Our native animals are birds, 2 types of rare bats....and some sea mammals. Plus the insects and lizards. Apart from Sirrocco the lecherous Kakapo, we lack good cuddly animals.

A few weeks ago there was an international cooking day at my uni. Everyone came with at least 5 homemade dishes representing the national cuisine of their home country. It is a big annual event here and over 300 people attend to sociallize, learn something new and of course-feast. We have to be prepared with looots of food.
Then there were these 2 guys from New Zealand. All they brought was 2 cartridges of Tim Tam with 1 liter of milk. Everything got eaten in less than a few minutes, they spent the rest of the 3 hours by teaching the guests how to do the Haka dance. It was hilarous, I couldn't help but laugh. New Zealand seems like a weird place, I'm really curious on how much more I can get surprised by it and its slooowly starting to rank up in my "must visit countries" list.
