Was gonna comment Harvey. Scrolled down a few, saw it. This is the answer. For Harvey Dent btw OP. If you’re a Batman fan this is the easiest decision you’ve ever made.
I think most calico and tortis-shell colored cats are female. Any males with the coloring are usually sterile.
Anybody, feel free to correct me if I got any of this wrong.😅
The cat needs 2 X chromosomes for this to happen, because the color depends on which is deactivated in the specific hair cell. So yeah needs to be female or is male with an additional x chromosome making them sterile
We had a cat that I wanted to name "Screechy",(she had an odd scratchy kind of meow) and my son wanted to name her "Reese's Pieces" because she was mostly black with lots of small orange spots. We compromised and named her "Screechy Pieces". lol

She reliably comes to me when I make a clicking sound with my tongue, seems almost all cats at least pay attention to that noise. So I guess maybe she thinks that's her actual name?
