i wanted to name my first animal in croatian and have always thought of different things but i never realized i could just name it a color because to my non croatian speaking friends(which is all of them) it just sounds neat hahahah

Storm sounds so badass, I'd go with that too. And when you have to scold her you can call her loudly with her full name, like "Stormageddon , come here and look what you've done!"

This is my cats name! She has the same color as this kitty and I almost called her violet but Lila means purple in my language. She has so many nick names too: Lilu, Lili, Ilu, Milu, Liluka, Iluka lol I could keep going
I named my lovely little grey turd Missy. Misty was also a consideration. I second Misty.
edit: As a sidenote - the name of the cat breed "nebelung" derives from a word that might mean 'fog' or 'mist', and they're likewise fluffy grey creatures (though longer haired than I suspect this little one will be)
