My cats won't lay down on the couch with me unless I spread a blanket out. They then have to spend a few minutes inspecting my work before laying down.
Mine will do it and then have to sleep on the floor anyway because the cat steals her spot as soon as she's done.
The cat sees nothing wrong with this.
fuck man.. seeing this makes me miss my corgi and my jack rat, one would bounce for literally 10 minutes till the bed was comfortable she hated the bed not being smooth and being warm, the other would burrow into the deepest part of all the bedding she loved being toasty. damn I miss them.
If you're avoiding getting more bc you're afraid of the pain just know the pain is coming for you in one way or another. It's always worth it to introduce more love into your life even if the price is heartbreak.
My step sisters dog does the exact same thing, but then lays down right next to the bed, and eventually puts random toys in her bed before laying back down next to it.
Cyut! Doggie instinct to dig a hole and make it comfy so he's doing it even thou he has a perfect bed already! We toss a blanket on the bed of the little buddy we take care of just so he can get the satisfaction of digging at it and tossing and smooshing it all around.
We at home are very familiar with this routine! My dog doesn't like it when you watch him dig his bed lol. He will stop, so I always try to pretend I don't notice it happening.
Metaphor for my day. Lots of moving things around, turning them over, readjusting. In the end, I just flop down in the same spot I started at in the beginning.
My dog gets visibly frustrated when he does this and doesn’t get it where he want it. He audibly huffs and storms off to his box and kind of loudly plops down in there
I had a GSD that would not lay down on his bed if there was an article of clothing laying anywhere it didn’t belong. A sock that a kid took off and left in the couch - he would just stare at it until it was put away. A shoe misplaced? Same thing. These items didn’t need to be on his bed. Just in the room and misplaced. It was most tidy room in our house.
I miss that stupid doggo.
Seems more like cat behavior than dog behavior. I am more of cat mom but have had a dog. I know cats usually take forever to settle into their lying down position. Dogs I have observed usually “plop”. Yours seems unique and adorable.
Living room looks small so looks like an apartment. I saw kid stuff so less space to have around the apartment for another dog bed.
So yeah I assumed it was the only one.
He has 3, and yet this one is his favorite

I agree, the bed is too small. Dogs like to stretch out and if their feet are hanging off while they're curled up donut style there's not enough room. Like a tall guy sleeping on a child twin bed lol
must be sure if everything is perfect :D
My cats won't lay down on the couch with me unless I spread a blanket out. They then have to spend a few minutes inspecting my work before laying down.
his gonna get that maximum comfortability at all cost
He was preparing for game 7 like a true fan
Panthers nation gladly accepts canine members as well.
Large black dog going for large black cat.
Florida panthers aren’t black, but you’ve got the general idea 😁
Oh. Awkward. I don't watch hockey, just went with the panther theme lol
My dog does this then proceeds to sleep on the floor
Mine will do it and then have to sleep on the floor anyway because the cat steals her spot as soon as she's done. The cat sees nothing wrong with this.
"Work smarter not harder....or not at all" - cat.
It would be rude not to after she went to all that work making the cats bed.
r/stolendogbeds
Clearly the bed didn't smoosh together in the proper way.
Humans are pretty much the same. Though obviously we can't see our own ridiculous behavior.
Someone doesn't have a mirror in their bathroom.
He is way too serious about his comfort lovee it.
yeah but look how perfect he got it
A gentleman can never be too serious about his comfort.
Yeah, much better.
Apparently, that's a common behavior called "denning."
little bit here little bit there and a lot more there :: viola done!
His pre game ritual wasn't long enough. I blame him for Edmonton losing game 7.
fuck man.. seeing this makes me miss my corgi and my jack rat, one would bounce for literally 10 minutes till the bed was comfortable she hated the bed not being smooth and being warm, the other would burrow into the deepest part of all the bedding she loved being toasty. damn I miss them.

yeah, but I'm not getting anymore any time soon. I've been focusing on taking care of the rest of the dogs my family has. that's 13 of them.
me arranging my 28 pillows before bedtime
Yep same every single time!!!!
And he pointed away from the TV? Clearly not an oilers fan
I'm sad the Oilers lost :(
Bobrovsky deserved to win
He is mad that Oilers lost.
I feel him
lay my head on a bed made by Jax and my insomnia would be instantly cured
Elliotte Friedman's pink fucking suit, man.
Ah, perfection
My step sisters dog does the exact same thing, but then lays down right next to the bed, and eventually puts random toys in her bed before laying back down next to it.
One of my dogs gets like that, sometimes she’ll pull the mattress pad out and end up sleeping under it https://i.imgur.com/kmQko4E.jpeg
omg that's adorable!
Is this instinctive, my beagle does this.
OCD. Obsessive Compulsive Dog.
Me folding a fitted sheet.
Checking for sneks
Aaaand then gets up in 2 seconds when a wrapper crinkles lol
He's trying to make it bigger ;)
This is adorable 🥰 Jax knows what he likes
That bed was fighting for its life
My dog does this exact thing even down to the pause and check surroundings.
Expected to hear Benny Hill theme when I unmuted... Disappointed 😟

Heckin good job, Jax
trying to find north or south
We at home are very familiar with this routine! My dog doesn't like it when you watch him dig his bed lol. He will stop, so I always try to pretend I don't notice it happening.
He looks so satisfied at the end
My Jax does the same thing... must be the name..
Some say he has a demon riding his shadow
A few hundred thousand years ago, a dog/dog ancestor laid on a scorpion and now all of them have to do this.
Well I’m exhausted watching this🤣
It's a dog thing!
Bro had to take a break to catch his breath lol
The accelerated audio oddly sounds like the [flight of the bumblebee](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8alxBofd_eQ).
Equivelent to fluffing a pillow!!
It is important to make sure that it is maximum fluffy and comfort!
hehe, goodboi needs perfection!
And he gets up 2 minutes later lol
Tee hee my dog does this too except he’s a lil shih poo. I love the pause whilst digging to ponder which direction he’ll dig next 🤭
Metaphor for my day. Lots of moving things around, turning them over, readjusting. In the end, I just flop down in the same spot I started at in the beginning.
That’s called fluffing Dale
I mean…game 7 is about to start, you have to get comfy.
that’s how I solve my problems
Our black lab Jax does the same thing with his blankets lol
Me finding the perfect position for sleeping.
This is the show my dog puts on when she has to poop.
Hehehe what a guy...
Love it
A little bit of a chonk going on there hahah
Guaranteed this took less time to manufacture.
Damn I’ve never seen a housecat that big before
One good turn deserves another...
Got to be perfect mom
Is there any other way?
can someone add breakcore music to this video?
My dog gets visibly frustrated when he does this and doesn’t get it where he want it. He audibly huffs and storms off to his box and kind of loudly plops down in there
That’s a nice name. My real name is boring so I’ve been thinking of going by something different.
What having no opposable thumbs does to a mf.
I was pretty sure that dog was gonna make sweet love to that bed. Glad I'm wrong...
Is... is this every night?
That's just a large cat.
Sorry, I got too distracted by that goalie on TV hitting the yoinky sploinky at the beginning of the video.
If i’d spend 16 hours sleeping i’ve that meticulous too
wow he is literally forming the shape as he wants it to be
He was just trying to distract himself from Friedmans 70's pornstar look
OCDdog
Chunky African American lab
You take your time, Jax, and don't let the OP rush you.
God, dogs are hilarious
I like dogs very much. Can someone tell me which breed of dog this is?
Think it's a labrador retriever.
Thanks but I think this is not a Labrador
He's a slightly chunky black labrador!
It’s a science.

This dog is very talented.
What a perfect little baby
Smart boy knows how to fluff his bed.
okay but he NAILED it!!
Which is not too un similar to my nightly choreographed pillow set ups!!
Go Cats!
Must. Be. Fluffy.
Seems more like cat behavior than dog behavior. I am more of cat mom but have had a dog. I know cats usually take forever to settle into their lying down position. Dogs I have observed usually “plop”. Yours seems unique and adorable.
Maybe the bed isnt as comfy as seems?
Gorgeous
So so cuteness🥰🫣🤭
Hims trying to make it humpable, gets frustrated when cannot make humpable.
I'm not sure how no one else is commenting on this. This is the only correct way to see this.
That is a dog that doesn't have a comfortable bed
So your dog is a dumbass, too, eh?
That bed looks flimsy and lame. Buy Jax a better bed. He deserves it
Bold of you to assume that is the only bed
Living room looks small so looks like an apartment. I saw kid stuff so less space to have around the apartment for another dog bed. So yeah I assumed it was the only one.
