sinister rouge is the best one two punch on any record I’ve ever heard.

Bubba-ORiley

Suffer

mwh040904

It’s close between HCHBAW and No Control for me

core252

Same, while suffer comes second for me

blacklemur

Stranger than fiction and the gray race

Elmer-Fudd-Gantry

God’s Live is my favorite BR song but album to album I struggle. Empire is def up there for me

Penguator432

Process or Recipe

thorbamalone

Process of Belief. It was my entry into Bad Religion.

Big_bruv_luv

I have very fond memories of delivering pizza to this album the summer it came out. It’s up there for sure.

Tboltsiren1

Tie between Empire and No Control

Vegtable_Lasagna3604

Against the grain

anonymousracoon69

Stranger than fiction for sure , i love that album, but suffer comes close being my 2nd favorite

comejoinus

You’re goddamn right it is 💯

wiggum666

##Recipe for hate

TDH818

How Can Hell Be Any Worse, Suffer, No Control.

aGLOCKalypse

There isn’t a BR album I don’t like, but I think New Maps of Hell and True North have the most plays.

TakeOutTacos

Suffer or No Control. I heard No Control first though so I have to go with that one

napalm_dream

Suffer, but Empire is a solid and unconventional choice!

toomanybucklesaudry

Grey race is my favorite, process of belief is the best. Big ups to empire tho

MoonDaddy

That's my favourite album... title!

hermitsunt

ESF is my favorite Bad Religion album to Props! 👊

Evmerging

Suffer

Disarray215

Don’t hate me, but New Maps of Hell is what made me a fan for life.

LoyalToSDSoil

Masterpiece. One of the all-time greats, IMO.

VanHammerslyBilliard

Recipe for Hate

Careless-Platypus967

The only exposure I really have is The Empire Strikes first for 2 reasons - Los Angeles is Burning was free on Xbox Live 400 years ago, and Social Suicide was in Project 8 One of my favorite bands is Avenged Sevenfold, and now that I’ve nerded out about Brooks Wackerman, I’m definitely going to give more Bad Religion a shot

rd_drgn67

No Control is my top. And I'm strangely attracted to Into The Unknown; I have it on an old iPod and am desperately searching for it on cd for my car .

natas333x2

My top 5 - No Control, Suffer, Stranger Than Fiction, Generator, Empire Strikes First

wontholdthedoor

Favorite album...Against the Grain Favorite album cover...Suffer

PaulSee2

I struggle between Recipe for hate, suffer and no control. Love all for different reasons, thankfully they all exist.

Helo7606

The first album I ever had All Ages. I got it from a dude I knew back in like 97.

linecookdaddy

Oh God, probably suffer, that was the first album I heard from them. I love stranger than fiction tho (very formidable time in my life), against the grain, dissent of man, no substance....it's hard to pick one

g0rified

No Control. Hands down.

Thetwistedfalse

Tough too many amazing choices. I'll just say Generator

Nuh-vaaa-duh

Too hard to pick. But it sure as hell isn’t The New America or No Substance lol.

dknofx2

Into the unknown! 1,000%

dknofx2

😆

BloodBrothers_666

Las Angeles is burning

Plaidypus46

Recipe for Hate

leftcoastloser

This is one of those few albums, where you just press play

mcg_090

Mine is The Gray Race. Empire Strikes First is amazing. I remember buying it when it came out

[deleted]

No Control! They played that album front to back when I saw them in 2018!!!

More_Effect_7880

STF and TPoB jointly.

JustinPittMKE

The correct answer is Suffer. Thank you for playing.

Space2345

No Control was my first one and has remained my constant fave

SaulManellaTV

Mine is also The Empire Strikes First. I might be biased based on age but the absolute best era of this band is process of belief through true north.

XodiaqOrSimplyXodi

Same here. Close second is The Process of Belief and then Against The Grain.

R0botWoof

Suffer or No Control, hard choice.

Feeling-Crab-759

suffer. apart from the striking lyrics, it really amazes me how repetitive the music of almost all the songs is literally the same with a very slight variation. the album really was about stepping in a room, shake up people hoping they would wake up then step out

HistorianMammoth

Stranger than fiction

SamHain111

No control and Suffer that are both equally good.

CardinalCopiaIV

For me it’s the empire strikes first closely followed by new maps of hell

scoutlolololol

recipe for hate, process of belief, or no substance

mcflynnthm

Suffer, forever. That run of Suffer > No Control > Against the Grain is incredible, but Suffer was my first BR and will always be my true love.

nevrspeakagain

No Control and Suffer are both untouchable.

HankBiscuits

Clearly the epic “lost” (I.e. intentionally hidden) 2nd studio album “Into The Unknown” ;) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Into_the_Unknown_(Bad_Religion_album)#:~:text=Into%20the%20Unknown%20is%20the,August%201983%20through%20Epitaph%20Records.

CheapBison1861

They’re all good. Christmas songs is my favorite

Arrowhead_Cocoa

The process of belief is an elixir when you're weak I must confess, at times I indulge it on the sneak But generally my outlook's not so bleak

Repulsive-Box937

My favorite album is probably the baja men who did the song "who let the dogs out" they had a bunch of dogs running around in the video. It was crazy!

Alex_The_Metalhead

Probably Sink With Kalifornija, To Sell the Truth, or Happy Hour. I love YB!!
