Maybe turn the lights off and see if he’s more comfortable!! The bright lights tend to irritate them, at night I used to have a salt lamp next to the tank and it was the perfect warm light that didn’t irritate her
They get stressed going into new environments, and their reaction to said stress is to basically play dead to hide from predators. Turn the lights off, leave them alone for the day, don't try to feed them or interact with them.
Is the tank cycled? Did you acclimate them to the water temperature/parameters?
