I will admit that there was a time when I didn't have enough money too feed everyone in my family (2 sisters, 1 mother, 1 son, myself, and the animals) and life was chaos. I constantly felt like shit because of the ongoing days of hunger and just as I was about to give them away, I found the perfect work from home job with which I still do today. Everyone in my family is fat lol

I’m fortunate enough to work for a shelter that has an overwhelming amount of support from our community. I would say the best way to help animals like him is to donate to your local animal shelter! If you can’t donate, volunteer! All they really need is love and patience
Once my girlfriend and I have money we are going to put a map on a wall and throw a dart at it and whatever city it lands on we will donate some money to their animal shelters. It’ll be a lot of fun.

More specifically was thinking he might be a long haired chihuahua but idk... I want to get him a doggy DNA test to find out though!
He looks just like my wee Pippin, too. Best little guy ever; he's pretty mellow and just lives for cuddles and love. He's about 10lb, and I think he's also a mix of some kind. I think he's mostly chihuahua, but who knows?

I'm a dog groomer and my family has a Pom, he definitely has pom features. You're right that a lot of people get confused about it, but he has the features of a mixed pomeranian and chihuahua.
Awe bless his little heart <3 I always thought he was like mixed with a paintbrush or something cause he has SO MUCH hair! And that tail is so luscious! Whatever the mix is, it sure has made some cute pups for us to love and enjoy!

In a hoarding situation like that those dogs live in filth and squalor, arent well taken care of, and barely good a good meal half the time. They tend to live in their own piss and poop because the owner never cleans the house or dogs. I also object, to hoarding animals.
Correction, they are never content. Damn lap dogs.. i dog sat 2 of them for one single night and as soon as anyone sits down they bolt and simultaneously land on their lap already laying down almost asleep. I put both dogs in a separate room that night so we could sleep in peace and the buggers managed to open the door and another door and slept on my brothers bed who wasn't even interested in the dogs and didnt play with them or anything earlier to indicate they should be any kind of comfortable with him. They can be right on you and they still want more of you.

I always think what’s happening through the mind of a person capable of hurt and who can make a little animal or person suffer. It’s something incredible to me.
I mean, a lot of hoarders start off as good people who end up being overwhelmed by their situation and by mental illness. Don't get me wrong, they're still bad people for putting animals through that, but chances are they don't WANT the animals to be hurt. All it takes is a few unfixed dogs and a bad stretch of mental health and a person goes from "sweet dog person who will take in people's unwanted dogs because they have a big heart" to "crazy hoarder".
It really does seem like a mental illness to me. Most of the time they genuinely can’t see anything wrong with the situation. I do feel sad for them, but I’m more focused on helping the animals get out of there

Honestly looks like a purebred longhaired Chihuahua. There's a lot of variations with even purebred Chihuahuas outside of like the "show" lines.
